Rebecca is trembling on the ground and suddenly she feel my hands hands on her and she jumps. "Hey Hey, Becca it's just me." I say, Rebecca starts crying even harder "Ohmygod Derek! i'm so sorry! this wasn't supposed to happen oh my god your face it's so messed up." Rebecca hugs him tight crying even more blaming herself for this. "Shh becca, it's going to be ok.. everything it's going to be ok". I wipe her tears away and then she yells, "No it's not! even though he slapped me... he's always mad at me, this isn't the first time he has done this to me."I look at Rebecca in shock, "Becca, what do you mean?" I said, Rebecca then shows me the scars on her arms and legs. I couldn't believe that my best friend was going through this. "How long?" I said. "It's been like this for 5 months." she sighs. "five months?? why didn't you tell anyone about this?" I said. She sighs, "I was to scared to tell anyone i was scared that if i tell anyone he would hurt me." I shaked my head, "Becca, he won't hurt you anymore, i'll make sure of that
