Chapter 10: I am I
Louis and I woke up in the midafternoon, and he greeted me with a smile.
“Hello gorgeous.” He said.
“Hi.” I giggled.
Louis grinned, and kissed my cheek gently.
“I’m going to take a shower, and then we can go do something.” I said.
“I need a shower too love.” Louis replied.
“Well let’s go then.” I said.
Louis took my hand, and we got ourselves cleaned up, trying to avoid a round two, but failing miserably.
We quickly dressed in our clothes from earlier, and headed out of the hotel. My side was feeling a bit better. It wasn’t as tight as it had been earlier.
We were walking around town, myself being on crutches, and Louis supporting my lower back with his hand, when a mob of fans appeared by us.
They were all screaming for Louis, and we had to stop walking, because the crowd had gotten so large.
“Guys, I’ll stop and sign stuff if you like, but we need to be careful of Macintosh yeah? She can barely stand, and I don’t want to see her getting any more hurt.” Louis said with a smile.
Some fans listened, but others just stayed rowdy. I tried to get myself out of the mob, but no one would move out of the way.
“Let her by please.” Louis said to a few of the fans.
They nodded after a little bit, and I escaped the crowd, leaving Louis behind. I went and found a bench across the street and Louis texted me to call Paul.
“Hello?” Paul said on the first ring.
“Hey, Louis and I went for a little walk, and there is a load of fans surrounding him now, he’s fine, but I think he needs a bit of help, so would you mind like coming to get us?” I said.
“Where are you?” Paul asked.
“Literally five feet from the hotel, like we are right outside, you’ll see the crowd the second you step foot outside the hotel.” I said.
Paul said he was on his way, and then we hung up. I sat on the bench, and watched the crowd grow. I was hoping Louis was okay, being in there all by himself.
Moments later, I saw a security team rush the crowd, and Louis was being viciously pulled out. I grabbed my crutches, and made my way across the street.
“Are you okay?” I asked Louis when I got over to him.
“Yeah, the girls weren’t even very vicious, but I just didn’t want to stand here for the next like fifteen hours getting my eardrums blown out.” Louis chuckled.
I smiled, and the security team walked with us around town. We headed to a few shops and things, and picked up small things to eat along the way. Harry was going to come and meet us for ice cream.
When we got to the ice cream shop, Harry was already inside, sitting at a table in the back. The security sat by the door, and Louis and I took a seat at the table with Harry.
Louis immediately took my hand under the table, and I smiled to myself slightly.
“Hey guys.” Harry said.
“Hi.” Louis and I replied.
“You got mobbed I hear?” Harry laughed.
“I don’t know how you do it Styles.” Louis said.
Harry laughed, and we picked up our menus.
“Everything looks so good.” I said, eyeing the menu.
“You sure she isn’t dating Niall?” Harry joked.
Louis laughed, and I giggled softly. I had always had a big appetite, even though I was a vegetarian.
We ordered our ice cream, and chatted a bit while eating. Louis and Harry seemed to be getting along a lot better, and I was glad that I hadn’t ruined their friendship.
“So Macintosh you have any hot friends back home?” Harry asked.
“I don’t have friends.” I stated.
“What do you mean?” Louis asked.
“I was on a long tour with Lady Gaga, from the time I was in college until a few weeks ago when I got hired for you guys. I never really had time for like a social life or anything.” I said.
“Wow, that’s pretty crazy.” Harry said.
“Yeah, I never really have any time for anything anymore.” I said with a shrug.
“Why did you get another job? Like didn’t you want to settle down for a bit?” Louis asked.
“I needed money, I don’t live at home anymore, and I need money for my bills and my car and food and stuff, so I need a job.” I said.
“Are you glad you got stuck with us?” Harry asked laughing.
“I am very glad to be stuck with you.” I laughed.
Louis smiled at me.
“I’m glad you got hired for us too.” Louis said.
I grinned at him.
I was extremely happy that the people I got hired for were One Direction. They were some of the sweetest boys in the world, and they were all so much fun to be around. I had always been around girls, working with Lady Gaga and stuff, so this was a pleasant change. Lady Gaga had some crazy make-up and costumes, and working with the boys, I didn’t really have much to do. I mostly just followed them around, and made sure they were picture perfect at all times.
If I hadn’t been hired to work with One Direction or Lady Gaga’s tour hadn’t ended, I never would have met the new love of my life, Louis Tomlinson.
He made me feel like no other guy had ever made me feel. He treated me with so much respect, and love. He was gentle with me when I was hurting, and I felt like I had known him my whole life. We had only been together for a week, and it seemed like a year.
It was crazy how fast I fell in love with him. Everything he said and did was amazing, and I wouldn’t change anything.
Louis protected me from fans, and his own management. He defended me to his friends, and made me feel like I was on top of the world.
We left the ice cream place after a little bit, and took a taxi back to the hotel. It was the boys last day off, and Niall wanted to have a movie night in his room. We were all going, so when we got back to the hotel, we all through on pajamas, and headed to Niall’s room.
He had ordered pizza, and there were a few boxes scattered throughout his room.
“We’re watching the paranormal movies.” Niall said excitedly as we walked through the door.
“You like scary?” Liam asked me.
“Yup.” I said with a smile.
I loved scary movies. I found them a bit funny to be honest.
“So you won’t need a shoulder to cry on?” Harry said with a smirk.
“I think I’ll manage on my own.” I laughed.
Louis smiled, and wrapped his arm around my waist.
“I don’t really plan on watching the movies.” He whispered in my ear.
I stifled a laugh, and Louis kissed my cheek. We walked to the couch, and joined all the boys. Louis sat on a single couch, and pulled me into his lap.
I laid my head back on his shoulder, and waited for the movie to begin. All the boys had their faces stuffed in popcorn, and Louis and I had our faces stuff together.
The second the lights went off, Louis attached his lips to mine, and begin kissing me. He rubbed his hands up and down my back, and tangled a hand in my hair.
His grazed his tongue over my bottom lip, asking for entrance, and I granted him freely. Our tongues battled for dominance, and he took over. He intertwined his hands with mine, and I rested my forehead on his head.
“I love you.” He mouthed to me in the darkness.
“I love you too.” I replied.
Louis smiled, and pecked my lips again. All the boys’ eyes were glued to the T.V., so Louis and I were safe to do whatever we wanted, as long as we kept it quiet.
We made out for a bit longer, before turning to the T.V. Louis pulled me close to him, and we fixated our eyes on the movie.
“I don’t know how people think this is scary.” Louis whispered.
“I know, it’s all effects.” I replied.
Louis nodded, and grabbed some popcorn from Harry.
“Hey, that’s mine.” Harry whispered.
“Mine now.” Louis said.
Harry pouted, and Louis patted his head.
“You’ll get over it curly.” He said.
Harry laughed, and I smiled.
We finished up the movie marathon, and then we all headed back to our rooms, because we had an early morning tomorrow.
Louis was coming with me to my room, when Paul stopped us.
“I’m not an idiot, and I know there is something going on here.” Paul said.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Louis replied.
“Your room is that way.” Paul said pointing down the hall.
“I was making sure Macintosh got here safely.” Louis said.
“I know you two are together, and it needs to stop. You are co-workers, and this isn’t okay.” Paul stated.
“We aren’t together.” Louis said.
“These walls are paper thin.” Paul said.
“What do you mean?” Louis said, growing slightly red in the face.
“I was in the hall this morning, I heard everything.” Paul said.
I was mortified. Paul had heard Louis and I having sex.
“This needs to end now.” Paul said.
Louis and I stood frozen. We didn’t know what to say, and there was no point in arguing with Paul. We had to end things.
I looked to Louis, whose eyes were misty.
“Goodnight.” I whispered, before slipping into my hotel room.
I didn’t wait for a response. I just closed the door behind me, and went to bed. I didn’t know how Louis and I could make things work.
“Hello gorgeous.” He said.
“Hi.” I giggled.
Louis grinned, and kissed my cheek gently.
