Lily's POV:

I woke up with a huge headache.

Then I remembered last night. I put my face into my hands and screamed. Maybe I should- no.

I promised not to make a decision. I want to see how this plays out so I can look for a sign.

I got out of bed and walked into my closet. What should I wear today? Seeing that most of our leaves have fallen I decided on putting on a white loose tee with a pocket on the right side and some black leggings. I pulled on a pink infinity scarf, pearl earrings, and my Sperrys.

Brushing my my hair I noticed how long it was. Only a few inches from my waist, I'll have to get it cut soon. Picking up my backpack full of Math assignments, I trudged downstairs and went to the second floor.

"Eleanor? I'm going to school... Eleanor?" I peaked into her room and found Eleanor snoring soundly into her pillow. Stifling a laugh, I quick wrote her a note:

Dear Eleanor,
I'm going to bike to school today.
Also I need a haircut.
Be back at four

I taped it onto her hand so she couldn't miss it and tiptoed out of her room. Shivering as I walked downstairs I noticed Luke's sweatshirt on the floor near the front. Sighing, I picked it up and pushed it into my backpack. Briefly packing myself a lunch (sushi, pear, Barbecue chips, gogurt, and piece of cheese cake), I stuffed that into my backpack as well.

I quick ran upstairs and grabbed my black north face fleece and pulled it on. Taking my heavy backpack, I stepped into the garage. Mounting on the bike was not a good idea because I nearly fell over, my backpack was so heavy.

Sighing, I hoisted it onto my back a bit more, and biked onto the driveway.

I pedaled down my block and ran into Luke.

"Hey Lily!" Luke smiled, as if nothing had happened last night. I looked nervously around, no signs telling me not to speak to him, but no signs telling me to speak to him.

"Hi Luke." I was about to pedal to the other side of the street but Luke stopped me.

"What?" I asked.

"Look both ways next time." I watched as a car zoomed past. Is this a sign that I should talk to Luke? Well, I'll take anything I can get.

"Thanks." Giving him a warm smile, as we biked safely across the road. We road in silence but it was nice, the sun was warming my body just perfectly, and the wind was nice enough to blow my long hair out of my face.

This must be an omen, the universe wants me to be with Luke!

Ismiled, now I know what I should do. When we arrived at school and locked up our bikes I made my way to my locker.

"Your locker is right here?" Luke pointed. I nodded.

"Mines right here too." Luke pointed to the locker next to me. I grinned, the universe was making it so clear and easy. My smile faded when I remembered who's locker was next to Luke's.

As if he had heard me, Jacob entered the school and made his way towards his locker. I quickly turned back to my locker, taking my stuff out.

"Oh, here's your sweatshirt, I uh, accidentally didn't give it back." I handed it over to Luke as he smiled and took it from me, our fingers slightly brushing. In the back of my eye, I noticed Jacob scowling at Luke. Uh oh. This can't be good.

"Well, I have to get to home room. See you in Math." Luke happily sailed by me. I grabbed my math stuff and other supplies and relocked my locker. I walked into home room, knowing that I would've have a place to sit. Peering into the corner of the room I spotted Jacob with a big group of his friends. Rolling my eyes, I sat alone, in the desk closest to the door. So I could get out of here quickest.

"Hey Lily!" I looked over my shoulder and saw one of Jacob's friends standing up. The rest were all staring at me. Here we go.

"So what's up with you and Luke? You guys have a date last night?" My heart raced, what should I say?

"That's for me to know, and you to wonder about." I snapped.

"Oh, feisty, I can see why Jacob still likes you." Rolling my eyes again, I turned my back to the boys once again.

"Hey Lily!" Sighing I turned again to boys.

"If you didn't go on a date with Luke, what were you doing? And we know you were together, Luke wasn't at our soccer game and Luke's mom told us." I turned back around, planning to ignore everything that came from their mouths for here on out.

"Hey Lily!"

" Hey Lily, come on, talk to us!"

"Hey Lily, of you didn't go on a date with Luke, you wanna go on a date with one of us?"

"Hey Lily! You know in the United Kingdom, you're supposed to answer a question, I don't know if you know that, you know, since you lived in America." That's it I thought. I am going to break one of their legs real soon.

"Hey Lil-"

"Okay FINE! Yes, Luke and I went on a date last night! Happy now? Now will you please leave me alone!"

The bell rang. Finally! I thought. Scoping up my books, I walked out of class.

I couldn't resist and I looked back at the boys. Luckily they weren't looking at me anymore, but they didn't look very happy. One of them looked up and I quickly turned around and walked away. But I know he saw me. And he didn't just look unhappy, he looked furious. Unfortunately, Jacob can have a nasty temper.
