My bully's boyfriend
Hey there.
Being bullied is the worst feeling. People calling you names for no actual reason. People throwing things at you, shouting things across the room at you, putting you down. Yeah, that's what happens to me. Every single day since I started high school. In the classrooms, in the corridors, at the canteen...even in the bathrooms. People would just knock me down. But I still get up. I dust my pants off and try not to let those hurtful things get to me.
My name? It's Rosie Targo. I'm in high school. I'm also the nerd in school. I wear glasses of course, and my grades are high. I'm not the type who dresses up like one, with the hand-me-downs. I love fashion and I keep my clothes at a standard rate. Like a normal pair of skinny jeans and tank top, with a hoodie and a pair of sneakers. Thats my type. Nothing too geeky and definitely nothing too revealing. My body shape...I'm not skinny. I have a curvy figure. Nothing like Kim Kardashian or Beyonce's body. But something like Jesy Nelson's. Yeah, I like Little Mix. They are very pretty girls. My hair is midnight black and I have medium brown eyes. Sometimes I wished I looked different, but my aunt says I look beautiful the way I am.
My parents died in a plane crash 3 years ago. They were on their way home when one of the engines blew and the pilots had lost control. Hearing the news was heartaching. They died before my 15th birthday. I live with my aunt now. She's always been there for me and I love her for that.
"Sweetie, wake up. You gotta get ready for school." I heard my aunt's voice tell me. I could see the sunlight through my closed eyelids, knowing my aunt, she probably had drawn the curtains so that the light would wake me up a bit quicker. "Hun, you gotta get ready for school." she told me again. I dreaded going to school. I didn't talk about the bullying I go through to her. I normally told my friend, Marcel. Like my aunt, he's always there for me. "And Marcel's here too. Get ready, or you'll be late." she said the last bit sternly, before I heard the door of my bedroom close. I get up, walking to my small bathroom I have. I look in the mirror to see that my hair is the exact meaning of a bird's nest. Messy. I turn on the shower, and strip down from the clothes I slept in. I step into the warm running water, feeling completely relaxed. I grabbed my shampoo and squeezed a bit out and putting it through my hair. After I repeated my step with the conditioner and had washed my body thoroughly, I turned off the shower and stepped out with a towel wrapped around my body. I walked over to my drawers and picked out a black lace bra and matching panties. What? I like black undergarments. Especially lace. Okay, this is probably not the nerd you were thinking about and I'm sorry. I love fashion.
After I pulled on a pair of black jeans, a plain white shirt and a maroon hoodie, I checked the time; 8:30. I only had half-an-hour to get to school. I quickly pulled on my pair of Dr. Martens black boots and grabbed my bag before stepping out into the hallway and down the stairs.
"And there she is!" I heard Marcel yell across the table. I laughed at him as he took a bite out of his apple. "C'mon, we've only got.." he said looking at his watch and munching on the piece of apple he had just bitten "...26 minutes left to get to school." he finished his sentence, grabbing his bag that was next to him on the chair.
"Okay. Bye Aunt Louise!" Marcel and I yelled before we left. We walked down the street towards the school with our bag straps on both shoulders. People these days have it on one shoulder.
We walked for a few minutes before we reached the street of the school. "So..." Marcel started, "What are you going to do today?" he said as we turned into the school grounds, teenagers throwing the football around or laughing at what they usually tell others.
I thought about what to say next, when the biggest bitch in school Hayley, walked up to us. "Well, look who's finally here!" she said eyeing us, back and forth from Marcel to me. I saw Niall behind her. His had blonde hair was up in a quiff. What? I know about hairstyles too. He had a smirk on his face when my eyes landed on him. I quickly looked somewhere else before Hayley even noticed. "So, what are we going to do today?" she said as she punched me right in the stomach. I bent down, clutching it as I was in pain. Marcel had his arms around me, seeing if I was okay. Obviously I wasn't, but I told him I would get over it. "See you later, bitch!" she shouted as she and her posse followed her. I was sick to my stomach after being punch by that motherfucking whore! I straightened up and walked it off, pretended that nothing happened. I walked into the corridors with Marcel by my side as I heard those hurtful words yet again.
"Slut."
"Fat ass."
"Look at her."
"She should go kill herself already."
"Ugly."
I looked down, watching every step I took as I walk towards my locker. Lucky for me today, Hayley already gave me her morning greeting. I got up to my locker and opened it with the combination. I stuffed my bag in there and grabbed my gym clothes, since that was the first subject we had. An hour of gym with Hayley and her posse is like a hell made just for me. I hate this. Without knowing, there was a tear sliding down my cheek. I lifted up my hand to wipe away the tear, but Marcel beat me to it. "It will be okay. They'll eventually stop." he said reassuringly.
"How? When? They won't stop until I'm gone!" I yelled, hugging his torso. He hugged me back, rubbing small circles on my back, comforting me. He replied, "Shh, it's alright."
A few minutes of hugging, I finally calmed down and let go of Marcel. "Thanks, Marcel. I don't know what I'd do without you." I said, wiping the tears that were left on my cheek. He nodded, giving me a light kiss on the cheek. I blushed and looked away. I smiled as I closed my locker and motioned for Marcel to follow me to gym class.

"Okay, I want you all changed and ready to go before we all start a game of volleyball." Coach Smith said to the whole class. Marcel and I parted our ways to our change rooms. I was nervous at what the girls were going to say about me in there.
"Hey look, its Miss Fatty Nerd here!" Hayley laughed as she whipped the back of my leg using her gym shirt. I yelped at the contact of her shirt and the girls started laughing. I was pretty sure it would leave a mark there by tomorrow. I quickly changed and walked out of the change rooms.
I saw Marcel sitting down on one of the benches, so I walked over to him and sat beside him. He looked up at me and smiled. "How are you feeling?" he asked as I sat down.
"I'm alright I guess. Got whipped by Hayley again. I told you, she won't stop." I said, sighing at the end. Coach was setting up the volleyball nets with some of the other students. "How were you in there?"
"It was alright. There talking about the football tryouts." he was thinking about something. He had his thinking face one.
"What are you thinking about?" I asked as everyone else came out of the change rooms making all the noise in the world.
"Should I go for it?" he asked. I thought about it and said, "Well, its been your dream to make it as a football star, isn't it?"
"Yeah. I'll think about it." he said before Coach Smith yelled at us for not standing up and helping the team. I followed Marcel into the team who were the nearest but the coach yelled again, saying that we had to be separated.
I walked over to the other team as they just stared at me, giving me their diriest looks. Why am I always being bullied? Why me? Sometimes, I think that this is supposed to happen to me. How I'm made out to be.
Jane, one of Hayley's companions, served the ball, and once it was over the net, it hit me square and fair in the face. I fell back and groaned at the pain that was present at my nose. I open my eyes to see everyone laughing at me. I sat up, to be greeted with blood running down my hands. "Get up, Targo! Go to the bathroom and don't get blood on my floors!" Coach Smith yelled. I stood up and ran. Everyone was laughing and were saying things as I left, but I tried to ignore them as tears started to fall.
I grabbed a few paper towels and put it to my nose. I had more tears slipping down my cheeks, but I couldn't be bothered wiping them away. The blood had stopped, so I decided to wash my face.
I stayed in here for a little while longer before Coach then yelled again at me for being in here too long. I walked out and saw that the gym was empty. "Everyone's in the changing rooms. Go get changed and head to your next class." he said while looking at his clipboard
I went to the changeroom and got back into my clothes as quick as possible. I walked out, not noticed by Hayley for once. I ran out of Gym and tried to get to my next class, Math, when I bumped into someone. Hayley's boyfriend.
"Well, well, well...Look who's running late? It's Miss Nerd here!" said Niall, the 'famous' football jock in the school and the biggest frat, pulling my arm towards him.
"Let me go, you jerk!" I yelled, pulling out of his grip and walking faster towards the math room I was assigned to. He caught up to me and pinned me against the wall, his breathing heavy.
"What. Did.You. Say?" he said through gritted teeth. He had his hand at the bottom of my throat, holding there quite tight. The second bell rang, signalling that we all had to be in class already. I was late. The smell of alcohol lingered in his breath as he continued to breathe heavily.
"Hey, yo Horan!" a guy down the hall yelled. "C'mon, Coach is gonna kill us! We're late." he yelled again. He left a small, tiny, minute kiss on my jawline. Wait, what? He smirked before whispering, "See ya later, princess." in my ear. He let go of my throat and jogged to where his friend was.
I stood there, shocked. Why did he...first: get angry with me, second: leave a kiss on my jawline and third: call me princess? He should be calling Hayley 'princess'. Well, he certainly doesn't treat her like one since he's always playing with other girls hearts. I knew the first answer to the first question. I called him a jerk. But, I was stuck with the second and third questions.
I made my way to my math class. People were staring at me. I heard gasps and people asking the same question, "Why is she late, she's the nerd, she should be here before any of us." and stuff like that. I ignored those questions and remarks as I sat down, the teacher glaring at me. After she finished explaining, which I already knew, she came up to my desk. I pushed my glasses up to the bridge of my nose and looked up to her.
"First time, Rosie. What happened?" she said in a soft tone. I told her I had a stomach bug and that I had been in the toilet, vomiting up what was left in my stomach. She accepted my reason and told me to just read ahead since I already did the questions.
The school bell rang, signalling it was time for lunch. I packed up my books and headed out the door, with spitballs being spat at me. DIsgusting. I walked into the cafeteria and walked up to Marcel. He was sitting by himself, with his paper bag that contained his lunch.
"Hey there." I said, cheerfully.
