Perfect To Me

Time Escapes Me

I woke up the next morning with a pounding in my head from the amount of alcohol I consumed last night. I quickly processed last night’s events and remembering the events that happened when I left the club I opened one of my eyes and saw Abby sleeping peacefully, I took a peak at myself underneath the duvet and confirmed that we really did sleep together. I sat there reminiscing about last night not regretting a thing that happened when I heard a loud groan come from beside me. I look over at Abby and she’s turning over to face me while shielding her eyes.

“Good morning,” I said to her as I turned to face her better.

“Morning,” she whispered in her morning voice, which sounded very similar to the voice of a three year old.

“Does your head hurt?” I said as I pulled her into me and she nodded her head against my chest. We sat there for a few minutes when I pulled away and stood up. Slipping on my briefs I walked to her bedroom door.

“Where are you going?” She asked from her spot on the bed.

“Going to get some Advil from the kitchen,” I said not looking back at her as I continued on my journey to the kitchen. It took me a while to find the Advil but when I did I grabbed it along with a bottle of water then walked back into her room where I saw her pulling on a pair of jeans and jumping around her room.

“What on earth are you doing?” I asked her and she whipped around to face me in just her jeans and a bra.

“Putting my jeans on, they’re a little tight,” she said with a sheepish smile on her face. When she continued to squeeze into her jeans I noticed the rather large tattoo on her side.

“Nice tattoo,” I said to her as I approached her to get a better look at it. It was a feather that was twisting and as it got to the top it turned into birds flying off and in cursive along the side it said ‘Be Free & Live Free’. I dragged my finger across it mesmerized by the detail.

“Thanks! I got it when I moved here,” She exclaimed as she walked back into her closet and came out two seconds later with a shirt in her hand.

“Is it special to you?” I asked her as she slipped her shirt on.

“Very.”

“What does it mean?” I asked her as I sat on the edge of her bed and pulled her down next to me.

“I didn’t like living in America, it didn’t feel like home it felt like a prison to me. At first I thought it was my hometown of San Diego that felt like prison but once I went to Stanford that felt like prison as well and when I moved in with my grandparents in Cincinnati, Ohio I was at peace but only for a few months. When I moved here I felt free as soon as my feet landed on the ground. The words had always been my motto when I was growing up, be free means don’t let things hold you down and live free means live carelessly,” Abby said while nodding her head.

“Why did it feel like prison?”

“Well my parents were big on succeeding like failure wasn’t an option in my family. I went to the top private school in my area, and I worked my tail off every day to get all A’s and graduate a year early. I got accepted into Pre-Law at Stanford which just made my parents ecstatic, but they never noticed how unhappy I was the entire time. I was living the life they wanted me to live not the one I wanted to live. So when I dropped out of Stanford after attending for three weeks they were beyond pissed and actually disowned me.”

“So that’s why you moved in with your grandparents?” I asked, all of a sudden intrigued by her life story.

“Yep. I told them I wanted to drop out and they packed their bags and drove all the way out there and brought me back to Ohio because they knew my parents would disown me. The best thing about my grandparents is they didn’t care what I did as long as I was happy. They have always been my backbone.”

“Then why did you move here away from them?”

“It was hard to move here you have to know that, but living in Cincinnati I was happy there for a few months but then I started going back to being unhappy and my grandparents took note of it. That’s when they helped me find my job, they knew how much I’ve always wanted to live here and how happy photography makes me, they knew I’d be happy here. It was a hard goodbye, probably the hardest I’ve ever dealt with but I wouldn’t take it back for anything in the world,” Abby said to me as we locked eyes.

“You are amazing, you know that? I could never do that I’m too much of a mummy’s boy to leave,” I told her and she just chuckled at me.

“Abby?” I asked after a few minutes of silence.

“Yeah?”

“Do you want to go on a date with me today?” I asked her. I fancied this girl, I truly did. The more I learn about her the more I like her. She’s got the looks but her personality beats everything. I’ve never met a girl like her before and it threw me off because I didn’t know how to act around her. I wasn’t my normal, cocky, flirtatious self, I was actually shy.

“You’re asking me on a date now after last night? That’s a little out of order don’t you think?” She joked.

“Order is lame. What do you say? Go on a date with me.”

“Yeah okay I will,” Abby said with a smile on her face and a slight hint of a blush. I couldn’t help but smile at her.

“Sweet. Now let’s head over to my flat so I can shower and change because I feel disgusting,” I said to her as I stood up and stuck my hand out to her. She grabbed my hand and we headed downstairs where we ran into Stan giving us a funny look and then pointed to Abby and I’s interlocked hands.

“You two finally dating now?” Stan asked with an amusing grin on his face as Abby blushed.

“No. Can’t friends hold hands?” I told him and he shook his head laughing. We walked out on to the sidewalk and got in a cab and headed over to my flat. We pulled up outside my flat and the paparazzi were lining the sidewalk.

“Ready?” I asked Abby and she nodded her head. We got out of the cab and as soon as Abby got out she interlocked our hands again, I turned around and gave her a confusing look.

“Friends can hold hands right?” She said and I just smiled knowingly at her as we walked into my flat. Once we were safe inside I finally spoke up.

“You know you probably just broke thousands of hearts right?” I said to her as we walked further into the home, she just shrugged her shoulders as she plopped down on my bed.

“Hurry up superstar.”

I quickly ran into the bathroom and stripped from clothes. I put some music on and then turned the shower on, I waited for the water to heat up before stepping in. After about 15 minutes I was finished and stepped out of the shower, I wrapped a towel around my waist and stepped out into my bedroom. Abby wasn’t on the bed anymore and our song ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ was playing throughout the flat. I stepped into the living area and found Louis and Abby dancing like a bunch of fools to the song. I ran back into my room to grab my phone and when I came back into the living area I started to film them. When the song ended I started laughing and they both whipped around to face me, immediately Abby had an evil glare on her face. She took off running for me and before I could do anything we hit the ground and she straddled my waist as she held me down.

“Well, well, well what do we have here,” Abby said while dragging her finger down my chest.

“I’ve got blackmail on you,” I smirked at her.

“Right, and your below me in just a towel that when I stand up I can rip off,” she teased.

“Lou has seen me naked and now you have too so that’s really not a problem for me.”

“Yeah, but I also own a phone and can snap a picture in the split of a second. Do you really wanna try me Styles?” Abby offered.

“Okay okay okay. I’ll delete it!” I yelled and pressed some buttons on my phone. After deleting it I showed her the proof and she still sat on me. “Are you going to get up now so I can finish getting dressed?”

“I guess,” she said while dragging out the word guess. She stood up and helped me stand up. I went into my room and quickly put some clothes on.

“HAZZA! You dirty devil! You put that video on the internet!” Louis yelled and I started cracking up.

“I never said I wouldn’t post it before deleting it!”

“Louis just ignore it! He’s just jealous of our dancing skills that’s all!” Abby said to him and I turned around to face her pretending to be hurt by her words.

“How dare you think I’m jealous,” I said and grabbed her by her hips and pulled her towards me. “I could never be jealous of his dancing skills, now yours on the other hand…maybe!” I said with a smile on my face.

“Well you should be jealous of our skills,” Abby said as she playfully hit my chest.

“You’re lucky you’re cute,” I told her and captured her lips with mine.

“Awwwwwww,” Louis said from the door way and I bent down to pick up a shoe and threw it at him.

“Get out of here man!” I yelled and when I looked down at Abby she was blushing again.

“You’re adorable when you blush!” I exclaimed.

“Oh whatever, are you ready to go now?” She asked and I nodded my head. I grabbed my wallet on my way out along with my car keys and shoved them in my pockets. Once we got outside I grabbed her hand and intertwined our fingers together and walked us over to my black Range Rover. I opened the passenger side door for her and helped her in and then jogged my way around to the driver’s side and hopped in. I brought the car to life and quickly pulled away from the curb and succeeded in not hitting one of the paps, even if I want to sometimes. These pictures of Abby and I today will be on the internet by the end of the day, I’m just happy she can handle it.

Throughout the course of the day we visited some small shops, walked around a park, and most importantly, we ate food. There were a lot of photographers trying to get some photos of us, the best part was they didn’t ruin our day. We were currently looking around a music store when Abby came up with an idea.

“Do you ever just want to mess with the paparazzi?” She asked me as she looked through The Beatles section.

“It’s crossed my mind a few times, why?”

“Let’s have a little fun with them,” she said and dragged me to the door. I shook my head at her but agreed none the less. “Pack on some PDA but no kissing, kay?” She asked and I nodded my head. We walked outside and Abby immediately threw her arms around my neck as she stared into my eyes, I lifted her off the ground and spun her around, and we couldn’t help but laugh. We continued doing things like that when Abby decided to really mess with them, she pulled me into her and brought our lips just centimeters apart before pushing me away.

“OH MY GOSH HARRY!!” She yelled at me, but I could see a smile in her eyes so I knew this was all part of her plan.

“What?” I said to her, pretending to be confused.

“I just saw you check that girl out!”

“Honey I don’t know what you’re talking about!” I said, who knows where this could lead. She better not slap me.

“I can’t trust you! I thought you loved me!” She yelled and started crying. If I hadn’t of known she was acting I would have thought she was really crying.

“Please dear, the only person who has my attention is you!” I said as I placed my hands on her hips.

“No! You’re a cheater, you filthy scumbag!” Abby yelled while she slapped my chest and pushed me away again.

“I didn’t even look at any girl! The only thing I was looking at was your beautiful deep blue eyes babe!”

“No, get lost. I can’t do this anymore! I gave you a second chance and you blew it!” Abby yelled and took off running, I smiled and chased after her through the streets of London. Once we felt like we lost the paps Abby pulled me into a mum and pop shop.

“That was fun!” She said while she tried to catch her breath.

“Yeah it was.”

“You think they bought it?” She asked as she looked into my eyes.

“Definitely. The crying looked so real!” I exclaimed to her and rested my hands on her hips.

“Awesome!” She said while laughing.

“You know Abby, you aren’t like other girls,” I told her and a look of confusion appeared on her face.

“Should I be offended?”

“Not at all! No! I like that you aren’t like other girls! Most girls would be doing that stuff for attention but no, you did it to mess with them and have fun! You are the complete opposite and I love it,” I told her while I moved a loose strand of hair out of her face.

“Well I’m flattered,” she said as she blushed. I leaned down and gave her a small peck but I let my lips linger after.

“You are a one of a kind and I’m glad I met you,” I admitted as I got lost in her icy blue eyes. A smile took over her face as she brushed her nose against mine and pecked me on the lips.

“I’m hungry,” she said once she pulled away and went to go sit at a table. I followed her and joined her.

“I give you a compliment and all you care about is food? You really are different,” I told her as I sat down.

“What can I say super star, I love food,” she shrugged.

I can already tell this girl is going to drive me wild
