Chapter Two
“Okay and this is the training room, were you will learn different combat skills, learn to develop and control your powers, learn how to escape the most dangerous of environments and situations and meet new friends as well” Astrid said cheerfully and encouragingly as the new students and her watched the groups of students fought hand-to-hand combat, others flying through the air daggers in hand and launching off landing pads.
“Why are they just flying? Can’t they use their powers or something while in the air?” Joyce-lee asked her face pressed against the sturdy glass window that showed the whole training room.
“Most of them have other abilities than just flying, the school prefers to teach using a weapon first in case the situation, may be, where you are somewhat unable to use your abilities therefore teaching with a weapon is a handy advantage for yourself and a disadvantage if you come across an enemy” Astrid explained pointing at some of the many types of weapons that neatly stood on racks.
The room walls were made of pure steel metal and it was unbreakable, cameras in every direction analysing the student’s performance, professors teaching and students learning, the walls connected to weapons and when they were in use the walls would flip inside out with a weapon of the teachers choice and the student must perform defence and offence against the particular weapon.
“You are awfully quiet um Liam. Is there something you wish to ask?” Astrid asked concerned avoiding trying to access this boys mind.
He shook his head and looked directly at the training room. Joyce-lee yelped and took a step back as a body slammed against the window and slowly slid down. A girl in the distant mouthed a sorry before running towards the window picking up the boy she had defeated and stumbled away.
“Ouch that must of hurt” Harry cringed looking away in the opposite direction. Astrid looked over towards Liam and wishing she didn’t she was automatically thrown into Liam’s mind. Liam did a little jump before freezing. Everyone was silence, Harry and Joyce-lee exchanging confused glances and eyeing Liam and Astrid. The only sound was the faint war cries coming from the training room.
Astrid looked around everything was black. She didn’t know how to react, this has happened many times before. “Just close your eyes; relax and think of your body” Astrid whispered concentrating everything on her body and returning back to it.
At times like this Astrid wished she wasn’t mutated, she would be able to talk to people through each other’s minds but other times she just couldn’t control her power and she was spiralled through a vortex of nothing but blackness. This meant that she was stuck in the persons head and it would take a lot of effort to escape the blackness and return to her body.
Victims of this uncontrolled incident would instantly freeze, nothing would register to them and this was a concern to a lot of the professors, parents and students of the school. Relief flooded through Liam’s body as he gained control over his body, breathing heavily he composed himself to look as if nothing happened.
Astrid returned to her body and immediately continued the tour. Liam hesitated bringing his fingers to his temple and eyeing his tour guide. ‘Did she just…play with my mind?’ Liam thought ignoring the looks from Harry and Joyce-lee. A sly grin spread from the corners of Liam’s lips ‘Looks like things won’t be as bad as I thought it would be’

HiiiiWell I haven't updated in a long timeee (I think...) with many of my stories and it's holidays for me atm! This is just a filler to show you guys what you are in for and I really am practicing and learning third person and doing my research on superpower things so make it sound realisitically possible! So please guys as the readers review for me cos I'm trying my hardest to please you guys and really let your imagination run wild, i guess this is like this for many authors sooooo please comment!
