Lily's POV:

I was staying at a hotel, with a room next to Eleanor's and Louis. I woke up with new hope and determination. I wasn't going to let my new family down, not once. I took a shower and worried about my appearance for the first time in two weeks. I picked out a green t-shirt and jean shorts with a loose side braid. Today I was saying goodbye to all my friends, they all were coming to Sky Zone, a place with trampolines everywhere, for a goodbye party. There was a huge piece of paper that was filled with all the signatures of my friends.

Before my parents died, they made me go to youth group at church, it wasn't so bad because I made friends with everyone in my grade. I saved the last hour of my day just for them. Most of the guys and two girls would go to church camp with me which was my favorite week of the year. I had an exhilarating time at that camp and this year I had made two really good friends. The names of those friends were Nick and Justin. I especially liked Nick, he was always making me laugh with funny faces and weird phrases.

And my youth group surprised me by bringing them to Sky Zone.

"Lily!" Nick yelled, grinning. I smiled and ran up to him and gave him a hug. Immediately I realized what I was doing and stepped back. To make it look like I didn't like him, I gave Justin and hug too. But it was rather obvious because my cheeks were as red as my hair.

"Sorry," I mumbled, "It's just I thought I wasn't ever going to see you- I mean you guys again!" Katherine, one of my friends from youth group came up behind me a whispered:

"Nice coverup, Slick."

"Shut up!" I whispered back. Katherine winked at me and hollered:

"Everybody out! These two lovebirds need some privacy!" Everyone snickered at me and left the party room, I was alone with Nick. I turned to him and was about to make an excuse but he said:

"I like you too..." He turned pink. I smiled, but he frowned.

"... And I was actually hoping that you wouldn't like me."

"Why?" I asked, confused.

"How am I supposed to say goodbye? I'm never going to see you again."

"We'll email and Skype and I promise I'll come back to camp next year, week four."

"Promise?"

"Promise." He pulled me into a hug and kissed my cheek."

"Don't forget about me," he whispered softly into my ear.

"Never."
