Frenemies for Hearts
Chapter Three - Tagging Along
-Daisy-
I didn't know whether or not I should live with them. Niall had asked me the second we got into his car. I had told him about my surfing tournament, to which he replied "There will be another one." He didn't understand, and he had always done this, just jumped to conclusions without thinking about everything that could go wrong. I had always been extremely careful and planned everything out beforehand. Niall was the exact opposite.
-Niall-
How did she find me? Why is she here? God, I missed her so much. This must be fate, or God, or something magic. I couldn't believe that she was sitting next to me, and I knew she was thinking the same thing. A thousand prayers and questions raced through my head.
I raced back to the hotel, not giving a single regard to the speed limit. Would she go on tour with us? She would love the lads, and I know that they would love her too. Would Harry try to bone her? Probably. Would she let him? I don't know. I hope not. I sure as hell wouldn't let him.
-Daisy-
It was funny running up to the room with Niall. So many people staring that he didn't acknowledge. I guess that it looked like he was running me upstairs for sex. I giggled as a woman in the elevator stared, mouth open and everything, as Niall gave me a huge smooch on the cheek, as if to prove a point.
When we got to the room I changed into a pair of his sweatpants and a tshirt and we talked for a while. I had missed the smell of his clothes and the routine of getting in pajamas whenever we were together, no matter what time of day.
We didn't watch the movie we rented, talking instead, and when it ended I had fallen asleep with my head on his shoulder, thinking that this was the way it should be
when i woke up, i had 24 new voice mails from Emily and Avery. It was fascinating to listen to their sheer panic.
When I called them back, I heard the click of a door, and Zayn came out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel. He looked surprised to see me and mouthed "Sorry", got some clothes, and went back to the bathroom to change. Niall was downstairs getting coffee. Zayn and I were alone.
"Hello." he said after i had hung up. He was coming out of the bathroom, his shirt still of but thankfully with a pair of shorts on.
"Hi" I responded.
"Sorry, forgot my shirt." he said politely.
"Haha that's fine." this was awkward. His bare chest and torso made me uncomfortable. This was going to be interesting.
-Zayn-
"You must be Daisy." I said, trying to be smoothly polite over the fact that I couldn't breathe.
"Yes." She responded. When she spoke, her full lips shaped the words into something beautiful to listen to. Her long, brown hair cascaded down her back in waves from a loose pony tail. Her cheeks softly pink from sleep. She kept her tanned legs tucked below her in a pretzel and her hands folded in her lap.
And her eyes. Her eyes were beyond anything I'd ever seen. They were large and round. Green and blue at the same time, they were piercing and pensive. Her eyelashes brushed her cheek bones when she blinked. She was a goddess such as I had never encountered.
It was hard to make small talk with her without staring at her in a creepy way, or reaching out to touch her hair.
She told me about her career as a surfer and about her competition. When she walked to the sink to get a water, I could see her body was lean and strong. I wasn't a fan of the girls who starved themselves to look like models. it made me sick. I could tell that Daisy was an able athlete. Her leg muscles worked when she walked and I couldn't help noticing her perfect ass.
What was this? This feeling? This was like never before.
-Niall-
I lugged the coffee up the stairs (the elevator was out of order). When I reached the room I found Zayn and Daisy laughing and talking together. I went and handed her the coffee, shooting dagger eyes at Zayn. He widened his as if to say "what?"
Daisy clutched the cup to warm her hands as I sat down next to her. "I decided." she said.
"Yea? About what."
"Going with you guys." she responded. She was excited. I could tell by the way she bit her lip and the look in her eyes.
"Really?" I couldn't stand waiting to hear the answer. She was always such a tease.
"I want to." she blurted out. I was surprised that she didn't do her usual guessing game, but I was immediately great. We laughed and hugged and I was thrilled beyond belief.
