Mysterious

Sarah's POV:

"Sarah! Sarah!" I heard my mom calling. Ugh, it must be time for school. As usually I ignored her first calls. It could take her up to a half hour to get me up.

Suddenly her calls became more frantic. She sounded terrified. "SARAH!!" She screamed, and my eyes shot open. I wasnt in my bed. I was in the woods behind my house.

Where was my mom. "Mom!" I yelled, but there was no reply. "Mom!! Please mom!" I called, running fast. How was I able to go so fast? I spotted her, with Harry.

Harry was fully transformed, and had her cornered. "Harry. Harry no!!" I yelled, but he attacked her. My mom was dead. I started screaming.

"SARAH SARAH WAKE UP!!" Yelled a different voice, and I snapped awake. I wasnt in the woods. I wasnt home. I wasnt human. This wasnt my mom.

It was Xavier. I shot up, sitting straight. I wasnt in the hostpital anymore. "Where am I," I screamed. "Relax, your at my house. You're safe." He replied, sitting across from the couch I was on.

But I wasnt safe. Those gang members could be anywhere. This could be another test. I curled up in a ball , and frantically looked around the room. We were in an apartment....in the city?

That's what it sounded like with all the car noises outside. This had to be a test. "It's not a test." He told me, standing up. Oh so he can read minds too. Great.

"And Im supposed to trust you?" I asked. "Well I saved your life so yeah." He replied. "Saved it? You almost had me killed! Remember that?" I snapped back.

"I made a mistake taking you to them. I won't do that again. I saved you from Harrys gang." He told me. Oh. Oh really. "Saved me? I was perfectly happy." I stated smugly.

"Is that why you kept running away? Doesnt seem like you were so happy then does it." He asked, sounding very cocky. "They love me! They're the only family Ive got!" I told him.

"They're the only family you have because they took you away from your real family. You were the only protection your family had. You know what happened to you mom and the man of hers? They're dead now." He spat at me.

"Oh Im sure." I replied rolling my eyes. Suddenly he tossed a newspaper at me. "And as for them loving you. How do you know they aren't just using you? Would they love you if you didnt have the powers you have? They're the ones who killed your family." He continued.

I looked at the paper. I saw a story titled "Home attacked, Two killed." I saw pictures of my mom and her boyfriend from before I had left. It was the 3 of us sitting in a wagon.

The article mentioned that I had disappeared. Then it talked about their deaths. They were found lying dead in the house. All the blood drained from their bodies. My moms neck broken.

"I heard the screams and came running. I saw what appeared to be a tall curly haired man, and a shorter blonde man dart into the forest." My neighbor had been quoted saying.
