Everything Has Changed

Three

The weekend had ended, way too soon in my opinion. Despite my worried and troubled mind, I managed to have a great weekend with the boy I love the most. Saturday was spent tailgating and socializing along with a nice long walk through campus ending with a deliciously greasy dinner at In N Out. Sunday was spent cuddled up in bed, sharing lazy kisses and the occasional love making. And Monday, despite it’s usual dreariness, was relaxing. The six and a half hour drive home was filled with laughter and horrible singing. It felt like it had been so long since we’d been able to have a whole long weekend to ourselves, it was nice.
Walking into school Tuesday morning, I held Harry’s hand, our fingers laced together. Smiles were plastered on both of our faces, and we were just happy. The weekend had done our relationship well.
"Look who it is, the Troy and Gabriella of Rock Hill High School." Haley teased as she closed her locker. Her dyed-red hair was loosely curled and she had on her usual outfit of a band tee, skinny jeans, and vans. "So how was the romantic weekend?"
"Hazza!" Niall called from the locker room, motioning Harry to come.
"Gotta go babe. See you in chem." His lips molded to mine briefly, still managing to take my breath away, before smacking my backside playfully and scurrying off.
"This weekend was amazing." I breathed, leaning against the lockers biting my lip and reminiscing on all of the memories made. In my mind, it couldn’t get any better with Harry. Things were perfect, as always.
"Have you told him yet?"
My smile faded, Haley bringing my mind back to the thought I had thankfully pushed away from my mind for three days. It all came back instantly, my worrying beginning once again.
"I’m taking that as a no."
I looked at her, silently begging her to change the subject to something completely different. She obviously got the memo when she nodded her head and we began walking to class.
"So Niall has acted really weird all weekend. We met up at the Winthrop game and he was just super awkward around everyone, especially me. What do you think is wrong with him?"
"Hales, you should know that trying to figure out what he’s thinking is dangerous territory. One must never cross into the dark side that is Niall Horan’s mind."
She wasn’t amused, her face clearly showed just how concerned she was with Niall’s well-being. “Do you think he knows I’m into him?”
"Yeah, I do. And I think he’s into you too." I answered as Maia began walking our way with Ashton trailing behind her.
"Ooh, who’s into who?" She asked, her blue eyes alight with the swirl of new news. Maia always loved to hear about the latest drama, but managed to stay clear of it herself. She knew how to avoid rumors and clear her name before anything got started, which I admired.
"Haley likes Horan, he likes her."
"We don’t know that for sure." Haley interrupted.
"Are you kidding Hales? He’s totally into you." Maia flipped her blonde locks over her shoulder before reaching down and grabbing Ashton’s free hand. He walked awkwardly beside Maia, obviously wanting to be anywhere else but in the middle of a gossip session.
"Ashton! Go dress out, we’re going to the field first period." Harry shouted as he ran up to us, stopping beside me to throw an arm around my shoulder.
"You guys are going to the field already? You don’t have gym until third." I pointed out, knitting my eyebrows together in confusion.
"The big game is in four days babe, we need all the practice we can get. I’m sure Mrs. Baker understands if I miss French to prepare for the biggest game of my life."
I rolled my eyes knowing that he’d already charmed his way out of first and second period. He had a way with our female teachers, with a flash of his dimples, they became the biggest pushovers for him. He used his charm for evil.
“You know one day those dimples aren’t going to work and you’re actually going to have to do something you don’t want to do.”
The two of us had stopped walking as Haley and Maia continued gossiping on their way to class. I was leaning against the wall of lockers as Harry loomed over me, a hand resting just beside my head.
“The only thing I want right now, is you.” He smirked, pulling me closer to him with his free hand. “Come down to the field, skip first period. It is just study hall.”
“Harry, I don’t know. I really need to study.”
“Yeah, study me.”
Then the dimples appeared as he lowered his head to crash his lips with mine but I stopped him before he could get any closer. “Not here. Let’s go.”
“That’s my girl.” He chuckled, smacking my backside once again.
*
Our lips were attached in a rushed and heated kiss. Harry had me propped up against the cold metal underneath the bleachers, hands roaming wherever they could. All thoughts of getting caught were pushed from my mind when Harry broke from my lips to work down my neck. A soft moan was released from the back of my throat as he sucked on my sweet spot just at the base of my neck. Fingers were pressing into my back, beckoning me closer to him. My hands were tangled in his curls, tugging slightly making him groan.
"Alright, slow down there cowboy." I breathed, pushing him away gently. We couldn’t go any further, especially here, at school. So not romantic or ideal.
He huffed, poking out his bottom lip in a pout. I giggled pushing his plump lip back to it’s original spot before leaving a tender kiss on the corner of his mouth.
"Mm I love it when you kiss me like that." He mumbled, pulling my face back to his to continue our session.
The undeniable truth was that I loved kissing Harry. I could do it all day everyday if possible. Every kiss was different, but a good different. When our lips collided it was like the rest of the world would stop, and it was just us reveling in each other’s touch.
"Harry?"
"Hmm?" He mumbled against my lips.
"Harry, stop please. I need to ask you a serious question."
"What is it?"
"Do you think we’re going to be the same in college? I mean do you think we’re still going to be the way we are now?"
"I think so, yeah. I mean, college is much different, but nothing we can’t handle right?" He brushed a stray strand of hair from my face and tucked it behind my ear.
If only he knew how different it would be, how difficult it could possibly be for us to maintain a relationship when we were almost seven hours apart. There wouldn’t be the seeing each other everyday or usual Saturday night dates, we’d have to completely alter how we worked.
"Why are you so worried?" He asked, taking my hands in his.
I looked up at him, locking my eyes with his. “I just don’t want us to change. I like the way we are.”
"I like us too, very much. We’re going to be just fine, Tay, I promise."
"No matter what?"
"No matter what."

The conversation at the lunch table that day was all about the big game that would take place Friday night. We were playing our rival school in the big state championship. This was the biggest game of Harry’s high school soccer career and he was extremely nervous.
"So I went and scouted at the Eagles game last night and they’re looking good this year. They’re coming to win." Niall stated, looking slightly flustered.
"Yeah, with that new coach straight from London, they’re going to bring it." Harry interjected, picking at his lunch.
"But y’all are just as good, if not better. I’ve seen both teams play, it’ll be a close game, but I think y’all will pull it out like you always do."
Harry looked at me, smiling a bit, and I knew he appreciated the support and encouragement granting me a kiss on the cheek.
"I agree with Tay, you guys don’t really have anything to worry about. Just play like you know how." Haley voiced from in between Maia and Niall.
We eventually all drifted off into our own conversations, Harry seeming unusually quiet. I turned to him, worried by the look on his face.
"Haz, what’s wrong?"
"Huh? Oh, it’s nothing." He answered, turning his attention back to his tray of barely touched food.
"You’re lying."
He sighed, standing from his seat. “I just don’t want to be here anymore.”
"I’m coming with you."
"No, you should stay. I’m sure you want to anyways." He said pulling his keys from his pocket.
"No, I’m going with you. I want to."
*
"Baby, what’s wrong? You know you can tell me anything." I followed him into his kitchen where he sat on the counter, and stood in between his legs. "Tell me what’s wrong so I can fix it."
"It’s not something you can fix." His head was hung low, refusing to make eye contact with me.
"We can still talk about it." My hand affectionately pushed the curls that had fallen into his face, away from his forehead. He remained silent and I was beginning to worry that it was much more than the game that was bothering him. "Please."
I looked past him at the calendar, October 28.
"Harry, is this about your dad?"
He sniffled before burying his face in my neck and clinging to me for dear life. His body shook with sobs, making my own tears sting my eyes. Six years ago today, Harry’s father lost his battle to cancer. Harry hadn’t told me much about him, except that he was a good man and the best father and support system. He hadn’t told me any details except those.
He cried for a good while and I just stood there holding him, allowing him to let it all out. It took me a few minutes to realize that this was the first year that I’d been with him on this date; he didn’t want me to see him like this, he didn’t want to seem weak.
"I know baby, I know." My tears were freely falling now as I held him tightly. It was breaking my heart to see him in such a fragile state, I’d never seen him so broken before.
*
"Can you tell me about him?’
We had migrated to his bedroom, cuddled up in his bed. I laid on my back as his head was on my chest, holding onto me tightly. My hands ran through his hair continuously, knowing how much comfort it brought him.
"He was the best man I’ve ever known." He sniffled. "He always put others first, he was selfless. He’s my role model, always has been and always will be."
He sniffled again, and no more tears came thankfully. “I remember when I was six, he took me to my first soccer game. I remember being so excited to have a day alone with him. We wore matching jerseys and even painted our faces.” He stopped to let out a small chuckle, as I continued to run my fingers through his hair, pressing a kiss to his forehead. “From that day forward, I wanted nothing more than to play and make him proud.”
As he went on and on, reminiscing on memories of his father, ones he held near and dear to his heart, I laid there listening intently, occasionally dropping tender kisses to his head. He had never been so open with me in the four years of our relationship. I felt a connection with him on a whole new level.
"He sounds like an amazing person."
"He was, I miss him so much." He sniffled, "I wish he could be here to see me play."
"He’s always with you Haz, not necessarily physically, but he is in your heart. That’s all that matters."
The room fell silent, but it was comfortable. I continued to run one of my hands through Harry’s hair as my other stroked his cheek. All he needed was comfort right now, and that’s what I was going to give him. He needed someone who cared, someone who knew them inside and out.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"Just being you. I don’t know what I’d do without you, you know exactly what to say to make a bad day turn up. I just love you so much."
"I love you too, and I’m always here for you baby, always."

The mall was crowded with the usual housewives spending their husband’s money on stuff they probably already had in every color and style. The girls and I had made a trip in hopes to find a few good deals on some boots.
As we traveled from store to store, my mind kept drifting to the conversation Harry and I had the other day about his father. He had been so honest and open with me, making me feel even guiltier about my situation.
“Girls, I don’t know what to do.”
“About what?” Haley asked, looking around the display of assorted boots.
“The Vandy thing. Harry was so honest with me the other day, he opened up like never before and I feel obligated to do the same.”
“Then do it.” Maia interjected, pulling on a pair of tan leather combat booties. “I mean, if I was in your position, I would’ve told him right away.”
My face dropped, “Jeez, thanks Maia. You know exactly how to make me feel better.”
“I agree with Maia. You should’ve told him the day you found out instead of waiting so long. It’s not fair to either of you.” Haley commented, pulling a black pair of combat boots from the box and slipping them on.
“I know that I’m an idiot for not telling him right away, but that’s already said and done. It’s too late, I can’t go back. I just need to find a way to ease him into it, make it seem like a good idea to him too.”
“Good luck with that.”
“Okay, enough with all this depressing shit, guess who’s boyfriend found out they’re going to start in the big game!” Maia beamed proudly.
“Mine?” I asked sarcastically, quirking my eyebrow at the blonde.
“No, well yes! But I’m talking about Ashton! He’s gonna play!” She squealed, obviously extremely proud of Ashton. I had to admit, he’d improved over the last year and definitely earned his starting position in the game.
“Wow, way to go Ash.” Haley commented, setting the pair of boots she had previously tried on back into their box as her phone began ringing. She reached in her bag, digging around to find the phone.
“It’s Niall.” She murmured in disbelief.
I looked at Maia, we giggled like little school-girls, leaning in on either side of Haley trying to hear the conversation before she pushed us both away and answered the call.
“Hello?” She spoke casually, her eyes widening. “Uh huh, yeah.”
My anticipation peaked as a small smile crept across her face causing Maia and me to sit on the edge of our seats.
“Um, sure. Yeah, it’s a date.”
A date? Horan and Haley? Finally?
“Alright, see you in class. Bye” She hung up and returned her phone to her bag casually, before turning to us and cracking an undeniable smile. No matter how cool Haley tried to play herself off as, when it came to Niall, she was just as giddy and girly as I was. “Guess who has a date with Horan!”
“Finally!”

The smell of wet grass, popcorn, and testosterone engulfed my senses as I made my way into the stadium with my parents. All three sets of arms were holding blankets, the early-November night becoming colder by the second. The stands were already filled with fans waiting for the much-anticipated game to begin.
"Mom, at dinner tonight, please don’t say anything about Vandy okay? I want to tell him myself."
My mother looked over at me as I looped my arm through hers, “When are you going to? You’ve known for what? Two months now?”
I sighed, looking over on the field and immediately finding Harry and Niall leading the stretches. The only reason I’d kept it in this long was so he could focus on the game. “Soon, very soon. Just not tonight. It’s his night, not mine.”
She dropped the subject as we continued walking around the track to finally get to the bleachers. Harry’s mother, Anne stood from her usual place, waving us over to our saved seats. I was immediately brought into a warm hug as I came to the row, Anne had always loved me from the start, and I loved her. She was a second mother to me.
"Hi Anne, how are you?"
"I’m great darling, just a little chilly tonight! Hi Bethany, Lance." She greeted my parents giving them both a hug as usual and I slid back a row to sit with Haley and her parents. She was bundled from head to toe, looking like a burnt marshmallow in all black making me burst out laughing. "What happened to you?"
"You know my mother, ‘I deal with enough flu patients in the day I don’t need one to be my daughter’." She mocked in what she put out as her mother’s voice. I chuckled looking down the row to her parents.
"Hi Mrs. Naomi, hi Mr. Dan." They greeted me with their usual warm smiles, another set of parents that seemed to love me.
"You know what I don’t get about you Jackson?"
"And what is that miss Alexander?" I asked, situating myself in the blankets and adjusting Harry’s beloved burgundy beanie over my curled hair.
"Why parents love you so much, it’s not like you’re nice. You’re actually kind of a bitch."
I rolled my eyes, this bickering and insulting was normal between the two of us. Parents liked me and Haley didn’t understand why they didn’t like her as much and then she proceeds to call me a bitch. That’s how our friendship worked.
"Anyways, tonight is a big night for you miss thang. Got a date with Horan." I wriggled my eyebrows, looping my arm through hers to retain her warmth.
"Thanks Tay, I was just beginning to feel my nerves lessen."
"Oh come on Hales, when are you ever nervous? You’re miss confidence!"
"Not when it comes to Horan though. He brings it out in me and I don’t like it."
"But you like him, so that has to count for something."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I better be getting an immense amount of alcohol if you want that confidence to come back."
"Over here blondie!" Haley shouted to Maia, who was walking aimlessly up the stairs looking around for us. Maia always seemed lost, no matter if she actually was or not. She just had that expression on her face that screamed ‘Help me, I don’t know where the hell I am’.
"I swear, never again will I park at the bank."
"You parked at the bank? Why the hell would you do that?" Haley asked, leaning forward to look at Maia.
"Well Ashton isn’t a starter unlike Harry and my parents aren’t the number one band boosters here, so I don’t get a special reserved parking spot like you two princesses."
"Ashton will make his way up there, he is only a sophomore miss cougar."
"Can he even drive yet? Like is he legal?" Haley joked.
Maia had always had a thing for the younger guys, and we had always given her shit about it. All in good nature and fun of course.
"Oh shut up. Y’all just go off to college and go to college parties while you leave me here to rot." She whined, jutting her bottom lip out. Maia was only a junior, but only hung out with seniors. I’d known her nearly all my life, and never once considered her younger than I was, just in a different grade.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please stand for the raising of our Nation’s flag and the singing of our national anthem, performed by Rock Hill High School choir student, Curry Mitchell."
The crowd stood, men taking off their ball caps and placing them over their hearts as the American flag was raised and Curry sang his rendition of the Nation Anthem.
As soon as the song ended, I looked down at Harry, who was looking up at me with a wide smile motioning for me to come down quickly.
"I’ll be right back."
My boots padded down the bleachers and onto the track, back where Harry stood. He wore a smile, but his eyes were wide with anxiety and nerves. His hands were shaking as I took them into mine.
"Baby, breathe. You’re going to do amazing, just like always okay?"
He breathed in deeply, pulling me into his arms, hugging me tightly. “I love you, you know that right?”
"I do, and I love you too. I’ll see you on the turf when you score the winning goal. Go get ‘em Wildcat."
He pulled me into a quick, heated, and promising kiss.
"Styles, you’ll have time to kiss your girlfriend after the game! Now get your ass out on the field!"
I giggled pulling away and pecking his cheek one more time for good measures. “Good luck, I’ll be rooting for you.”
I squeezed the gold soccer cleat around my neck like I did every game, pressing my lips to it as I walked away never breaking eye contact with him.
When I made my way back to my spot, my mother and Anne were beaming. “Y’all are so cute!” They gushed, making it obvious that they’d witnessed mine and Harry’s interaction. I rolled my eyes and sat down in between Haley and Maia once again and cuddled into the warm blankets waiting on the much-anticipated game to start.
*
The clock was ticking closer and closer to the end of the game. The other team had put up a fair fight, causing a constant tie between both teams. Everyone was on the edge of their seat as the next play began. My heart was pounding as the ball was passed from Liam to Louis to Zayn to Harry. Harry dribbled the ball down the field, dodging people left and right locking his eyes on the goal. He was in the zone, he had his head in the game. I’d seen this look so many times, his determination was clearly evident on his face.
I grabbed Haley and Maia’s hands, clutching onto them tightly as the other team stole the ball back. My heart dropped, this couldn’t be happening.
"Come on Harry!" My dad shouted in encouragement. I wanted to cheer for him, but right now, I was far too nervous to speak.
Niall was shouting from his end of the field where he stood in front of the opposing teams goal, getting ready to block any shot taken at the goal. After what seemed like forever, Louis stole the ball back, immediately passing it to Harry close to the goal. Harry took no time to dodge around his opposer and kick the ball sending it flying into the goal, scoring the winning point.
"Oh my god! Oh my god!" We squealed, running down the bleachers. Harry was down on his knees in the grass pumping his fists in victory. The rest of the team piled on top of him in a dog pile in celebration of their big win. My legs were working in overdrive as I charged the field with the girls and the rest of the crowd, losing both of them along the way. My eyes found Harry’s immediately. He met me halfway as I jumped into his arms and wrapped my legs around his waist.
"Congratulations Wildcat!"
He pulled me into a passionate kiss, fueled with adrenaline from the big victory. My arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him tighter to me. “I’m so proud of you baby. So fucking proud.”
He put me down on the grass, still keeping his arms around me just as tight. Words could not describe how proud I was of Harry, he and the rest of the team had worked their asses off for this game, it was definitely a well-deserved win.
*
Harry finally emerged from the locker room freshly showered. I stood by his truck wrapped in my blankets waiting on him. He threw his bag in the back and pulled me into a bone-crushing hug.
"I love you." He mumbled into my hair.
"I love you so much and I’m so proud of you." I took his face in my hands, kissing his soft lips. "Your dad would have been too."
"Yeah, he would have wouldn’t he?" He asked, looking down at the ground, his voice thick with tears. Harry’s father was such a huge part of Harry’s career in soccer, he was the one who got him started and inspired him to pursue it. From what Harry had told me about him, they were extremely close and spent a ton of time together on and off the soccer field. It had been six years since Harry had lost him to cancer, but to Harry, I knew the cuts were still fresh.
"So, so proud. I bet he’s looking down at you right now saying, ‘Thats my boy, my son. I’m so proud of him’."
Harry took me into his arms again, burying his face into my neck. “Thank you.”
"For what?"
"For always being there for me and coming to my games. It means the world to me baby."
"There is no where that I’d rather be."
*
"There’s the man of the hour!" My dad shouted as Harry and I walked into banquet room of the restaurant where our families sat. I beamed up at Harry, squeezing his hand, leaning into his arm.
We sat down at the table next to each other, my dad and his step-dad firing off their reviews of the game, play by play as Harry listened intently, nodding his head in agreement to everything they said. Harry’s hand stayed on my leg, gripping my knee every once in a while.
"So Taylor, are you excited about college?"
Shit, I wasn’t expecting this topic to come up, especially from Anne. Thankfully, my mother kept her mouth shut and my father hadn’t heard a word.
"Um, yeah. Very."
"I know Harry is. He hasn’t stopped talking about it." She gushed, looking over to her son.
"Um, so have you heard about the early-bird sale tomorrow morning at Banana Republic? I was thinking about going, would you like to join?"
I sighed in relief, mouthing a thank-you to my mother, for she was a life saver.
*
After dinner was eaten and the checks were paid, we said goodbye to our parents and got ready for a night of celebrating at Niall’s.
When we arrived, there were already tons of people lining his driveway and the curb in front of his house. Unlike the frat party, I would be in full-party mode, completely forgetting about my awkwardness. These were the kinds of parties I loved, when I actually had a reason to go to one and celebrate something.
"Hey!" Niall cheered from the kitchen, red solo cup in hand as he sauntered over to us pulling us both into hugs.
"Horan, are you already tipsy?" I giggled, pushing him off of me.
"Me? No! Never! I’m just getting started!"
Niall walked away to go socialize some more, ending up next to Haley, hooking an arm around her neck, diving in for a kiss. My smile widened as I took in the scene, tugging on Harry’s sleeve to get his attention. He turned, catching the two in full on lip-lock.
"What do ya know? It only took a state championship and cheap liquor to make him do that."
I laughed, knowing Haley was loving it, and hopefully she would remember it in the morning.
*
After socializing, downing a few shots, and shooting the bull with a couple of his soccer buddies, Harry pulled me into the den where the music was blaring and people were grinding to the beat. Before I knew it, my back was to Harry’s chest, his arm wrapped around my waist as he began grinding his hips into mine. More people were beginning to file into the room, the space lessening, and Harry pulled me tighter to him. I laced my fingers through his hair at the nape of his neck, pulling his face down closer to me and tilting my head to the side giving him full access to my neck. He wasted no time in attacking the skin, nibbling and sucking everywhere he could reach. A moan slipped from my mouth before he turned me around, backing me into a dark corner of the house. My arms were wrapped around his neck, his around my waist, our mouths fervently attached. His tongue boldly entered my mouth, dancing it with mine. He ground his hips into mine one more time and I felt it, he was already hard. The thought instantly turned me on, and I wanted him badly.
Taking initiative, I pushed him away from me before grabbing his hand and leading him up the stairs. He pushed me into the first room we came to, and judging by the smell of sweat and cologne, I assumed it was Niall’s.
He had me up against the wall, our mouths constantly attached. The friction and want in between us was increasing rapidly. My neck was soon attacked again, and I knew there would be marks to find tomorrow but all I cared about in that moment was getting him inside me as soon as possible.
My hands pushed him onto the bed before I climbed on top of him, straddling his waist. I leaned down locking my lips with his deeply as I ground my hips into his feeling his hardened length. A throaty groan slipped from his mouth and into mine.
"I have a present for you." I whispered breathlessly, nibbling on his ear. I gave him no time to respond before I was sliding his shirt over his head and kissing my way down his toned torso stopping just as the waistband of his jeans.
The button of his jeans popped open with ease and I slid down his zipper painfully slow hoping it was torturing as much I wanted it to. He gave no response so I continued to pull the rough fabric down his long legs stopping at his knees. He was fully hard, his length restricted against the fabric of his boxers.
Gliding my tongue just above the waistband of his boxers, I ran my hands up and down the warm skin of his chest and stomach. One hand palmed him through his boxers while I climbed my way back up to his lips.
"Baby, please. I need you." He growled into my mouth.
With a seductive smile, I slid back down on my knees in front of him, pulling him to his feet. My hands hooked on the sides of his boxers, pulling them down with ease. His hard length slapped against his stomach before I took him in my hand and began pumping slowly.
His too was already oozing with pre-cum making me realize just how needy he was. I swirled my tongue once around his tip continuing to pump him at snail pace.
"Such a fucking tease." He groaned before I took him in my mouth. Throwing his head back, he tangled his hands in my hair as I hollowed my cheeks beginning to bob my head up and down his length.
My hands gripped the back of his thighs to give me leverage. His moans and groans filled the room, just the sound of them making me drip.
"Holy shit."
As I took more and more of him in my mouth, I felt his fingers tighten in my hair, an obvious sign that he was holding back from taking control.
I pulled back with a pop before hurriedly stripping myself from my clothes, leaving me in my bra and panties.
"Fuck." He groaned as his eyes landed on me, making me blush madly.
He gasped as I took him back into my mouth, pushing as much of him down my throat as I could handle. The bobbing began again and so did his constant string of moans and curses.
I felt him twitch inside my mouth before his warmth spilled down my throat, a long string of loud curses left his mouth in groans.
I was pulled back to my feet and pushed onto the bed.
"You are so fucking sexy baby." Lips connected with my neck, teeth biting harshly down. He pulled me up by my hand, reaching his arms around me and unclasping my bra, before throwing it to the ground with the rest of my discarded clothes.
His large hands cupped my breasts, kneading them before taking my left nipple in his mouth, swirling his tongue around the hardened nub repeating his actions on the other side. While one of his hands continued to knead my breast, the other slid down into my panties, feeling my heat.
"Who made you this wet baby?" He smirked, going in for my neck once again.
"You." Was all I could choke out as he entered one finger inside of me, pumping in and out. Before I knew it, a second, and then a third was added. His hand worked at a rapid pace, making me whimper from his pleasing touch. "I need more Harry, I need you inside me, now."
"Fuck." He muttered pulling his fingers out of me and ripping my panties down my legs. Just as I thought he was about to thrust into me, he stopped muttering a quiet, "Shit."
"What is it?" I asked, propping myself up on my elbows.
"I don’t have a condom. We used the last one the other night."
"Niall should have some. Look in his drawers."
Harry shuffled quickly through each drawer letting out a frustrated sigh, raking his hands through his hair, tugging.
"Damn it Horan." He groaned. "I’ll be right back."
*
Harry’s POV:
I quickly tugged up my jeans, not bothering with a shirt at this point. I was frustrated enough, my girl was upstairs waiting and dripping wet for me, I didn’t need not having a condom to stand in the way.
The party was still going on as I expected. No one noticed mine and Taylor’s absence, not that I particularly cared. All that I cared about right now was finding a condom and getting back to my girl.
I weaved my way through the tipsy party-goers, in hopes of finding Niall somewhere in the mix. If I could find Haley, Niall wouldn’t be far behind. My eyes scanned the kitchen, only finding Ashton and Maia shamelessly making out against the fridge. I moved on to the backyard, the early-November chill instantly making me regret the no shirt deal. All was forgotten when my eyes landed on the familiar head of blonde hair, his back facing me. I stalked my way over to where he and Haley, who looked deep in conversation, paying no attention to me.
"So Vandy is going to be amazing, I mean it’s in the middle of Nashville! Taylor and I have an amazing place, it’s going to be wicked!"
Wait, Taylor? What?
"Taylor’s going?" A girl from our chemistry class, named Emily asked.
"Oh yeah! She found out about two months ago! Surprise!" Haley slurred, giggling.
Suddenly, I didn’t feel the need for the condom anymore, the mood was completely changed.
I stalked back into the house and up the stairs, suddenly feeling completely sobered up. My hand found the door knob, opening it immediately and slamming the door behind me.
"Did you get one?" She was on the bed, under the sheet, completely naked, but it did nothing for me.
"When were you going to tell me?"
"What are you talking about?" She asked sitting up, not bothering to take the sheet with her.
My hands ran through my hair, tugging in frustration. “About Vandy Taylor. When were you going to tell me about Vandy?”
She stood suddenly, wrapping the sheet around her small body, holding a hand up to me. “Harry, how did you find out?”
"Well I sure as hell didn’t find out from you!"
"I was going to tell you, it just hasn’t been the right time!"
"You’ve known for two fucking months! How has one of those sixty something days, not been a good day? Huh? Were you just going to wait until moving day when we were supposed to be going to Winthrop TOGETHER?"
"No-"
"You lied to me!"
"No I didn’t!"
"Then what do you call giving me the impression that we were going to college together? Huh? Or telling me that you didn’t apply to any other schools?" My voice was raised, and I honestly didn’t care if I’d bothered anyone or not.
"Harry, please let me explain-"
I cut her off again, not even wanting to hear what she had to say. “I don’t want to hear it! You fucking lied to me! We’re supposed to go together maybe even live together. We’ve been planning this for a year! And you’re throwing us away!”
"Don’t you dare say that Harry!" She fired back, pointing her finger in my face. "You know how much Vandy means to me and my family."
"What about me? What about the guy you’ve spent four years of your life with? What about the guy that’s whole world revolves around you? What about me?" Unshed tears stung my eyes, but I willed them away. I didn’t want to seem weak to her, I couldn’t. She needed to know how furious I was. "You know what? I’m done."
"Harry, please, I’m sorry! Please don’t do this!" I shrugged off her hand, hearing her voice crack. My heart broke at the sound, but even further at the fact that she lied to my face for two months straight.
"I can’t trust you anymore."
I pulled on my shirt before exiting the room and barreling down the stairs to get to my truck as soon as possible. Not once, did I look back.
*
Taylor’s POV:
He left. After he’d yelled at me and told me he couldn’t trust me anymore, he left. My heart was broken, I was such an idiot for not telling him, for stringing him along just to tear him down. He didn’t deserve it, I should’ve told him the day I found out. I guess protecting him was the last thing I was doing.
I was sobbing into my hands, not knowing exactly how to process everything. Had he just broken up with me? I wasn’t sure, I just felt the need to cry. The guilt was consuming me completely, my heart breaking even further for Harry. I’d hurt him so badly and I wasn’t sure if there was anything that I could do to fix it.
Gathering my clothes, I continued to cry. My tears just kept falling and I felt pathetic, I was wallowing in self-pity. When I was fully dressed, the door opened. Niall stood in the doorway, looking flustered.
"What happened? Harry just left."
I whimpered, not able to get a word out, just more tears. Niall wrapped me in his arms and I buried my face into his shoulder, sobbing loudly.
"I’m" Hiccup. "Such" Hiccup. "A fucking" Hiccup. "Idiot." was all I could choke out as an explanation. My voice was gone, and so was my heart. Guilt was all I felt.
