The Girl That Moved to England

That Next Morning...

POV: Carmen

"But mom, why do we have to move today. Why couldn't it be on Wednesday like we planned?" I asked my mother disappointedly. " Because our house has been bought and we have to leave TODAY because the bank said so. Please Carmen, just go get the rest of your things so that we can leave!"my mother said defiantly. " Dad, don't you have a say in this?" I asked my father. "My hands are tied sweetheart. We must leave today. I am sorry." my dad says trying to make it sound sweet. "This isn't fair. I haven't said goodbye to all of my friends!"I yell at my parents. "Then you will just have to text them on our way to England. We do not have time for this. Like I said go get your things, NOW!" My mom says raising her voice at me. "Fine, but don't expect me to be happy about it!"

Pulling into the driveway of the new house...

"Whoa, it's huge mommy!"says my little sister Lindsey who has been excited ever since we got into the car. The longest trip of my life."RACE YOU TO THE DOOR!" my little brother Jonah yells towards my other little brother Lucas. Of course I have to butt in and race them and I win. Duh. While I was running I see someone in the driveway next-door. He looks like he is in high school. Phew. Someone my age. "Oh, Louis come here please." my mom asks the guy in the driveway. He starts walking over. "Carmen, I would like you to meet Louis. Louis, this is my daughter Carmen." My mom says introducing us. "Nice to meet you love. It looks like we are neighbors now."Louis tells me stating the obvious. "I guess so."I say pretending that I didn't notice.


POV: Louis

"Nice to meet you love. It looks like we are neighbors now" I say realizing that it was a pretty stupid statement. "I guess so" she says back. I think she noticed. "Mrs.Lindeen, would it be alright if I took Carmen for a tour and introduce her to some friends of mine."I asked trying to sound polite which I normally am not. "Of course Louis. That would be terrific." She's says back.

In the car...

"So, Carmen..." I say not knowing what to say. " Your new to this whole talking thing aren't you" she says back sarcastically. "NO, its just..um..well... yea maybe a little bit." I say trying to make her laugh. I mean you can't blame me for trying. She hasn't smiled once since I met her half an hour ago. Thankfully she laughs a little. "Who are the people you are introducing me to?" she asks. "They are my best mates. You will love them." "Great, I can't wait." she says. Great more sarcasm.

OK this one was a bit longer than my first one but I really wanted to introduce at least one One Direction member at least a little before the end of the chapter.
