My Secret Life
Chapter 6
(Claire/Cassie POV)
*Four days later*
My time with Liam was amazing. He was so sweet and I feel like he was everything wasn’t. Stop, I had to tell my mind yet again. I can’t have my thoughts go to that. I was just friends with Liam I don’t have any other type of feelings for him. We had planned to meet again and excited no matter what I tell myself. My friends were suspicious because I was always texting sometimes even when I was with them and I knew that they wanted to know who I was texting. I as the only one who was still in communication with even one person from One Direction because for them it was like a fans dream come true of just meeting them and the boys are smarter than giving to strangers and even Liam was hesitant to give me his number until I promised not to share it and gave him mine first. Harry was kind of the same but I guess he really wanted to meet me as Claire again. Little did they know I still had all their numbers on my new phone but I wasn’t planning on using them or telling them that.
The doorbell ringing brings me out of my thoughts. I go to the door and just as I’m about to open it flies open Sarah and Lila come in using the key I gave them. They both fly in and land on top of me. Slowly they get up and I stand up and shout “What is wrong with you I was about to open the door?”
“Sorry, you were taking too long and we had to tell you some important news,” Sarah says.
“We are going to a meet and greet for one of the best artists,” Lila continues.
“She hasn’t done one in forever but she apparently decided to do one and we all have tickets,” Sarah interjects.
“Who is so important that you are this excited?” I question. I am worried because the only artist I can think of that they would be this excited over and hasn’t done meet and greets in a while is Cassie Styles a.k.a. me. The only thing that puts me at ease is that I’m agreed to a meet and greet and my management hasn’t even asked me about one in a while. Don’t get me wrong I love my fans but in meet and greets if they come to close they might notice something or I might get a wig problem or they might know me as Claire notice similarities. Also my infinite love tattoo might be seen by the makeup being rubbed off. Anything could go wrong especially because they can ask any questions that they want too. Management has given up trying to convince me to da a meet and greet anyways so I am put to ease.
“Well it is coming up next Saturday because they sold them very last minute and only a few. It was really strange and we got really lucky to get these, and we can thank Sarah,” Lila explains.
“Who is it?” I question again.
“And if you have plans we don’t care your coming,” Sarah continues ignoring my question.
“WHO IS IT?” I shout getting annoyed.
“Well there are two artists but I personally don’t like the second one, even though they did release a song together recently, I believe that the first artist did a big mistake by doing that song with her but I guess she was mad at her brother and ex. I really hope she doesn’t get a bad reputation or anything for doing that,” Lila rants and this just completely confuses me. I guess Sarah understands though cause she agrees with Lila. I am now really frustrated with them for not telling me who we are meeting.
“TELL ME,” I shout getting their attention.
“We’ll tell you if you tell me who you are texting,” they respond. I know I can’t lie to them they know me to well now. I was going to tell them about my secret life because they have proved to be great friends and I now I need them in both my lives and I won’t have to face this alone. I was going to do it over a girl’s night the Monday after the release when I know that we are all free. I was going to call them and tell them that and I am going through with that plan. I am too busy with the release the days before it is a miracle that I even had time off today. Everyone wanted interviews or else there were photo shoots or just something to “make the music video more popular” as Riley (her manager) puts it. Luckily I get to do a lot of the things with Taylor so I’m not completely alone. Taylor and I aren’t really close friends but we are friends and she can be really sweet and fun to hang out with. Suddenly I remember that I was supposed to be at a meeting a half hour ago. My friends had completely made me forget. Oh well I am so late I know that it would probably be better to just skip it. Taylor can just fill me in if there is anything important. My friends already here so we might as well spend time together.
“Hey I just got some free time do you want to do something, and for the previous question I will tell you a lot of important things after the meet and greet of whoever you are taking me to. We’ll have a girl’s night at my house and everything I promise,” I say.
They agree but tell me that then ho we are meeting is a surprise. We than go out to see a movie and hang out today. I check my phone once and see it is dead which is probably why I didn’t get my reminder and forgot. I put it to charge and tell them that I don’t have my phone so I will stay with one of them in case I need a phone. I then change and get ready to leave. Once before I leave I check my phone which has just enough charge to turn on and see I have 10 texts from Riley, 1 text from Harry which I delete without checking, 17 from Liam, and 3 from Taylor. The ones from Liam start out with our usual conversations but get more frantic and worried after I don’t reply for a while. I just text him really quickly telling him that my phone was dead and that I’m going to be busy for a while. Then I check the texts from Taylor and decide to check the texts from Riley after I come back. Taylor’s text said that they really wanted to talk to me and had to tell me something important. She then said that I needed to know this information soon and that I have to hear it in person. I decided not to reply to her either and decided to just go out and have fun for now.
