Chapter 1 - This Is My Passion
Ever since I was a little girl, I loved to sing. I would sing along to every song I knew. As I grew up, I would start listening to more music. I listen to music ranging from Taylor Swift to the Beatles. Coldplay, Chris Brown, Little Mix, and One Direction are some of my favorite artist. When I was 10, I would've never seen myself as a Directioner. They light up my world like nobody else. I wouldn't be standing where I am without them. When I was 13, is when it all started. Everyday it seemed harder and harder to not sing to every song that played. Some people didn't like my singing, but there are always going to be a few people that don't. I didn't join the school choir or anything. No singing lessons and no preferences. A few people say I sing like Rihanna. But most people that hear me sing say I have my own style, and they like that about my voice. Every morning when I wake up, I see the poster of One Direction hanging on my ceiling. I am reminded of their story on how they each went on the xfactor as solo artist and came out as a group. “They had a fan base of hundreds of girls after their first preference. These kind of things don't happen in real life. At that point, I knew they were going beyond the xfactor stage.” Simon Cowel says. Each day is a new beginning and brings a new adventure. My alarm goes off reminding me of the day ahead. Hopefully today, everything will change. I will escape the real world and all the people and do what I love most, right behind soccer of course. Unless I take a shower, my hair cannot be manged. I turn on the shower and jump in quickly. The warming water slides down my body giving me goosebumps. I grab my shampoo and message it through my hair. The soapy water runs down my head getting into my eyes. The soap stings and I splash water onto my face. I finally get the soap out and start to put in the conditioner. After my shower, I step out of the shower and dry myself off. I put in a leave in conditioner and brush out my hair so my hair will get a natural curl. I brush my teeth and put on my retainer. I wash my hands clean so I can put in my contacts. I get my make up on and than all that's left is to get dressed. I get dresses in light blue denim short shorts, a teal shirt where it's longer in than back than it is in the front, and my light brown boots. I walk to my dresser and pull out a necklace that has a cross on it. In really tiny letters on the back of the cross says “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Phil 4:13.” I put it on and grab my bags. As I leave the room, I turn around. “Next time I come back, things might be different.” I whisper to myself. I walk down the hall and to the family room where my family is waiting for me. We put our bags in the car and than drive to the airport. We arrive at the airport and give our bags to the people who put them on a plane. My dad, sister, brother, mom, and I start walking to the waiting area. “Flight 117.” the intercom speaks out. I let my family walk in front of me onto the plane but my mom stays behind me. As I take the first step onto the boarding walk my mom says, “Things will be different from now on.”
