♡ Chapter 14 ♡
~Audreys POV~
Why the fuck am I standing at Candi's door? I swore to god I wasn't going to be standing here for a while. But here I am. Knocking on her door probably pregnant with a stranger holding my hand. What the fuck have I gotten myself into ?
I try to act cool and calm, so Harry isn't suspicious. But just to my luck, when I'm nervous I sweat like a dog, and my face turns as red as a tomato. Ugh.
"Audrey, love, are you alright? You're looking a bit... sick." He said trying to find the right words.
He lifts his hand up to my forehead, "You're head isn't warm." He says with a confused expression on his face. I really wish my head was warm so we could leave. Why The fuck didn't I think of that 5 seconds ago?
"Im fine. Just a little nervous to meet your friends." I lie. Lying is one of my favorite hobbies. I'm an expert at it, and its always fun too see the look on their face while you say it. Pretty hilarious if you ask me.
"Alright." He shrugs. "But if there was something wrong, you would tell me. Right?" He asks me with a semi-worried look on his face. Now I feel genuinely bad for lying to him. That's saying something because I never feel bad when I lie... Hmm. I wonder if that means anything?
Nah.
"Of course." I reach down and hold his hand. With his index finger, he lifts my chin up so I am making direct eye-contact.
"Dont lie to me. Please." He said seriously afraid. I need to force myself to stop lying. It's just a bad habit. Like smoking. It's a hard habit to quit once your used to it.
"I pinky promise I won't lie to you." I stick my pinky figure out with a huge grin on my face.
"Pinky promise?" Harry says putting his pinky only centimeters away.
"I swear on... Candi's grave." I had to come up with something other then mom's grave. Because I really don't know if they're dead or not. And I'm not wanting to find out.
"Candy? That sounds a little to inviting.." Harry said chuckling. Candy does sound yummy right now.
"As in my friend Candi, you dork." I said punching his arm.
We turn back towards the door, and realize that we haven't rang the door bell or anything.
"May I have the honor of ringing the doorbell?" I ask doing a curtsey.
"Yes, ma'am." Harry replied back, bowing ever so politely.
"Thank you, Styles." I run up to the door and ring the doorbell, then run back into Harry's arms.
"You're acting like a kindergartener." Harry said frowning down at me.
"You act like a 19 year old. Now why are we pointing these out?" I ask trying not to burst into a fit of laughter.
"See. You're acting very immature." he says in a mocking kind of tone.
"Shut up." I snapped back crossing my arms across my chest. "Who's going to open the door?!" I get very impatient sometimes. But then I remember that Candi will be opening the door, so I decide It can take however long it wants.
"Liam probably. He usually does all the house work so he shouldn't be that busy." Harry replies trying to glance through the window for a chance of seeing someone.
"Oh." I said making an O shape with my lips. Well, Liam is better then Candy I guess. Hopefully.
I hear the locks to the door snap unlocked. A boy about the age of 20 steps out holding his wallet in one hand, not bothering to look up.
"So, how much will it be?" He lifts his head up and his draw drops. Wait, what? Did I miss something?
"What?" Harry and I say together in that same kinda rudish tone.
The boy just stands there. He seems shocked and surprised, but a little scared all at once. I wonder if Harry had told me the whole truth.. He wouldn't lie to me. Would he?
"Can we come in now?" Harry asks. I want to tell him I don't want to go inside, but I dont want to be rude.
All he does is nod.
"My name is Audrey btw. What is yours?" I ask every curious. I doubt he will even reply.
"L-Liam. Nice T-to meet y-you." He says stuttering a lot. I wonder if he is always like that? Eh. I'll ask Harry later.
Harry grabs my hand and pulls me inside of my own house. It feels... different. Not the same as when I was here last week. It's strange.
Liam follows quietly behind us. I can feel him staring directly at me, and I have to admit, it's starting to creep me out. Did I do something wrong?
"Take a picture. It lasts longer." I yell over my neck. I can feel his intense stare off me, and I start to relax a little more.
"Sit down here and make yourself at home." Harry says walking into the kitchen, out of our sight.
"We already ordered Nandos." Liam tried calling out to Harry, but I doubt he heard him. Liam is just so... Uh.. Quiet.
But I have to admit, I fall for the quiet type and to be honest, Liam's fairly attractive. I just hope I don't fall for him. I know I will. But when I do, I will be F.U.C.K.E.D.
