"Fancy seeing you here." she said, a smirk plastered on her lips.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, my breath shaky. She was still holding onto my hair. Lucky they're aren't extensions, otherwise, they would've ripped off.
"I just want to have some fun. It's funny, seeing you here." she said, smiling. There's nothing happy here. Oh, well, maybe to her, its pulling my hair - torturing me. She let go of my hair, but yanked it down a bit before she did.
I turned to her, we were just staring. Before I could process what was happening, my head was turned at a sudden speed which made my head spin. I held my cheek, and rubbed it because it had stung. She then grabbed my shoulder, and kneed my in the stomach, her friends laughing at the sight of me. I fell on my knees, then onto my left side. She kicked my stomach once more before leaving with her girls. I had tears threatening to fall.
Where was Niall?
I tried to get up, but my stomach muscles were too weak to lift myself up. I saw someone kneel beside me, someone that I didn't know. I couldn't really see them because my tears were welled up in my eyes, waiting to fall. "It's okay, I've got you now." the figure said. "Give me your hand." I did as I was instructed, holding out my right hand to him. He took it, and lifted me up carefully. The pain was still present in my stomach. The tears fell, one at a time, but I didn't make a sound. The guy saw that I was crying, so he wiped my tears away using his hoodie sleeve. I looked up at him, and he was someone I didn't recognize. I whispered a 'Thanks' and he smiled. He had brown hair, pushed up to the side, and nice blue eyes.
"Louis." he said, holding out his hand for me to shake.
"Rosie." I said quietly, shaking his hand.
"Would you like to take a walk?" he asked. I nodded my head and walked around with him, looking at the different stalls. I was thankful that the girls didn't take my bag.
"How are you feeling?" Louis asked, as he was looking an eski for a drink to buy. He pulled out two bottles of water and paid for them.
"The pain is still there, and the pain in my cheek has kinda left." I said. He handed me a bottle of water and I thanked him quietly.
"Do you know those girls?" he asked. I looked to the ground and said, "Yeah, my bully's to be exact." he seemed shocked about this.
"Why are they bullying such a beautiful girl like you?" I blushed at his compliment, but didn't really know what to answer.
"I'm the nerd in school."
He didn't say anything after that, and I was glad. We walked around the carnival watching some people on the different rides that were there and talking about stuff. It turns out that he was going to college just around here.
After around 20 minutes of walking around and talking, I was starting to get a bit hungry. I walked over to the pluto puff (or corndog) stand, with a fat man in a singlet with a huge oil stain at the front.
"Hello miss! You're my first customer, what can I get you?" he said in a cheerful voice.
"Would you like one?" I asked Louis. He shook his head no, so I turned my attention back to the fat man. "Just one pluto puff, please?" I asked. He nodded, and hummed cheerfully to himself. He pulled out one of the pluto puffs from his container and handed it to me. "That would be $1, thanks!"
I pulled out a dollar and gave it to him. Sad he only made a dollar from when the carnival opened. We walked away as I quietly ate my pluto puff.
As we walked some more, I saw Louis turn around. I turned around to see what got his attention but saw the person who ditched me. Niall.
"What are you doing here, walking around with my girl?" Niall asked, angrily. It looked like he was trying to hold in his anger, as to Louis, looked as calm as a koala.
"Nothing, she got hurt, so I helped her and just showed her around. Sorry, I didn't know she even had a boyfriend." Louis said simply. I looked over at Niall, and he was holding the giant teddy bear that he wanted to buy me earlier tonight. Did he just buy me that? I looked up to his face, and he was just staring at Louis intensely. Louis broke the awkward staring by walking little bit by little bit slowly, holding his hands up in defence. I was still holding my pluto puff in my hand. To me, it looked like I was the little kid and my parents were fighting.
"So, I'll see you around, Rosie." he said, smiling before he walked away,
I turned back at Niall who was still staring after him. He held the teddy bear tighter, looking like it's head was about to fall off. He then looked at me, anger filled his eyes. He forcefully grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the exit, making me drop my only food.
"Hey, you owe my a new pluto puff!" I yelled after him. I didn't seem to listen. He just held my wrist tightly as we walked to his car. He opened the door, waiting for me to get it. As I did, he pushed me in slightly, making me stumble. He closed the door and walked over to the driver's seat.
He started the car and drove out of the parking lot and onto the main road.
