The Bodyguard
Chapter 3
"What would you say if I wanted you to be my bodyguard?" He walked closer to me and I looked up into his eyes.
"Are you serious?" I wanted to scream and jump about but at the same time I wondered if he just pitied me.
"I wouldn't trust you with my life if I wasn't sure" He smiled at me. His smile made my insides melt and I felt like a teenager again. Technically I still am a teenager but that doesn't matter.
"Are you doing this out of pity?" I was saddened, what if he was?
"No. I trust you. I trust Paul. If he says you’re the best, then you’re the best" He smiled again and I couldn't help but smile back.
"Thanks Liam" I was internally screaming and wanted to kiss him but settled for a hug. I whispered thank you in his ear again as I inhaled his heavenly scent. Seen as im 5"10 and we were basically identical heights so he didn't have to bend down which he seemed thankful for. He chuckled slightly before we stopped hugging.
I saw the other boys in the corner tutting to themselves on Liam’s decision. My mood dropped slightly as I saw their disappointed and disproving expressions but I shook it off. In any other scenarios I would have made a sassy comment but I was going to be working with them to so I wanted to keep it friendly. They do say to keep your friends close and your enemy's closer after-all.
"I promise I won’t let any of you guys down" I smiled to the other boys and they actually smiled back. Meanwhile Harry was already back on the sofa staring at his phone again. I wonder what is so interesting that he can’t stay away from it.
Just as I was about to talk to Harry, the other bodyguards came in to be assigned to a member. They were bigger than I thought they would be, they must have been double my weight and size and I wasn't the most petite girl. At 5"10 I’m bigger than most people and I’m not skinny, not fat but curvy in all the right places. That's the way I like it.
I listened attentively as the boys got assigned their new personal bodyguards. To be honest the boys didn't seem to be fussed, they were just happy they didn't have me. Except Liam of course.
After all the bodyguards were introduced to the boys and to me they walked away. I saw a judging faces but it didn’t bother me. They didn't know me.
"So Boys" Paul got all our attentions and we all spun around to hear what he was going to say.
"I figured since you are going to be spending the most time with Flora, especially Liam and since she’s coming on tour with us that you should get to know her. Maybe take her to Nando's?
A chorus of 'Yeah' 'Great idea' and 'Let’s go' echoed around the room and suddenly all the boys jumped up and raced towards the door except Harry who was still tapping away at his phone. I might have to ask him about that later.
