Chapter Four: The Attack!
Starlin's POV
We fallowed the boys through the forest for hours.They didn't stop once and didn't talk at all.I could tell they were deep in thought most of the time & could see why.I mean, I have been here for 5 years and still get lost in thought about home and they just got here!
We fallowed them and made it obvious we were there, just in case they wanted some help.I didn't like it though, making myself obvious that is.I mean I am the Shadow of Time.Shadows are silent and full of danger and stuff, me stomping around the forest in plain sight of these boys was NOT my definition of silent and dangerous.
I noticed during all this that they have no survival skills, like literally ZERO! I can deal with some survival skills just fine but nothing, that was kinda hard.Nothing I can't handle right....wrong.These boys didn't even know the signs of an enemy being around, and that brings me to the attack.
They walked right into the middle of a Quens dinner party.A Quens is a giant black dog with blood red eyes.My least favorite thing in this world.They killed Jason, which eminently put them on my 'Kill On Sight No Matter What' list.Oh and the Quens were tearing apart what I guessed was a member of their pack that had ticked off the others. Eating there own kind didn't really seem to bother them that much, and eating some stupid unexpected boys that had just walked in on them for dessert didn't seem like a problem either.The boys froze when they saw what was going on and the Quens immediately got ready to pounce.It sure is a good thing I was there.
I immediately pulled out my swords and went running into the clearing.
"Get down you idiots." I yell at them and they obey right when one Quen jumps at them. I jump up and meet it in the middle of the air and quickly cut it's head clean off., well as clean as you can get with all the blood and stuff falling out of it.I dropped onto the ground and turned around just to be slammed onto the ground.My swords went flying and I felt my leg crush underneath the pressure of the Quens giant foot.
I growl in pain and look around for my swords.One was by the blonde guy, oh joy.I whistle as loud as I could and yell,"Hey blondie throw me my sword."
He looks at me startled and his eyes widen as he sees my situation.He quickly grabs my sword and throws it to me.It lands a little away from me.I look up at the Quen and am meet by a disgusting breath and teeth with resent of its resent meal in then inches from my face.I reach for my sword without looking away from the Quen. Once I grab it I flip it upside down to get a better grip and slice the Quens neck, showing myself with it's disgusting purple blood. It falls over and I quickly stand up leaning on a nearby tree.The other Quen had run off except one which had the black haired idiot that couldn't swim trapped.I try to get over there but yelp in pain and fall to the ground because of my leg.
I look up and am blinded by a flash of lightning that hit the Quen.'Well shit.' I think to myself.
