I suppose that you saw my picture by now, but trust me that I wasn’t this pretty when I was younger. Yes that’s true, I was the girl with dorky glasses, mouth filled with braces, and pimples that you could draw a map out of if you connected them together. But one day I decided to stop being careless about my physical appearance, and for that I started learning more about beauty care. I guess that my senior year at high school was the last day that I looked like a complete ugly duckling, because right after that I decided that a new life will be drawn with a change of beauty. I couldn’t believe that everything changed around me once I started taking care of how I look like; people that started to give me more attention, and specially the males. If only my mom was alive to see me now ... If you’re wondering what happened: My mom died once she gave birth to my baby sister, Cindy. My dad has been always raising us, and never did my sister or I feel like he was doing a bad job. He was the person that could be a mother and a father at the same time, you know what I mean right?
If you are wondering about my social/status, education level, and current position in life, then here is everything you need to know. My education thankfully has been blessed since I was a little girl, I chose to be a Lawyer; and my dad was super supportive. I guess I took my choice on that major, because he works as one himself; still I find it really satisfying to be able to fight for the innocents’ rights. I like being able to make people smile and feel that they are safe, at least that is why my dad is one of the strongest lawyers in Hollywood. My friends kept telling me that I should go and sign up for the Miss California pageant, since I didn’t start my university yet. I gave it a lot of thinking before I submitted my application; guess who won in the end? Hehe, yup thank God I brought back the crown!
As the rules state, I must now move to the next competition, which is Miss USA. I know that it is harder and much difficult, but I love challenging myself, and I believe that I have so much potential to win the crown. Oh I’m sorry did you ask if I have a boyfriend? No I don’t, and thank god I don’t, because the regulations state that all contestants must be under the Single status; I really didn’t know why, but I guess I am lucky I don’t have to break any hearts! Thankfully this year, the competition is based in La, so I didn’t need to have a long road trip at all. I was all packed at the moment, and dressed professionally to meet my competitors at the seminar (http://www.polyvore.com/poise_three_basics/set?id=94735216).
My Dad told me that I am allowed to take my car, he worries a lot about me that’s why I barely drove. I kissed his and my baby sister’s cheek as they wished me luck, and waved as I took off in my fantastic car (http://i2.wp.com/www.bmwblog.com/wp-content/uploads/206cc1.jpg). This is it! Wish me luck to whoever is reading. If I win this competition, I will be proving to myself that I am pretty; I guess I always felt insecure about my appearance since I grew up. My phone rang, and I directly answered while I kept my eye on the road.
*Phone Conversation*
Paul: “Kimberly where are you? I already reached to the hotel and I have my entire gadget with me.”
Me: “Paul! I just left, is the room spacious? Hehe.”
Paul: “Hurry up cupcake, we need to apply some last minute touch ups before you get down to the semi-...” (I cut him off and spoke)
Me: “Paul don’t worry, I have done my makeup like you instructed and wore something that says: I’m innocent, but I am a foxy lady! Hahahahah.”
Paul: “Hurry up Miss California!”
Me: “See you in a few sugar.”
*Phone Call Ended*
If you’re wondering who Paul is, then relax he is just my makeup artist and hair designer. Yes each contestant needs assistance, and I was lucky to meet Paul at the Miss California’s competition. He is really a good friend of mine, I could tell him anything, but still I am smart enough to keep my deep secrets buried to myself. GOD PLEASE BLESS MY JOURNEY THROUGH THIS PATH.
