Falling for Harry Styles

Chapter 52

“All I’m saying is he can stand to be a little less invasive,” Harry said as he threw his hands up in mock surrender. We were on our way to the club and talking about my therapy session the day prior.
“He’s a therapist Haz, it’s his job. And I don’t really mind; it’s nice to share the memories,” I smiled up at him.
He huffed out a laugh and rolled his eyes teasingly, “Alright.”
Our hands laced together as we continued on silently. I glanced sideways at his plump, pink lips that curved into a smile when he caught me looking. I smiled back as I blushed and averted my eyes. My mind was overrun with thoughts of those very lips. The way they felt pressed against mine; how they moved when he spoke; the way he used them to caress my skin. With thoughts like those all I wanted to do was kiss him. So I pulled him off the sidewalk towards a building.
“What’re you unf,” he grunted as I pushed him against a wall.
He smirked as I rose up on my tiptoes to crush his lips with mine. They molded together as he held my waist and I wove a hand into his hair. It was a sweet kiss that didn’t get too messy or last much longer than a minute.
“You know if you wanted to kiss me, all you had to do was ask?” he raised an eyebrow at me with a content smile.
I hummed in response, “But I think I like pushing you around a bit better.” I winked at him as I pulled him along behind me.
We made the rest of the short walk in silence. I thanked him with a kiss as he held the door open for me and we were hit with the loud music emanating from the packed club. I led the way inside and to the table we always sat at noticing the empty spots. “Where are Zayn and Perrie?”
“Dancing,” Niall replied as we stopped beside the table. He started to make his way out before we could slide in. “I’m gonna go get some drinks; you wanna come with me?” he sounded almost pleading.
“Sure,” I shrugged turning to Harry. “I’m going to go with Niall to get some drinks.” He nodded in response taking a seat. “Do you want anything?” I bent to ask.
“No I’m alright for now; maybe a little later.” I nodded and gave him a chaste kiss on the lips and turned to hurry after Niall.
“You want anything?” he asked sweetly as we stopped beside the bar.
“Virgin Shirley Temple, please.” His brows furrowed in question. “I’ve learned that not every get together needs liquor to be good.” He huffed out a chuckle before calling the bartender over and ordering. “And plus the events that take place when you’re inebriated can be… terrible.”
He gave a sympathetic smile which I accepted and responded with a light one. We were silent for a few moments before our drinks were placed in front of us and he grasped onto his and started to tap at the glass lightly. “So… uh…” he started hesitantly. “I kinda need some advice.”
My mouth dropped open slightly and my brows knit together in a baffled expression. “And you’re asking me?”
“Well yeah; it’s girl advice and I figured… you’re a girl and my friend and you could help me get a girlfriend.” He shrugged with a ‘why not?’ expression on his face.
I snickered, “I guess that makes sense.”
“And I’m tired of being single. It was fun for a while, but now you and Harry have each other and Liam is seeing Sophia. It’s kinda tough, but I don’t really know how to approach a girl without being too douchebag-y and scaring her off in the first few minutes.”
“Well, just don’t make it seem like you only want to get in her pants. Don’t approach her with some vulgar comment on the way she’s dressed or how hot you think her body is. That doesn’t really work with too many girls. Start off with a friendly greeting, ask for her name, tell her yours, and compliment her on something that can’t be taken sexually. Like tell her she smells nice or she has really pretty eyes. Just be sweet and charming.”
He nodded like he understood, “I think I can do that. I’m going to try it out on her,” he pointed with a wide childish smile.
I chuckled at his eagerness and picked up my drink. “I’m going to go back to the table then. Good luck.”
“Thanks.” He nodded and disappeared.
I hopped off the barstool, heading back to the table and sliding in next to Harry. I noticed Zayn and Perrie had reappeared and I nodded a greeting at them both which was reciprocated.
“Where’s Niall?” I felt warm breath against my ear and a hand on my thigh.
“Trying to chat up some girl at the bar.” He grunted in acknowledgement and fiddled with a fray on my jeans.
“So Natalie?” Louis drawled out on the other side of the table, which drew my attention to him and off of my very visually appealing boyfriend. I hummed in response as my eyebrows rose. “We all took a vote and decided that-”
“If it’s alright with you of course,” Eleanor interjected with a smile.
“Yeah of course,” Louis retorted with a shrug and a playful eye roll. “Anyway, we decided that we need to get together and have a big dinner before we go on tour. So we can enjoy some of your delicious food before we’re confined to fast food and cereal for eight months.”
I received hopeful stares from five sets of eyes and a disinterested looking Harry. I nudged him with my elbow, “What do you think?”
He pouted his lips and shrugged, “Seems like a fair idea to me. I get to enjoy your cooking all the time, they don’t.”
I sighed and rolled my eyes dramatically trying to act annoyed. That quickly faltered as I smiled and nodded, “Of course. It sounds like a lovely idea.” They all cheered as Niall came and plopped next to me. It might have just been me, but he looked almost defeated. “No dice?” I asked concerned, ready to console and comfort.
“I got her number. She wants me to call her,” he wore a satisfied smile as the boy cheered.
“Good.”
“You’re in for more good news Niall,” Liam spoke up. “Natalie is cooking for us again.”
Niall’s eyes grew bigger than I had ever seen them as his smile grew as well and he squeezed me in a hug. I chuckled as everyone else laughed at Niall’s dramatics. “When, when, when?” he chanted as he released me from his iron hold.
I shrugged as Louis cleared his throat. “Well uh, ya know we do have enough time before tour starts…. We could do it twice, just a suggestion,” he shrugged nonchalantly.
“Loueh!” Zayn scolded, “Don’t push it!”
I laughed, “That actually sounds like a good idea Lou.”
They all turned to face me with wide, disbelieving eyes. “It does?”
I nodded, “Yeah.” I made a face that resembled ‘why wouldn’t it?’ at the stares I received. “So does next week work for everyone? Say Thursday?” I received eager nods and a squeal from Eleanor. “Great!” I was a little wary of their hesitant excitement.
The strange reactions from my friends about me agreeing to the two dinners wasn’t far from my mind as the night drew on. I pondered over it to myself as we talked and had a great time in each other’s company. The thoughts still didn’t leave my mind as I curled up next to Harry and dosed off to a gently thrumming heart that night.
