*Sam's Pov*

Even in the darkness i could still see his face redden.

"No." he stated walking back up the drive toward his waiting range rover.

"what do you mean, no?" i demanded suddenly angry.

"you're not going. you're meeting derek for ice-cream tomorrow, remember?" he answered not even turning around to face me.

"no, i'm setting him up with lacy tomorrow."

"whatever," he huffed pulling away. i stalked back to my room.

*Harry's Pov*

The one chance i get to trick her into a date with me, and she goes and tries to set lacy up with it. All so she can go out with liam. i slammed my fist down on to the wheel. what the hell was wrong with her?

i desperately needed to think this all through. i drove to the bookshop ready to drown in the familiar silence not the hateful thoughts about my current competition. i unlocked the door slipping into the much needed darkness. i found my way to the last isle plopping myself down. i thought about everything. what i needed to do next, all the things i needed to prevent, and everything in between.

i heard a crash in the front of the store. i cursed myself for not locking the door back. i saw the intruder and without a second thought i punched him.

"ow, what the hell?" a familiar voice exclaimed.

"what the hell is right." i fumed.

"ges, a guy comes back home to visit his best friend and he punches him." my long time friend louis said.

"i thought you were an intruder."

"an intruder? in homes chapel, really?"

"oh shut up. how'd you know i was here?"

"when i arrived to your house your mom told me you hadn't come home yet. so i came here. and you know the fact that you doubted me stings more than your punch." he teased me.

i really wanted to punch him again for ruining the silence i had been enjoying, but i could really use some serious advice.
