Chapter 9: What Can I Do?
I looked at my computer and my heart began racing. I didn’t know whether or not I should tell Louis, or let him find out on his own. I was scared that the picture would get back to Paul or someone, and I could get in a lot of trouble.
I pulled out my phone, and dialed Louis’ number. He answered right away.
“Hey babe!” He said cheerily.
“Louis, we have a problem.” I said.
“And what is that?” He asked.
“The picture, of you holding me in your lap while we were waiting for the ambulance last night is literally all over the internet.” I said.
“That’s not good.” Louis said, all happiness draining from his voice.
“What is our excuse going to be?” I asked.
“Well, we just ignore it. Just wait for it to be brought up. If we say anything, it looks like we are trying to hide something, and as far as everyone knows, we aren’t hiding a secret relationship.” Louis said.
“Okay, and when someone asks…you know it’s bound to happen.” I said.
“Then, I make myself look like a hero, and say that you were in so much pain, and I was just trying to help you, by letting you hold onto me. I was holding you, because you couldn’t walk, or move at all, and I didn’t want you anymore hurt than you already were.” Louis said.
“Well, that isn’t a complete lie, so it’s quite a believable story.” I said with a slight chuckle.
“Just don’t act nervous about anything, and we will be all set.” Louis said.
“Alright.” I said smiling to myself.
“Okay, goodnight love.” Louis said.
“Night.” I replied.
We both hung up the phone, and I hobbled over to my bed, slowly sliding in, careful not to put any pressure on the left side of my body.
I shut all the lights, and tried to get some sleep, but it was no use. Every time I would breathe in, a shooting pain would erupt in my side, and I wouldn’t be able to breathe.
I tried to suck it up, and just sleep, but I couldn’t ignore it. I slid back out of bed, and got myself some ice from the freezer. I laid on the couch, and put the ice on my side. I texted Lou, and asked her to come over since I was in a lot of pain. I couldn’t text Louis, because after recent events, it could make the situation much worse.
Lou came over straight away, and sat with me on the couch.
“Decided to call me this time.” Lou joked.
“You know I would’ve called Louis, but it would look weird.” I said.
“You’re blunt.” Lou said with a smile.
“Sorry.” I mumbled.
Lou grinned, and adjusted the ice on my side.
“I don’t think that’s normal. The surgery was supposed to fix the pain, not cause more.” Lou said.
“I know, and like it’s a totally different pain. It isn’t like an achy wound from surgery; it’s like a sharp pain.” I said.
“Is it constant?” Lou asked.
“No, it only come when I breathe in.” I said.
Lou nodded.
“I’m going to call the hospital, and see what they say.” Lou said.
I nodded, and tried to remain calm. Lou got up from the couch, and went to call the doctor. She was gone for a little bit, but returned with a solemn face.
“They said that this was an affect from the surgery, and it has to run its course. There is nothing you can do but take pain killers, and relax.” Lou said.
I nodded, and rolled my eyes. I had a low tolerance for pain, it got annoying really fast.
“Do you want me to tell Louis?” Lou asked.
“No, he’ll freak out, and he doesn’t need the added stress. Did you see the picture some paps got of us? It’s bad.” I said pulling up my twitter page.
Lou looked at the picture.
“That is bad.” She said.
I nodded, and sighed.
“What are you going to do?” She asked.
“Louis said to ignore it until someone bring it up, and then just deny all the bad possibilities.” I answered.
Lou nodded. We both sat quietly for a while.
“You can go now, go to sleep and all. I’ll be fine here I guess. Thanks for coming though.” I said.
“Any time, and if you need anything else tonight, you know where to find me.” Lou said.
“Thank you.” I replied.
She smiled, and then left my room. I curled up some more on the couch, and tried to fall asleep. Eventually, from being so tired, my eyes got heavy, and I drifted to sleep.
I woke up the next morning, and went straight to the shower. I cleaned myself up, and left my room on crutches. I felt so trapped, not being able to move, that I just wanted to walk around.
I walked out of my room, and made my way down the hall. I wanted to go get some breakfast, and just be outside.
I went to a Starbucks down the street and got myself a coffee. My phone started ringing, and it was Louis.
“Hey babe.” I said into the phone.
“Where are you?” Louis asked.
“Starbucks down the street, care to join me?” I asked.
“Yeah, I need to talk to you about a couple things anyway.” Louis said.
“Alright, see you when you get here.” I said.
“See you.” He replied.
We hung up the phone, and I got a table for us in the back. I didn’t know what he needed to talk to me about. I didn’t think I did anything wrong, so I tried not to freak myself out.
I waited a few minutes, and then I saw Louis come through the front door. He spotted me right away, and nodded. He got himself a coffee, and then came to join me at the table.
“Hi.” I said with a smile.
“Hey.” Louis replied, emotionless.
“Is something wrong?” I asked.
“A little.” Louis replied.
“Care to tell me?” I asked.
“I don’t like you keeping stuff from me.” Louis said.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“I don’t like that you are trying to spare my feelings and stuff.” Louis stated.
“Can you give me like an example?” I asked, extremely confused.
“You didn’t tell me about last night, and all the pain you were in. I want to be there for you, and I want to help you, but I can’t do that if you don’t let me in.” Louis said.
I nodded. I knew that keeping stuff from Louis was wrong, but I thought that I was protecting him.
“I’m sorry.” I said.
“I know you are.” Louis replied.
“I just didn’t want to like add to your stress level. I thought I was being helpful, but I guess not.” I stated.
“You don’t need to look out for me; I’m supposed to look out for you.” Louis stated.
“It’s a two way street Tomlinson.” I smiled.
Louis chuckled.
“I guess you can be right on this one.” Louis replied.
“I win, yay me!” I cheered.
Louis laughed, and grabbed my hand under the table.
“I am going to do everything I can to let us go public.” Louis said.
“Don’t force anything Louis, I don’t want anyone getting in trouble.” I said.
Louis nodded.
“I’m not going to do anything that would hurt us Macintosh. I love you too much, and I am not letting you go.” Louis said.
“Good, because I don’t want to be anywhere but here.” I replied.
Louis smiled.
“You are so cheesy.” He said.
“I’m a hopeless romantic, what are you going to do?” I laughed.
Louis shrugged his shoulders jokingly, and smiled.
“I love you.” He whispered.
“I love you more.” I whispered.
“Don’t argue with me.” Louis smiled.
“I can win it though.” I laughed.
Louis shook his head, and chuckled softly.
“Can we go back to the hotel?” I asked quietly.
“I was thinking the same thing.” Louis grinned.
I jumped up from the table, but quickly deflated, as a sharp pain ripped through my side, and took my breath away.
“Oh God.” I grunted, holding my side.
“Are you okay?” Louis said freaking out as he dropped to the floor with me.
“Yeah, just forgot about my side thing.” I said, trying to catch my breath.
“Can you breath, is everything okay?” Louis asked.
“Yeah, the pain was just a little surprising.” I said.
Louis nodded, and tried to help me up. I grabbed onto him, and he lifted me off the ground, and safely into his arms.
“Louis what are you doing?” I asked.
“There is no way in hell I am letting you walk. You need to go and lie in bed.” Louis said.
He grabbed my crutches, and began to walk out the door. Fans immediately swarmed him, screaming and asking for pictures.
“I really wish I could stop, but I really need to get Macintosh back to the hotel.” Louis said apologetically.
“Is she your girlfriend?” Someone screamed.
“No, we’re just very close friends, and I care for her a lot.” Louis said with a smile, as he kept walking.
“Will you ever be together?” The fan asked again.
“I can’t see the future.” Louis laughed.
“Do you like her?” The fan asked.
“Normally people like their friends.” Louis joked.
The fan laughed, and then gave up with questions. Louis had her mind to ease, and made everything look totally normal and natural.
“You are crazy Tomlinson, you know that?” I laughed.
“You do what you got to do.” Louis smiled.
We got back to the hotel, and Louis took me up to my room. Paul was standing in the hall talking with a few people, and his eyes immediately fell on Louis carrying me.
“What is going on?” He asked.
“Macintosh clearly has short term memory loss, and forgot that she had surgery like yesterday or whatever, and jumped up when we were getting some coffee, and now our little friend here cannot move.” Louis said.
Paul nodded.
“You need to be more careful.” He said to me.
“I’ve realized that.” I said.
Paul smirked, and Louis took me to my room. He brought me in, and laid me on the bed gently. I began sitting up slowly.
“Stop!” He shouted at me.
“What?” I asked.
“I don’t want you hurting yourself anymore, just lay down and don’t move.” Louis said.
“I just wanted to sit up.” I said.
“I know, but please don’t.” Louis said softly.
I nodded, and lowered myself back to a lying down position. I loved how protective Louis was over me.
He walked out of the bedroom, and came back a few minutes later with a candle. It was lit, and burning. He shut the lights off, and placed the candle on the bedside table. He then crawled onto the bed, and snuggled up to me.
He slid his fingers down my arm gently, causing goose bumps to jump up on my skin, and then slowly and gently tangled his fingers within my own. I let out a small breath, and Louis placed his soft, warm lips on my cheek, and kissed it lightly.
I turned my face towards his, and his lips attached to mine. He pulled gently on my bottom lip, and pulled my head closer to his.
“I really want you.” Louis whispered.
I nodded.
“Are you a…” Louis asked slowly.
I shook my head, and Louis nodded.
“Do you want to…like…?” Louis asked.
I nodded slowly, and Louis smiled.
“If anything ever hurts, or if you ever want to stop, just say so.” Louis said.
I nodded, and Louis slowly climbed on top of me. He hovered over me for a minute, before slowly lowering himself on top of me. He attached his lips to mine, and slipped his tongue in my mouth, bringing us into a heated kiss.
His hands roamed over my arms and face gently, and he just filled me up with love, and passion. He tongue flicked over mine, and I smiled against his lips.
He was so gentle with me, like as if I was made of glass. He touch was very delicate, yet very passionate. With every kiss, my heart raced, and my stomach flipped. Louis made me feel like no one had ever made me feel before.
His hands roamed along my stomach, and he grabbed at the bottom of my shirt, before slowly sliding it over my head, and leaving me in my bra. Louis’ eyes explored my body.
“You are so beautiful.” He whispered to me.
“Thank you.” I giggled.
Louis smiled, and placed his lips back on mine. He broke the kiss for another moment, to remove his own shirt.
He slowly slid out of his pants, and was left in his boxers.
“You’re not so shabby yourself Louis.” I smiled.
Louis grinned, and kissed my neck gently. Louis kept things very soft and gentle the entire time, and never got rough with me, or pushed things too far. Everything was very sweet, and full of love.
Louis slowly slipped me out of my pants, and I was now in only my bra and panties. He then reached up to the clasp of my bra, and looked at me for an okay signal.
I nodded at him, and his eyes sparkled. He didn’t move.
“Louis, I love you, and I want this.” I said to reassure him.
“I love you so much.” He whispered.
“Then prove it to me Louis.” I smiled.
Louis didn’t even need to think twice. He unclipped my bra, and tossed it to the floor. He again soaked in the image before him, and smiled to himself.
“How did I get so lucky?” He smiled.
“I ask myself the same question.” I grinned.
Louis pecked my lips, and slowly removed his boxers, exposing his fully erect penis.
“Your turn.” He smiled.
I grinned, as Louis removed my last bit of clothing. He kissed my lips, and down my neck and chest. He kissed all the way down my stomach, and traced his fingers gently over the scar from my surgery.
“I’m going to make all the pain go away.” He whispered.
I nodded. I believed every word he said. Everything about him was so honest and pure, and I loved him.
Louis smiled, and kissed my inner thighs gently, and moved up to my vagina.
“I don’t get to please you?” I asked sadly, my breath hitching in my throat, under Louis touch.
“Tonight is all about you, I want to take all your pain away.” Louis said.
I nodded, and smiled softly. Louis grinned, and returned to kissing my clit. He slowly slipped a finger in me, and I grabbed his hair tightly in my hands.
Louis smiled, and inserted another finger in me. He began to thrust his fingers in and out of me, and then pulled away completely, when he saw that I was near my peak.
I groaned from the loss of friction, and Louis smiled.
“I’m coming back.” He said.
I rolled my eyes.
“Will you hurry it up then?” I groaned.
Louis grabbed a condom, and slowly slid it on.
“I’m on the pill too.” I said.
Louis nodded, and positioned himself at my entrance.
“Now, since I am oh so large this may cause excruciating pain.” Louis laughed.
“I am not even joking, I will rip your dick of if you don’t get in me in five seconds.” I said.
“Someone is anxious.” Louis grinned.
“Now.” I said.
Louis took my word, and slipped himself into me.
“Ah Jesus Louis.” I hissed.
“So tight.” Louis grunted.
Louis picked up a rhythm, and thrusted in and out of me. The room was filled with heavy breathing, and a lot of moaning and grunting. I could hear our skin rubbing together, and Louis’ soft lips travelling my body.
Throughout the whole experience, Louis kept his touch light and his pace gentle. He didn’t rush anything, and took in each moment. Everything was special, and memorable.
“I’m close.” I said.
“Wait for me.” Louis replied.
I nodded, but didn’t know how much longer I could hold out. My toes were curling, and there was a burning in the pit of my stomach. Louis picked up his speed, and soon we were cumming together.
The room was filled with various strings of swears, and moans, and soon we calmed down from hitting our peaks.
Louis flopped on the bed next to me, and we climbed under the sheets.
“That was the best sex I have ever had.” Louis smiled.
I nodded, still trying to catch my breath.
Louis leaned over, and kissed my temple.
“I love you so much.” He whispered.
“I still love you more.” I said.
“I don’t think that’s possible.” Louis replied.
I smiled.
“We can love each other equally then.” I stated.
“That sounds good to me.” Louis replied.
I smiled, and snuggled my sweaty body onto his. He wrapped his arms around me protectively, and sang to me quietly until we both drifted off to sleep.
I pulled out my phone, and dialed Louis’ number. He answered right away.
