I sat on the edge of my bed still unable to sleep everything is running through my mind it doesn’t seem right that I’m a vampire something continued to run through my mind when my dad was killed my mum gave me a letter which she told me not to open until the thing that my dad was working for happened and it happened but I never had a chance to actually open it and like many things I haven’t done in a long time like this is the first time I have sat in a bed in ages. Maybe I should open the letter now? I placed the letter on the bed and walked back and forth in my room debating if I should read the letter or not after a long time of thinking I finally opened it.
Dear Niall.
By the time you read this I shall be dead and the experiment should have been released into the world, you never knew what happened in there but now you will most likely know that what we were working on was a experimental drug that would change the human population into vampires I won’t go into detail since you should be living with all of this.
Anyways Niall you should be a vampire by now and living a normal life well as normal as your life can be, but if you aren’t a vampire yet and are still human you will become a vampire you see there was something I didn’t tell you but your mother was aware of, I was involved in the government because I had vampire DNA it was in my blood which has been passed through my family for decades this is how the drug was possible.
Anyway I wasn’t killed by a rogue vampire I was killed because they took all of the vampire DNA from me and because that made up so much of my DNA this being taken out of me made me too weak to live and unfortunately died.
But the thing is Niall this vampire DNA has been passed down to you and the same thing happened to me when you reach the age of 21 the vampire DNA breaks through and you go through the transition of becoming a vampire I don’t know if you were giving the drug or you ran but either way you will be vampire and unlike these other vampires you are stronger, faster and all of your senses are stronger along with your thirst you will be able to control your thirst better and won’t have to drink as much blood to survive.
You have an advantage Niall use it don’t let the government get a hold of you if they find out you are a vampire by blood you will be used as an experiment like me and they will try to get your DNA to improve other vampires abilities.

I re read the letter hundreds of times and it didn’t seem to sink in my dad was a vampire and now I am because of my dad. No, No, No I hate vampires they killed him. But he said it was the government so I’m assuming they were humans. My mind is a mess right now. This just is so confusing. Why couldn’t the government just left things the way they were everything would be fine my dad would still be here, we would all be human, the boys and I would be touring the world doing what we love. I put the letter down on my bed and walked out of my room and downstairs to be met with 3 sets of eyes.
“hey guys” I said.
“hey Ni how are you?” Liam asked.
“I’m fine just tired” I said.
“hey Lou can I talk to you in the kitchen” I said.
“sure” Louis said and we walked into the kitchen. “what’s wrong?”
“my mum gave me this letter when my dad died and well i got told not to open it until the world was changed into vampires but I never got around to it you know running and all anyway the government didn’t change me into a vampire” I said.
“wait so what does that mean?” he said.
“my dad was a vampire and me obviously being his son I got that DNA my dad explained in the letter that when he turned 20 he became a vampire because the DNA over took the human DNA meaning he became a vampire and that’s what happened to me apparently the thing is he also said since I’m a vampire by blood I’m stronger, faster and all my senses are stronger than yours and if the government find out then basically I will die because they will want to take my DNA and if they take that DNA I will become so weak that I will die” I explained.
“ok so you’re a vampire by blood, your dad was also a vampire and the government don’t know that you’re a vampire when did you change like?” Louis said confused.
“when I was in there I think the second time I woke up my throat burned but I don’t think I was fully transformed I mean you saw what happened that vampire guard wanted to kill me so I must have been human and half vampire meaning I didn’t change until I drank the blood” I said.
“so they don’t know that’s great can’t we pull off you being a vampire because that guard injected you with something” Louis said.
“maybe I don’t know but to be honest I would like to avoid the government at all costs.” I said.
“you know you can’t leave here right I mean if you go with Liam and the girls you’re going to end up killing one of them because of your thirst you need to have access to blood all the time.” Louis said.
“I know that” I said.
“how are you dealing with this I mean around Liam?” he said.
“great Louis my dad also said my thirst is more controllable than yours because once again it’s to do with me being born as a vampire” I said.
“really that’s awesome” he said.
“I guess but vampires didn’t kill my dad the government did so basically I’ve been holding grudge for no reason” I said.
“hey don’t worry now come on let’s have a drink since we don’t know how long it will be until you can have another drink” he said handing me a glass which I took and drank.
“come on let’s go back in there” I said and I sat down on the settee next to Liam whilst Harry gave me a look but Louis whispered something and he smiled and we ended up watching a film but I fell asleep during it.
