I walk up to their apartment and knock. As I wait for them to answer, I look around their small yard
which is covered with green grass. I also notice flowers lining the stairs case. Grendan must be in
to flowers. I hear running on the other side of the door before it flings open, revieling a rushed Grendan.
" Hey," she says smiling, breathing heavily. "Hey," I respond, and walk into their apartment.
" So whats up?" She says standing their awkwardly. After a short second, she turns and walks to the
kitchen, indicating for me to follow. She goes and stands over the stove, cooking. She then looks at
me expectingly.
"Oh, I came here to see if Autumn was alright after last night. I still really do feel
awful," I state simply.
" Came to check on Autumn, ay? Well I would assume shes fine since she only had a bloody nose,"
Grendan gives me a knowing look and it's starting to make me uncomfortable.
Before she even got the chance to speak Autumn came in the room still wearing her pajamas. When
she sees me she just nods her head indicating she knows I was there. I do the same and she snorts
going over to the refrigerator. Grendan wiggles a finger at Autumn. "No leftovers. I am making
breakfast so you are going to have to wait a few minutes," Autumn groans at this. " Do I have to?"
" Better things come to people who wait," Grendan response wise fully. Me and Autumn both laugh
at this. Autumn seemed to notice that too because she quickly stopped laughing.
" Niall, why are you here?" she asked confused.
" I, uh, I came to um, see if you were alright," since when do I stumble over my words?
" Um ok? Im fine so you can leave now," Autumn waves a hand for me to go.
