Summer Break
Reminiscing.
I woke up in Harry’s bed, remembering that I had fallen asleep on the couch. He must have carried me in here last night, because I sure as hell don’t remember waking up. I looked down to find his body wrapped around mine. His head was on my stomach, and his arms were directly underneath with my waist in their hold. Even his legs were intertwined with mine, which caused a smile to spread across my face.
My hands moved to his hair, and lightly ran through over and over. I didn’t want him to wake up, but he started moving his head, so I withdrew my hand from his hair.
“No, keep going.” He mumbled, resituating his head on my stomach.
I giggled and placed my hand back on his head, running my gingers through his hair and slightly scratching his scalp a bit. Harry moved up my shirt up slowly, revealing a thin line of skin and started moving his thumb over it. We laid in bed for I don’t know how long, me messing with his hair and Harry running his finger along me exposed skin. Everything was peaceful until I felt something wet on my tummy. My first thought was-
“Harry, did you just drool on me?” I said, stopping the movement of my hand.
Harry laughed, moving his head from my stomach to kiss me on the cheek.
“Of course not, I just licked you.” He shrugged.
I shook my head at him smiling. “You are ridiculous.”
“Mhm?” he hummed, licking his lip before biting it.
I wiggled under his gaze, which I don’t recall ever happening before. And I didn’t notice until now that he never pulled my shirt down, and his hand was trailing up my side. The smile on his face grew the further up his hand went. Chills ran through my body, leaving a trail of goose bumps where his hand was.
“Stop looking at me like that.” I whispered, not trusting my voice.
He chuckled again before moving down to place his lips on mine.
“And quit laughing at me,” I added, moving my hand to his neck kissing him again.
He pulled away from me, his face still inches from mine, smiling. “Good morning.”
I closed my eyes, laughing. If my head wasn’t on a pillow, I would have thrown my head back. I slowly opened my eyes, taking in the flawless features of his face. “Good morning, Harry.” I replied, moving my hand to the back of his head, once again running my fingers through his hair.
“You know, every single morning you manage to look beautiful when you wake up?” he asked rhetorically, pushing strand of my hair behind my ear.
“And you know, every single morning, you look sexy as hell? Even your hair, I don’t know how you do it.” I shook my head then looked into his eyes. “So…” I began seriously. “You really think I look good in the morning? Even that morning after I got drunk?”
He smiles. “Yes, every single morning.” He leaned down to press a soft kiss to my lips. “So, what should we do today? We could go zip lining again, or swim with sharks.”
“Yea freaking right, Harry. I can only handle so much in less than a 3 month period…. I have an idea.”
“What’s that?”
“We should make chocolate chip cookies.” I bit my lips seductively.
“Oh, baby.” His eyes light up.
“Yea, and then…” I whispered pulling his head down so his ears were right next to my lips. “We can watch ‘Love Actually’.” I ended with a kiss below his ear.
“Oh baby, don’t tease me.” He spoke, pressing his lips to mine over and over, and then placing soft pecks all over my face, causing me to giggle. “Are you sure I’m the right company?” he asked pulling back with a smirk on his face.
I moved my hand to his cheek, rubbing my thumb over his cheekbone. “You are the perfect company.” I held a soft smile on my lips.
“Seems like so long ago doesn’t it.”
I looked up at his thoughtful expression, he was right. “It does, I guess. It was a nice day though… you know; I thought you didn’t like me that day.” I remembered.
“What? Why would you think that?” curiosity covered his face.
“Remember when we were watching the movie and you said you were distracted? I saw you staring at me, and then you answered ‘nothing important’.” I looked away, recalling the stupid memory.
“You know, I didn’t mean that. I just wanted it to be perfect when I kissed you, when I told you how I felt about you. After I said that, I just wanted to wrap you up in my arms and tell you it was you; that it was important. But that night was so great for me, I’d dance with you in the rain over and over. I’d tell you I want to be that guy a thousand more times. I’d tell you…” he trailed over, staring at me, then flicking his eyes to my lips before kissing them. “I’d tell you how important you are to me every day of my life.” He kissed me again. “You mean so much to me Annabelle, I hope you are aware.” There was hope in his eyes, but he almost looked scared, like he didn’t think he meant as much to me.
“You mean a lot to me too, Harry.” More than you may ever know, more than I may ever say out loud.
Notes
hi,I was gonna do the weekend thing, but this week and next week I plan on updating more so I can finish this book up. Estimation: 5 more chapter and an Epilogue.
Mostly because I know how its gonna end, this chapter was kinda a filler, but it reminisced on their past a bit. PLUS I got to go back and read some of the first chapters in the story... OMG, they were awful and short and just thank you for sticking with me through this story.
I love you all so much, it's crazy.
