Chapter 5
*Annas POV*
When I came out of the kitchen with some sandwiches Niall looked at me strangely. I sat the sandwiches down on the table and in some seconds he had already eaten one and had another one in his hands.
“Easy, dude, we want some too” I said and he chuckled.
After we’d eaten all the sandwiches he wanted to play karaoke. I really didn’t want to. I knew I could sing but I hated coming off like a douche, so I always said that I didn’t sing. But Niall insisted on it. He wanted to sing a duet with me and he chose ‘Lucky’ by Jason Mraz and Cobie Callait. It was one of my favourite songs and I knew it by heart.
Even though I really didn’t want to sing in front of people I didn’t like I had fun singing with Niall and Cat. Cat really wasn’t a good singer but Niall was. When I told him he just shrugged. Maybe he was like me.
It was late when we stopped singing and because it was already dark outside Niall said, he’d bring me home. I told him he didn’t need to but he insisted on it. It was cold outside and I definitely wasn’t dressed right for the weather. Niall, nice as he is, gave me his jacket so that I didn’t have to be cold.
“You have a really good voice, you know that?” he asked me. The question made me feel uncomfortable. I blushed and said “Thank you. But it isn’t that great.”
“No, I really mean it. You’re amazing” he said again. “Ever thought about going to a casting show?”
“No, I would never do that. I don’t think I’m good enough for that. Plus I get really nervous.”
“I think you could go, you are that good.”
“Maybe I would go, if I wasn’t the only one I know, that auditions” I said, hoping he would get what I meant.
“I’d go if you go” he said and smiled a big smile.
“You would do that for me?” I asked surprised. I didn’t think he would do that.
“Yeah, why not? I mean I’m not that good either, but we could give it a shot.”
We arrived my house, so I said goodbye and went in. I thought about auditioning. But I really didn’t think I was good enough.
“Where were you?” my mom asked.
“I was at Cats house” I said and went upstairs. I was really tired so I changed (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=97935200&.locale=de) and went to bed, listening to my favourite band Tonight Alive.
