She's Not Afraid
Welcome to Hell
When we got to the shopping center…that was the first time I saw my mum in years.
She didn’t live anywhere near London, so this was more concerning than anything.
“Annabelle!?” She looked at me. I froze. Shit she recognized me. That’s when I ran. I grabbed Perrie and ran back to her car. She unlocked the car door and we got in, locking all the doors.
“Anna, why’d you run from her?!” Perrie asked.
“That’s my mum…” I stuttered. I was scared. Why was she in London? I was trying to calm down as Perrie was getting herself situated, when a tap at the window made us both jump. Of course my mum followed. She rolled down the window slightly.
“Can I help you?” She asked.
“I’d like to talk to my daughter.” Her voice sent chills down my spine.
“Well it doesn’t seem like she wants to talk to you, so good day.” Perrie rolled up the window and we left.
“Thank you, Perrie.” I had managed to calm myself down. I told her to drive me to my place considering the boys had a dinner to go too. Louis said he was taking me so I had to get ready. It was semiformal so I had to wear something nice. I hate dressing up.
“See you at seven, love.” Perrie waved and drove off. I sighed and walked inside my flat.
No one likes you
Stop thinking like that. I walked into the bathroom. There was a plethora of pills spewed across the counter. The boys had come and grabbed all my razors and laxatives to dispose of them.
Kill yourself. Cunt.
STOP! I punched the mirror. Shards of glass flew everywhere. A few getting caught in my hand. Fuck. I sat on the ground and started pulling out the pieces. I was bleeding pretty badly. I didn’t hit a vein or artery luckily. I cleaned up my hand and wrapped it. I then decided to shower. I’ll worry about the glass later.
It was seven o’clock when Louis showed up to pick me up. He looked at my hand.
“What happened?” He asked, obviously concerned.
“Got into a fight with my mirror.” I sighed as he led me to the car. Adrienne was the first to notice the bandage.
“We can’t leave you alone for more than five minutes.” She muttered, examining my bandage.
“Got into a fight with the mirror.
Louis’s P.O.V
Harry gave me a look once we got to the restaurant.
“Lou, I think it’s time.” He was right. Anna needed help that we couldn’t provide. I nodded in agreement. How was I supposed tell he.
“How do I do it?” I asked Harry.
“Tell her you’re driving her to your parents or something.” Harry suggested. I hated the thought of lying to her, but it may be the only way.
After dinner, I brought Anna aside.
“Hey love, how would you like to spend the next two months with my mum and sisters?” I asked her.
“I don’t even know dem Lou.” She replied.
“This will be a great chance for you to get to know them!” I smiled. I hate this.
“Fine, when do I leave?” She reluctantly agreed.
“Tomorrow morning.” She looked at me wide eyed.
Anna’s P.O.V
I watched Louis load the last of my luggage into the minivan. I was terrified.
“Ready to go love?” Louis asked nervously.
“Yep.” Why was he nervous? I turned and hugged everyone. Niall didn’t want to let go.
“Niall…let her go.” Louis sounded pissed.
“Bye Ni! Bye everyone else!” I called as I got into the car. Louis got in and we headed out. He didn’t talk to me much until we got close to what I assumed was his Mum’s.
“Anna, you’re not going to my Mum’s.” He said.
“What?! Then where the hell am I going?” I was pissed.
“Maudsley Hospital…” He wouldn’t look at me.
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me!” I sighed.
“You need help.” Louis said as we pulled into the drop off area.
“Fuck you.” I said, got out and slammed the door. I was pissed. How could he lie too me? Why would he? I thought he was different!
“C’mon Anna.” Louis guided me inside. We were greeted by smiling nurses. Louis filled out the paper work. I was crying by the time he had to leave.
“Bye Anna, please be good.” He hugged me. I stood still. I didn’t want to talk to him, let alone touch him.
“Fuck you, Louis.” I pushed him away and followed the nurse to my room.
“Here’s the room you’ll be in.” She smiled as she opened the door. There was a hospital bed, a bookshelf and a set of drawers. I sighed and walked in. I saw the little note on the clip board.
“Suicide watch?” I asked.
“You tried to kill yourself three weeks ago, correct?” She asked.
“Yes…” I sat on the bed and sobbed.
“Honey, you’re on the road to recovery.” The nurse sighed and walked away. How could Louis do this? He lied. He fucking lied.
“Hi Anna, I am Nurse Mel, I need to collect your electronics.” Another nurse smiled. I glared at her.
“I need my music.” I snapped.
“You can keep that, I just need lap top, cell phones and other communication devices.” She said. I gave her my lap top.
“Here…” I sighed.
“Will you be willing to accept visitors?” She asked me. I nodded.
Louis’s P.O.V
The drive back was miserable. She hated me. I know she did. But I did the right thing…right?
“Lou, you can’t blame yourself.” Niall said, rubbing my back.
“She had a look of pure hatred Niall…she hates me!” I yelled, tears streaming down my face. Niall sighed and got up.
“You know…I would’a done da same ting if I had noticed years ago…” He said and walked out. I just sat down.
Louis: I don’t know if you have your phone…but I wanted to say sorry for lying. I did this to get you help. I don’t like seeing you hurt…I’m sorry…
I sent her a text. I wasn’t expecting a reply.
Anna: Fuck off, Lou. You lied. I know you had good intentions, but you lied.
She was still pissed. But she said more than one word to me at least.
Louis: Goodnight Anna, I’m sorry.
Anna: Whatever…night.
Ouch. I called Niall for support but Adrienne answered.
