Amelia's POV

Everything flashed before my eyes. I watched as the man fell to the ground. He made no sound. But my heart did. I could hear it beating. I watched him fall down. I watched him as he looked me in the eyes. I ran over to him and held him as he died in my arms. He took his last breath and closed his eyes. I put my head on his chest, I looked for his phone to call his wife... instead of finding a phone... I saw a picture of his two year old son... and him at a grave... his wife's.... I looked his cold body. A tear ran down my face.


"Amelia....."

"Harry... I... I deserve to die. Not him..."

I sat there as I looked at Harry. He said he was in love with me. Then I shot a man. Dead. I looked down at the gun in my hand. Should I shoot myself.... I looked back up at Harry as he was putting his shirt back on like nothing has happened. Okay....

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and counted down.

"4...."

"Amelia?"

"3..."

"Amelia??"

"2..."

"No!!!"

".....1."

Harry's POV

"AMELIA!!"

I ran over to her and shook her. She looked at me and started to cry into my arms.

"IM SORRY!! IM SO SORRY HARRY! I DONT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING THROUGH MY MIND." she cried

"Sh.. sh... It's okay. Look at me. Never. Kill your self. Never. You are beautiful, you are smart, you are important. People say people die everyday. But don't let people say that about you. I love you. That's what should make you keep living. We were having fun. Don't let this bother you. It was his fault for scaring you. Give me the gun" I said reaching towards her hand

She gave it to me easily. I stood her up and gave her clothes back to her. I walked over to a wall that was half broken. I hid the gun in there, I then walked over to the police officer and put his gun in his hand. O looked back at Amelia, she looked down in shame.

"Hey, plus side. We had sex" I said smiling at her

"That's not important right now" she said putting her head into my chest

"It is to me." I said rubbing her back

"Promise me one thing?"

"Anything."

"Never leave me"

I looked at her as she played with her fingers. How could I? I'm in love with her. She isn't perfect. Who is? Sure... she just killed a man. And I just killed one an hour ago. So we are even. I am forever yours. I grabbed her hand and kissed it.

"See that? (showing the ring on her hand) That means I never will"

She smiled and hugged me.

"Come on. Lets get out of here. Oh and Amelia. Never tell anyone about this. Promise?"


"Promise."

We started to go up the stairs and Amelia kept looking back. I put my arm around her and kissed the side of her head. We got outside, it looked about 7 at night. I took my lighter out and lit a cigarette.


"Want one?"

"Yes please" She took one


"Harry. Whats your favorite baked good?"

"Haha what. Why?"

"I'm just wondering."

"Um. Blueberry muffin with a strawberry on top."

"Ew. That sounds gross. Mines a chocolate cupcake with strawberry frosting."

We stayed there and smoked it to get the nerves out.

"Alright. Lets go."

I took her cigarette and through it behind us with mine. I grabbed her hand and looked at her.

"I love you Amelia"

"I love you too.... Hey Harry. If we ever do this again. Tell me ahead of time."

"Haha sure thing babe"

Zayn's POV

I can't believe that Heather lied about being single. God I feel really bad. I ruined a relationship. Not the first time I was caught cheating with someone else's girl. Wow that sounds like such a douche bag. I haven't thought of Amelia for the longest time. I should really stop getting involved with her... or Harry really will kill me. I wonder if he really has killed anyone before. I walked up the drive way and knocked on Liam's door.

"Hey man."

"What the fuck do you want."

"I wanted to tell you I'm sorry. I never knew you guys we're still together. She came to me two weeks ago crying saying you broke up with her. And can I say. What you said back there. Sweet. Pure justice."

"Yeah.... it was pretty cool. Felt good. Do you want to come in?"

Really? Was it really that easy? Damn. I took a step in and his house was so nice. We walked into the kitchen and everything was marble

"Beer?"

"No. I don't drink. Thanks"

"You really are a panzy."

"What...?"

"Your still a virgin and you don't drink!" He said laughing


"Yeah well. I want my first time with Amelia."

"Good. Hold onto her. She is a good girl."

"No. Not anymore."

"What. Do you want to talk about it? I'm here for you mate."

"No.... I shouldn't talk about her behind her back."

"You already have with Heather. Who hates her. Heather WILL tell everybody in school."

"No she won't. I trust her."

"Don't. Trust me."

Harry's POV

"Alright. Cuff them."

"What?? No! You have no proof!"

"Your feature's match your description."

"What descriptions?" Amelia asked

"We had a suspect saying what you looked like. A boy and a girl, both brown hair. One with curly short hair. And long brown hair."

"We were just walking on the side walk, holding hands going to a coffee shop."

"A coffee shop at 8 at night?"

"Yes? I planned on taking her to get coffee and talk about our plans. And then we go to a park and have fun and go crazy together. We are about to get married. And I just want to spend time with my soon to be wife" I said trying to cry

"Well. Right now. We have no proof on if you really did killed this man or not. We have to take you down for questions."

"NO!!! Take me! Not her!"

"Alright. If we take you. We have to put you in jail until we know if you did or did not kill this man."

"Yes sir..."

"No!! Harry! For how long?" Amelia said running over to the officer

"If he killed the man. And is proven to be true. It's a life time. If not. He is free."
"Wait for me Amelia! Go to Zayn's! He will keep you safe! Please!" I yelled getting put into the cruiser

"Harry!!! I love you!"

"And I love you!! Don't forget about me! I'll be back for our wedding!"



Zayn's POV

"Thanks man for listening. I have to get back."

I left Liam's house and got into my car. He is a really cool guy. I got back home and put on sweat pants. Fuck a shirt. I grabbed my cells phone and dialed Louis.

"Hey man, what are you doing?"

"In a fight with Brianna. Whats new?"

"Haha sorry mate."

"So listen. I want to get a little crazy tonight."

"Wow... what do you mean?"

"Lets smoke some weed."

"What.. you.. smoke weed? I don't know man."

"Fine. Don't it's whatever."

"Fine man what time should I come over?"

I looked out the window and saw a cruiser outside my house...

*ding dong*

Shit. I walked over to the door and opened it. My mouth dropped.

"Hi Zayn..."

"Lou... I'm going to have to call you back."

"Mr. Malik. Do you know Amelia Sterwood?"

"Yes sir. What is this about?"

"She was caught walking in the park going to a coffee shop and matched a description to someone who killed a man. Her husband got brought down for questions and is getting put in jail until further notice."

"Okay. And why are you here... sir?"

"Amelia told me. You were her guardian."

I looked at her. She had tears in her eyes... Don't get involved Zayn. Don't. Deny her. You are not her guardian... Your are not-

"Yes, I am."

The officer un cuffed Amelia

"You are free Ms. Sterwood. Have a nice night"

I shut the door behind him as he walked away. Amelia stood there and looked at the ground.
"I'm so glad your safe." I grabbed her in to a hug.

"Zayn. Im tired. Can I go to bed."

I took her hand and walked into my bed room. She walked right into the room and got under the covers. I took my shirt off and got in with her. I cuddled up to her and held her in my arms. I could feel her breathing. Maybe Harry going into jail is a good thing. Maybe me and Amelia can start over.


"Do you want to talk about it" I whispered into her ear

"Can you sleep on the couch tonight? I want to be alone."

She... doesn't... want... me to hold her...? Okay

"Alright. Just come in when you want to talk."


Amelia's POV

I laid in bed thinking to myself. I couldn't stop thinking about Harry. I cant believe he said I didn't do anything. He totally covered me.... I hope he doesn't tell them anything. Deny. Deny. Deny. That's what the movies taught me during a question thingy. I wish I could tell Zayn. I wish I could walk in there., cuddle into and tell him everything and he wouldn't hate me. Do you think he would hate me? I can't tell him though. I promised I wouldn't. It's like a kiss and tell. You should never tell who you kissed. Or bad things happen to you...

Zayn's POV

I got up and walked out. I sat on the couch and turned on the TV. Ugh, the news. Wait... Is that... Amelia's parents?



"Breaking news. A man shot today in a alley. Better known as Colban Briggs. The sister say's he was shot because an old foe saw him and shot him for old reasons. She does not know the name. But he was with a girl. ! hour later, the 'Sterwood Goods Bakery' was burnt down. Investigators found cigarettes in front of the place and concluded that the ashes lit up the place. Also they think it was the same person who killed the first man because, it was only 15 minutes down the street and they ran from the cops. Mr. Sterwood, This place is yours yes?"

"Yes. This place is my family's. It shut down 4 years ago and I was going to re-open it when I had enough money. But now. I cant"

"Tragic. This just in. Firemen found a dead body. Known as David Walker. A police officer here in town. He was shot in the head and found in the basement of the bakery."

I shut it off. Wow. Those people need to go to jail. Who could kill someone and then go to a bakery and kill a police officer? Wait. Harry and Amelia looked like the people? But they were going to a coffee shop? What idiots. Amelia would never do that. Harry. Maybe. But Amelia would of stopped them. They need to find these killers. Before they hurt everybody else.

"Woah. The people who did this... I hate them." I whispered to myself

"I killed him. Do you hate me Zayn."
