The rest of the week had been eventful, yet uneventful at the same time. Me and Harry talked a bit, chatting a few times when we met on the beach or the bar. Usually he was leaving when I was arriving, or the other way around. Ashley, Jake, and I had been spending a good amount of time together. We were out and about on the town. Me and Ashley went shopping, while Jake stayed back and played video games; he was very happy he brought his Xbox with him.
Of course the day after my date with Harry, Ashley wanted to know everything, so I told her. I told her what I thought. To a point she agreed, but she said to give him a chance. Then I told her what he tweeted. Yes, I got his tweets sent to my phone because I love One Direction! It’s not just his, I get notified when any of them tweet! Tell me you don’t do it! His tweet said:
'Had a nice night with a lovely person. Night.'
Unless he met someone after I went in my room, I think it is safe to assume that was about me. Then she told me I should really give him a chance.
“I know you’re scared, but come on Anna. He likes you, you’re amazing. Just because you’re younger than what he’s used to, and he has a reputation, you don’t really know if he’s like what all the media says.”
Part of me knew she was right, and I did like Harry so I decided that I would put forth my best effort to go out with him again… If he asked.
Honestly, 3rd wheeling sometimes is NOT that fun. They weren’t too bad, but sometimes when we would watch a movie at night, I’d be sitting there with my popcorn while the cuddle whispering things in each others ears. I laughed at the thought of it. They were in love, and I loved that they loved each other.
Anyway, I knew I would see him over the rest of the seven weeks I was here, and it would be stupid to avoid him, to not talk to him, to not see him smile because of something I said or did. I wanted to get to know him, but I feared that if he got to know me, he would never be interested. Maybe for the rest of the summer I should just, not think all the time. It’s really getting me nowhere is it? That’s it. As a promise to myself. I will not think during the rest of the summer. Okay, maybe that is a little unrealistic. I won’t think as much, and by doing so, when I do think. I will not let it completely effect all of my decisions… That’s okay right, at least it’s a start.
