What Are You Hiding?
Liam’s POV
Who did that guy think he was?! Bumping into my girl like that, he wasn’t going to get away with it. I hope he learned his lesson.
Well, after all that I decided to take little miss no-name out to eat. She was pretty picky, she wanted the place we were going to eat at not crowded, not too small but not huge and to have a good atmosphere. Well we eventually found a place like that and headed in.
We waited to get seated; once the lady told us where to sit we did so.
“So, tell me about yourself?” I demand.
She laughs at how keen I am and shakes her head. “No, tell me about yourself” she demands.
I slouch back in my chair. “Alright then, you know my name. I’m 20yrs old, I’m famous, I’m pretty good looking, I live by myself with my dog Loki, I have two sisters and yeah that’s about it” I finish.
She sighs. “Take a breath, you might pass out” she says sarcastically.
I smirk. “Now, what about you?” I ask her.
“Well there’s not much to say. I’m 17, I love being surrounded by my friends, I love English and Science, people think of me as the shy but fun girl, always hiding things from the people I care about... oh and I love Koalas!” she exclaims.
“You hide things? Like what?” I ask her. She looks at me sadly.
“N-nothing” she looks away and calls the waiter over to our table.
“Are you ready to order now?” he asks her politely. I clear my throat before she can speak.
“No sorry sir, we aren’t ready to order yet” I dismiss him and look at her questioningly.
“What? Listen can we just order, I’m hungry” she whines at me. I shake my head and look at her sternly.
“I’m okay with not knowing your name but I can tell you’re hiding something, so spit it” I tell her.
“Fine! Two years ago I had a brother. Let me say that again, HAD! I loved him so much and since my father left us he promised he would protect me and my Mum, but no. He was out with his mate and they got ran off the road by some drunken idiot. They both died!! Mum seemed to move on okay and had heaps of therapy, but I didn’t move on at all! And I still haven’t!” she screams and burst out into tears. Everybody stares at her and she runs out.
I take everything in and chase after her. “Hey! Get back here!” I shout at her as we run outside into the car park.
She starts to slow down, the tears still streaming down her face as she comes to a complete stop. I run to her side and start to catch my breath.
“What are you afraid of?!” I yell “what do think is going to happen to you?!”
“I don’t want to be upset again! I don’t want my Mum to die! I don’t want to die, I’m scared Liam” she drops to the ground “I’m just scared” she breathes shivering.
I look around and make sure no one is there that will notice me. Then I take my hoodie off and put it around her. “She won’t die, I promise you that. And as long as you’re with me, you won’t get hurt! I will protect you from anything and everything! I swear on it!” hold her shoulders so she believes every word I say.
“L-Liam you don’t understand, you could die!” I see the pain behind her eyes and they start welling up with tears.
“I’ve got so many body guards, you wouldn’t believe!” I exclaim smiling. She still doesn’t look convinced so I continue. “You know how I found you, I told a few people who know me to look for a girl with big beautiful green eyes, bright blonde hair and smooth tanned skin, but mostly, for a girl that has a killer confidence and always looks on the bright side. A girl that is super smart and looks good in whatever she tries on, she doesn’t even have to try and she looks hot!” I tell her honestly.
She starts to blush and a small but happy smile appears on her face. “I can’t tell you how much that means to me Liam! Thank you so so much!” she smiles even wider than before. I hug her tightly and she hugs back.
“My name is Fliss, Fliss Evens” she whispers in my ear. I smile and sigh happily.
“That’s a unique and beautiful name, it suits you” I whisper back, sending chills down her spine. “Now we should head to mine, before it gets late hey?” I ask her.
“What-oh yeah right ... haha” she laughs nervously. I hop up and help her up too, but a group of girls see me and start screaming. Oh crap! I grab Fliss’ hand and race towards my car. Once I get there I don’t bother waiting I just put Fliss in the car myself and drive off.
When we are on the main road, Fliss plugs in her IPod and puts ‘I Want’ on by One Direction. She then puts her feet up and closes her eyes. Once she falls asleep, I quickly pull out my phone and capture a picture of her, changing it to my lock screen. Let’s just hope she doesn’t find out ...

I am SO sorry I haven't updated in like 3 weeks!! Well I hope this is worth the wait, again I'm so sorry.Finally it's school school holidays so I can update more regularly. :)
