Penthouse Dye
"How are we gonna pay for this Jazzy?" Callie asked as she stared at the hotels pricing. It was the cheapest we could find in Paris and it was still way out of our comfortable price range. There was only one upside to having a dad who was a business man. A business man who luckily owns hotel chains. Thank god that I have a dad like that.
"Cal? Look at the name." I stated, waiting for her to study the brochure. She looked up with a devious grin.
"I knew that."
"Sure you did." She totally forgot that my dad owns the Warner Hotel chain. Whatever. She's allowed to forget. It's human nature. I walked up to the front desk, leaving Callie to watch our bags as she relaxed on one of the chairs, reading the information on the paper.
"Comment puis-je vous aider, manquer?" The man at the front desk asked automatically without looking up from his papers. He continued to shuffle through them. That's quite rude. I coughed and he looked up, rolling his eyes. "How may I help you, miss?" He repeated in unsteady english. I scowled. He's being such an asshat right now. Great staff we have here.
"Je vous ai entendu la première fois." I snapped. (A/N: She said I heard you the first time.) What can I say? Mom and dad made me learn french since I was a baby. It's engrained into my head by now. "And stick to the french, asshole." I growled. Ever since being kidnapped and put through hell, I must of grown a backbone. I never would have said that to someone before everything happened.
His eyes widened in shock. "Mademoiselle, comment puis-je vous aider?" He asked much more politely than before. I stuck my chin up, trying to convey confidence in my posture as my mother would.
"Je voudrais une chambre avec deux lits." I replied easily, acting as if it was nothing. It really was nothing to me. French came to me as easily as English. (A/N: She said I would like a bedroom with two beds.)
"Combien de jours allez-vous rester?" (A/N: How many days will you be staying?)
"I don't know yet." I replied offhandedly. He nodded shakly, entering things into his computer.
"Name?" He asked roughly.
"Jasmyne Warner." I stated flatly, waiting for him to react. Wait for it...
"Oh, mademoiselle. I am so...so s-sorry. You have the penthouse. Free of charge." It was hard to understand his words, but I got it in the end. I nodded with a smile. I knew that would happen if I mentioned my name. My father does own the hotel.
"Merci." I replied sweetly, waiting as he handed me two room keys. I walked back over to Callie.
"If we ever go home, remind me to have my father fire him." I muttered to my best friend, who shot me the funniest look ever. "What?"
"Just surprised that you would want to be mean to someone." She teased. I punched her shoulder lightly.
"Shut up." I laughed. We grabbed our bags and made our way to the elevator. We were on the top floor, so the ride up was long, but it was way better than having to walk it. I opened up the door, not at all surprised by the room before us.
Living Room:
"Wow." Callie exclaimed, dropped onto one of the couches. "This is amazing." I nodded with a smile. Heading into one of the bedrooms, I left my bag on the bed and entered the bathroom attached to it. It was an amazing bathroom, needless to say. I did my business and finally looked at myself in the mirror after washing my hands. I studied my brown hair and eyes, easily identifiable by anyone who wanted to find me.
This is gonna suck.
I entered the living room, finding Callie flipping through TV channels. I grabbed the remote and turned it off. "Hey hoe, I was watching that." Callie joked, but I was serious.
"Cal?"
"Huh?"
"We gotta dye our hair."
"What?!"
"Maybe get some colored contacts."
"Da fuck?"
"We gotta look different than before." I finished, staring at Callie's stunned face. This is gonna be bad.
"We have to dye our hair? Do you know how much I love my hair? I know you do! I am not going to dye it! That is not happening! And colored contacts? What the fuck?? Have you completely lost it?" She finished her rant out of breath and panting. I took that as my oppurtunity.
"We have to." She plopped down on the couch.
"Why?" She whispered.
"They can't find us." I muttered and she nodded, agreeing with me. I sat next to her, rubbing her arm. "Look at it this way. You don't have to dye your whole head. Just look different." I stated. Her head snapped up.
"What are we waiting for?"

"Do you like it?" Callie asked, spinning around so her hair flew around about her head.
"Love it!" I squealed, running my fingers through the new blue. "Can I see what mine looks like now? Is it done?" I asked excitedly. Callie wanted to surprise me by doing it for me. I still don't know what she did.
"Oh my god! Cal, I love it! Thank you so much!" I shrieked, crushing her in a hug.
"That's what friends are for."
