Chapter 9- management
Liam's POV
*RIIIING**RIIIIIING* I shot up after the second ring, the phone startling me awake. I grabbed some Batman pyjamas and put them on over my underwear. I raced downstairs and grabbed the phone. "Hullo?" I said sleepily rubbing my eyes.
"Liam! Great to hear you man!" Ricky said (AN not sure who their actual manager is)
"Ricky! I thought I'd never hear your voice again. How are you?" I asked enthusiastically.
"I'm good thank you. Listen the reason I called is because I heard about this little battle of the bands thing with The Wanted. And I was thinking I should come down and the 6 of us could chat about what song you and the boys will sing!" Ricky said. I was very excited about this.
"when are you coming down?" I asked
"great question... 30 minutes. Make sure all the boys are up. Bye now!" Ricky said hanging up the phone. I just stood there dumbfounded. I put the phone away and raced to the other boys rooms. I woke up Louis and Niall first. I figured they would be easiest and they were. I went to Harry next. Louis and Niall were behind me and Niall had a guitar.
"guys we doing the wake up song!?" I said they grinned eavily at me and I grinned back. Niall strummed his guitar and soon Harry was up. He joined us as we went to wake up Zayn. "IT'S TIME TO GET UP!!!!!" We scream singed and Zayn kicked Harry in the balls. Which sent us into a hysteria of laughter.
"My balls" Harry said curled up in a ball on the floor with a high pitched voice.
we all went downstairs and waited for Ricky. We drank coffee and talked about what we may want to sing.
"we could go classic and sing What Makes You Beautiful" Niall suggested
"no I think we should sing a song we all have a solo in" Zayn said
"One Thing?" Louis suggested
"again we sang it too many times" I said
"we could do Live While We're Young?" Zayn suggested
"Louis doesn't have a solo though" Niall said
"Louis can have one of my solos" Zayn said
"really?" Louis said
"yeah the one that's near the end" Zayn said
"thanks man!" Louis said and they hugged
"all great ideas but lets atleast wait for Ricky to get here" I said we all nodded and decided to make a list of songs we could all sing in the competition. The doorbell rang and I read to the door. And opened it to Ricky. He was short and thin with balding grey hair. And by short I mean really short, like Andy is almost taller than him short.
we entered the kitchen and he took a seat at the island. "So boys, what songs have you come up with?" Ricky asked slapping his hands together. We handed him the list and he read it over. "I like the idea of Rock Me, and Over Again. But I think the big show stopper should be Slow Song."
"wait we can sing more than one song!?" Harry asked
"yeah you all can sing 4 songs each. It's going to be like an American idol finally. Recapping all of your greatest memories and stuff. It's going to be great!" Ricky said
after an hour of discussions and arrangements we finally had the set of what we were going to sing/ do on stage in the competition. Ricky left and we spent the rest of the day going to town and watching movies and stuff.
