You Couldn't Understand
Hesitant to Leave
Harry's POV
"Jamie, that was... Wow," I say to her as we pull out of the driveway.
We just finished babysitting Charlotte, and although I was a little freaked out at first, it's hard not to love such a beautiful baby.
"She's something..." Jamie sighs.
"You had that planned?"
"I texted Lacey last night to see if we could visit... She basically said she'd owe me for all eternity if I watched the little monster and let them have a little time with each other," she answers.
"I suppose it's time for you to take me home?" I frown.
"Sure is. It's only Tuesday. We can't exactly skip school or the rest of the week," she reasons, "Plus I want to see the look on that bitch's face when she sees that I show."
"Makes sense," I reply, but I know that Jamie meant it when she said she doesn't want to be involved with me, so I'm hesitant to leave. This girl is a challenge if I've ever met one, "But I left some stuff at your house."
"Of course you did. Surely that wasn't intentional," she scowls.
"It wasn't!" I insist, even though we both know I'm lying.
"Sneaky bastard," she grumbles.
After a few minutes of driving, my thoughts finally try to break through.
"Jamie, why did you take me there today if you don't plan on.. If you aren't going to let me.. Let us.." I stutter.
"It's been a while since I've visited and if we're going to be friends... I mean, Nate and Ash have met her," she states as we pull into her driveway, "Well, speak of the devil..."
Jamie's best friends are standing in her driveway, and they do not look happy.
