Another World Chapter One:
The Whirlpool.
Zayn's POV
I sit on my beach towel watching the others mess around in the water.Since we just ended our Take Me Home Tour, the boys and I decided to take a vacation. You know to relax and reward ourselves for all the hard work.And let me tell you it was hard work.
We barely got any sleep most of the time. We didn't get to see our family and friends very often. We had to deal with all the crazy fans, and the press.Oh the press were horrible, making up those unbelievable stories from just one lucky picture.
That was hard to deal with at times but we also know that it is just their jobs and they probably have family's to take care of. All that was bad but the worst of all was that none of us got to see our girlfriends very much.Yep that was definitely the worst.
The lads missed their girls so much and I understood why.I missed Perrie so much.Her smile could light up any room, she was alway positive and bright, she knew how to make anyone laugh.You can tell I miss her can't you?
The worst of all that was that I had just proposed to her, and she said yes.I mean don't get me wrong I am buzzing about it but isn't this the time we should be with each other.Not both in different countries one working and the other relaxing like nothing happened.It just doesn't feel right.
Something cold brought me out of my thoughts.I blink a little to snap out of it and see the lads looking at me from the water.I realize they splashed me with water.
We were on some island in in the Pacific Ocean.At the moment we are on a private beach.And since we are on an island that means we are surrounded by water, and water means swimming, and I can't swim.That is why the lads were in the water and I wasn't.
"What did you do that for?" I snap.
They hold their hands up defensively.
"Sorry mate you looked troubled and we are suppose to be having a good time." Louis said.
I sigh."I know......I just miss Perrie."
"It's okay man, we all miss our girls, and we will get to see them again.We are here to forget about the things that have been troubling us for a while.And let's all admit it sometime our girlfriends can be a bit troubling." Harry said and we all nod in agreement.
"It is hard to keep up a good relationship when you are both very busy all the time." Liam voiced all our thoughts.
"Not to mention all the media and fans." Niall added and again we all nod in agreement.
Suddenly Harry jumped.We all look at him questioningly.He is turning in circles looking for something.
"Harry what are you doing." Louis said throwing his arm around Harry's shoulders.Harry looked up at us.
"Something just moved under my feet." He said more than a little confused.
"It was probably just the sand moving under the weight or a fish or something." Liam said.
"Your right." He said but looked down at his feet again unsure. He looks up and smiles at us then he is gone.I don't mean gone like ' disappeared into thin air' gone. I mean ' he was dragged under the water by something' gone.
"Harry!" Louis shouts and before anyone can do anything dives under the water after him.A couple seconds later he pops up freaking out.
"There's a whirlpool." He shouts.
"What." We shout back.We were all freaking out.
"A whirlpool of sand at the bottom of the water.It's sucking Harry in." He shouts back. The other boys dive under to see and then come back up.
"He's right." Niall said in surprise.
Out of nowhere Louis was sucked under like Harry was.By this time I am up and already standing in the water.Not far enough where I can't touch the bottom but far enough I can see what's going on. After that Niall goes under.Liam looks up at me.I will never forget that look.His face full of surprise,anger, and fear, just before he is sucked under to.
I couldn't take it.Even though I couldn't swim I dive in after them.I would rather save them and most likely die than watch them disappear and live with the fact that I didn't do anything to help them. When I get under I see a ten foot round whirlpool of sand about 15 feet away.
I watch as the top of Niall's head disappears and Liam try's to dig himself out of the whirlpool that already had him half in.He then disappears and I try to go up for air.But I can't. Then I realize that I am beginning to move towards the whirlpool.Now I start to freak out.I quickly turn around and start to claw the sand.I didn't want to die.
I knew it was selfish but if you were in my position you would do the same.I was being sucked further in but I kept on trying.I couldn't breath.I needed air.I feel my feet being sucked into the swirl of sand and before I know it I am halfway in. Then it hit me.
The lads were gone.I was about to die the same way as them.No one was ever going to know what happened to us.They would probably spend the rest of their lives trying to find out where we went.Or family's would cry.Our friends would suffer.Our girlfriends would never see again.
Perrie........We would never get married.Never have kids.Never have the life we both wished we could have had. The sand started to cover my head.And I gave in to the darkness and it swallowed me whole.
