Cate and I walk through the door into the house. I motion to her to slam the door and she does. the house rattles. "You little Bitches!" my father screams from his room. he walks into the front room and slaps me across the face. I don't flinch. apparently it bothers him that it didn't pain me because he grabs a metal rod and sticks in into the fire place. He looks at me laughing, he expects to see fear, pain, anything on my face, but he doesn't. Not anymore. He takes the rod out of the fire place and smacks the hot end across my face. I fall onto the floor from the impact, but I have no other reaction. He reheats the pole. I motion for Cate to run upstairs and lock the door, I know she's older than me, but I feel a strange protectiveness over her. She refuses to move. UGH! we are a lot alike, both very stubborn. After he pulls the stick back out of the fire, He goes to strike Cate with it, but I hate seeing my sister beaten, so I Jump in front of the rods end in time for it to make impact with my face instead of Cates. "Okay you Little slut. You want to be beaten, You." he points to cate. "Go upstairs." Cate stays. "NOW!!!" she looks at me and I give her a slight nod. Cate hates being beat. everyone does, she doesn't think that we should just sit and take it. we shouldn't but as long as we cooperate we might have a chance of getting out of here soon. Cate's upstairs and I sit downstairs letting our father hit me over and over with a burning metal rod. When he finally realized he wasn't going to get a reaction out of me, he let me go upstairs. I run up there slam the door and punch a hole in the wall. I then knock off the first thing I see which was a vase. "Cate, he's starting to go to far." I say suddenly a bit of fear comes into me... what if he goes to far? I get up and punch another hole in the wall. "First chance we have out of here, I'm leaving." I say. "me too." Cate agrees.
