Frenemies for Hearts

Chapter One - Gone Clubbing

-Daisy -

Walking into the club with my best friends, Emily and Avery, I was feeling uncomfortable. All around me were girls with tanned legs, bleached blonde hair, and sparkly mini-dresses that almost showed more than I wanted to see. I was in Waikiki after all, surfing the Teen Ladies Turtle Bay Beach Surfing Competition. Twenty-four of the best girl surfers 18 and under competing for the ultimate prize: a sponsorship from Roxy.

I had been obsessing over it for the past two weeks. My girlfriends, who had tagged along to support me, convinced me to go with them to Waikiki to go clubbing for the weekend before I really needed to buckle down and focus on my training.

We nodded and smiled to the bouncer and waltzed into the door. Emily pulled me onto the dance floor while Avery gave us a peace sign with her fingers, meaning she was going to "Yolo" and go try to buy us alcohol even though we were all underage.

I inspected the people around me, nothing more than a tangle of sweaty body parts rubbing against each other to the beat. So many sparkly articles of clothing glinted and winked at me from the darkness.

I had gone with a more casual number, but I still liked to consider it sexy. Denim high-waisted shorts with a fitted, gray crop top that displayed the moon's waxing and wayning cycle above a grove of palm trees.

I didn't really feel like dancing. I wasn't much of a "clubber" or whatever. I still swayed my hips back and forth in time to the beat, so not to dampen the mood. What I really wanted to to was be in the water, catching the winning wave that granted me the Roxy sponsorship. It was my biggest dream, and I was determined to follow it.

-Harry-

Walking into the club, there were fifty girls at least surrounding us. We were used to it of course, but we were annoyed. At least I was. We only had so much time before we left for our house back in London, and I wanted to enjoy every last bit of my free time.

The plan was always to go get drinks, and while drinking them, decide on a girl to hit on. Louis smacked several girls on their asses on the way. He always does, more as a joke than anything else, but they seem to like it. All of the attention his looks and all that shit gets always goes to his head.

An oncoming headache struck me as i ordered my drink. I wasn't much of a dancer, and with a headache and under influence of alcohol, I was even worse. I didn't think I would be out on the dance floor much tonight.

-Daisy-

After i had hungrily downed the drink Avery had handed to me, I didn't feel that great. It was time for a rest.

I ordered a beer and sat at the bar, courtesy of my fake ID. I was watching all the ridiculous-looking people grinding on each other. I could never do that to a stranger. I was never a particularly adventurous person when it came to being sexy and stuff like that. I was raised a good girl, always a straight - A student, always a virgin, always a Daddy's girl. My father was devastated when I dropped out of boarding school to surf. I was still taking online classes, but he was acting like i needed to be disowned or something.

All these people were so comfortable with rubbing their crotches against other people's crotches. It was alien-like for me.

I was watching a couple that was going at it so much that it was almost gruesome, when I spotted a dark haired, pale boy, staring right at me.

It was Harry Styles.
