Liam’s p.o.v
I woke up the next morning, I’m often jotted awake by nightmares I know it seems stupid but wih everything that has happened it haunts me I mean I always have flashbacks of that night I do often think what would have happened if I stayed up on the stage talking to the crowd and then I would be in the position that Louis, Zayn and Harry are in I wouldn’t be running, I would be living a life with people who I care for and love. I jumped out of bed, well off of a few blankets and chucked on a vest and joggers and walked outside where Hannah was sitting.
“Hey Han.” I said.
“hey.” She said.
“how long have you been awake?” I asked.
“half of the night.” She said.
“that’s not good for you, you need to get rest in case we have to move or in case we have to run you need to be rested and you need energy.” I said.
“you don’t think I don’t know that if I could sleep I would I’m just scared that’s all.” She said pulling her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them I sat down next to her.
“I’m guessing you’re having nightmares as well” I said.
“yeah they’re getting worse and I’m just paranoid I mean no one is watching out on the night times and I have a feeling something Is going to happen.” She said.
“i just keep having nightmares of that night, I mean I watched my brothers get pulled away and knocked out to become monsters.” I said I wiped a few tears It’s pathetic but we were really close I mean we knew each other for 3 years and those where the best three years of my life and now my life has resorted to hiding and doing everything to survive, it would be so easy just to end this, but I’m not leaving Niall without anyone I don’t think he could handle it if I was gone.
“ I know I was at your concert, but we went backstage as soon as we heard the things going on you and Niall were lucky you said goodbye to the crowd just before they all came barging in and then you were done you went under the stage as normal.” Hannah said.
“yeah I know then I noticed something was wrong and watched them get dragged away.” I said.
“they will be fine I know they are vampires but they are still alive.” She said.
“no, they aren’t alive they are dead, Living dead I wish they were alive and normal but I know that’s never going to happen so they are kind of dead to me, they are alive a little bit, but I miss them “ I said
“so what are we doing today?” she asked.
“well I’m going to go for a run and just wake up properly so I’ll see you in like an hour or two if Niall askes I will be in the usual place.” I said and I jogged off into the woods to be alone with my thoughts. I ran for twenty minutes getting to the end of the woods, and looking into the town there wasn’t many people out, but there are only so many daylight rings that have been made. I noticed a few people kind of sniffing around confused but it will be my blood but no one seemed to notice where I was so I stayed there for a bit just watching people get on with their life’s.
Louis p.o.v
“Here Lou your turn with the ring.” Zayn said taking the ring off and giving me it. I took it and put it on.
“Lou you need to go out so, you’re going.” Harry said.
“why are you guys so bothered about me, you’re acting like your my parents.” I said.
“we just care for you “ Zayn said.
“fine I’ll go.” I said grabbing some sunglasses, I walked out the house and my eyes couldn’t adjust to the light so I put my sunglasses on and walked down the street to meet El, I have missed her so much but I’ve found it hard to adjust to this life I don’t know how people can just get on with this I mean no one is going to be able to grow up and have kids and just be normal.
I was meeting El at Starbucks, but I was walking the long way which follows the edge of the town which is near the woods, as I was walking I started to smell something and I stopped I knew what it was blood, but I don’t know where it’s coming from.
*Liam’s p.o.v
One man stopped in the middle of the path and I knew he smelt me so I ran through the woods but I ran into someone forcing us both fall to the ground, I looked over to him to see Niall holding a stake.
“whoa, whoa, whoa Niall it’s just me.” I shouted Niall dropped his hand back down to his side.
“where have you been we’ve been looking everywhere for you.” He said.
“i was just at the edge of the woods just thinking and watching vampires getting on with their lives but someone stopped and I think he could smell be but I don’t know if he followed me here.” I said.
“he would have killed us by now if he did.” He said.
“so what do you want to do today?” I asked.
“what is there to do we are hiding in the woods trying to hide from vampires who know we aren’t vampires.” He said.
“I know it’s pretty much impossible.” I said I heard leaves crunch and Niall and I stumbled to our feet and went back to back and I picked up a branch and snapped it in half making a stake.
*Louis p.o.v*
I followed the scent of blood it’s all I could think about I mean this was fresh blood from a human, not from the tap or whatever. I could hear too people talking and I followed the sound but I didn’t get too close I just observed.
“I know it’s pretty much impossible.” one of the men said I watched them and noticed straight away it was Niall and Liam they are alive, but I can’t let them see me I started to walk away quietly but I stood on some leaves that made a loud crunching noise and I saw them prepare themselves is this really what they have to do, be on edge all the time it would be so much easier if they were like us.
“Niall we should get out of here come on” Liam said. Niall turned around but he held the stake firmly if he saw me he wouldn’t think twice about killing me and that kills me one of my best friends killing me but they just walked away. I went back out of the woods and made my way to Starbucks but I bumped into someone.
“sorry.” I said.
“oh look it’s Lewis.” Great I would run into Max from the wanted let’s just say since this whole change he thinks he owns the place and I’m already on a warning from starting a fight with him, next time I get fined and the time after that I will be put in jail. The police take fighting seriously since we are stronger and faster and last time I chucked him into a wall and the wall cracked.
“and look it’s the biggest asshole alive what’s your name is it dick?” I said rolling my eyes.
“at least my band is still together unlike yours did you ever find Liam and Niall? Oh wait they’re dead aren’t they, they didn’t want to change so they died instead so I pushed him up against the wall.
“they aren’t dead and at least those two are stronger than you I mean they’re going against the law staying alive to live a life compare to us where we gave in and let this happen at least they aren’t giving in now fuck off.” I said chucking him across the path. And I walked away and met El.
“hey El I’ve missed you.” I said kissing her and pulling her into a hug.
“hey Lou I’ve missed you too, are you ok.” She said.
“I guess I am” I said.
“Lou you can’t keep living in the past, I know Niall and Liam were your brothers but even if they are alive you know you can’t be around them, I mean you will most likely kill them or if you get caught your harbouring a human that’s against the law and that’s one of the worst things you can do and you would most likely be killed.” El said.
“I know, El can I tell you something.” I said.
“of course you can, you know you can” she said.
“El you have to promise that you won’t tell anyone.” I said.
“I promise now tell me.” She said.
“I just saw Liam and Niall.” I said.
“wait you did, so they are alive, Lou don’t go near them, you will end up hurting them if you do and I don’t want you to hurt them ok promise me you won’t go and try to find them.” She said.
“I promise now can I get you a drink?” I asked.
“sure, I’ll have a blood and caramel Frappuccino.” She said.
“of course I’ll be right back.” I said buying us our drinks.
