Lia's POV:
"So what's your name sweetheart?" Kelly asked me. "Lia Fillipetti." I answered trying not to show that I was more nervous than I had ever been in my life. How old are you?" she asked. "19." I replied. This was all i've ever wanted ever since the age of 11 and now it's happening. Don't screw this up I thought. "Where are you from?" "I'm from Houston Texas." I answered, this time not as nervous. You rock at singing, you've got a kick ass outfit on from Forever 21, you're going to get in stop being so scared. I thought, calming a little. "Do you have any family with you today?" she asked, smiling at me. This made me feel a little bit better. "Yes, I have my sister, brother, mom and Dad." I answered. The fact my family was watching and everyone at home made me even more nervous. "What are you singing today?" Simon asked. "I'll be singing Just A Fool by Christina Aguliera and Blake Shelton." I answered, smiling. "Whenever you're ready." The music started, and I sung. Give it your all. I thought.
"Another shot of whiskey, please bartender"
Out of nowhere, I started walking around the stage. I closed my eyes, imagining I was at home, in my room, door closed. Somehow, I had the courage to open my eyes again and when I opened them, Simon was smiling. He's smiling! I thought He must like me! The rest of the song I knew like the back of my hand, because i've rehearsed it over a thousand times. When it was done, everybody in the audience was clapping. After that Kelly spoke. "WOW! That really was something. I see so much potential in you. I think I see the winner right here in front of me." She said, smiling. Was it really that good? I thought. Well obviously it was because before I knew it each one of the judges said yes to me. "Thank you so much." I said. I felt like jumping up and down. I felt like crying. I felt like screaming. It was a dream come true.
