I walk out my room looking for my mom ... Oh wait looking for Sandra!

"Sandra?" "Sandra?" "Where are you at?"

I felt a tap on my shoulder. So I looked behind me and get punched.

Right in the nose.

I hold my face and burst out in tears. Why do I have to get treated my shit by my own mother!

"What was that for?" "For interrupting me when I was busy."

I fall to the ground screaming from the pain. I feel a tug on my arm. "Get your ass up and get to your room!"

I do as I was told , not wanting to be in the same room as that monster! I walk to the bathroom and grab a towel to stop all the bleeding. I got To my room and crawled on my bed crying myself to sleep.

~ Few days later..

*beep beep beep*

I flutter my eyes open trying to get my eyes adjusted to the brightness. I grab my phone and see all these texts I received all around 12 this morning.

I open my phone and the first text that's pops up is Maya's.

"Happy birthday to my bad ass adult now! My bitch is finally 18! #turndownforwhat? < lmao , but anyways today's your day bestfriend and don't Let anyone fuck it up except for you if you know what I mean. Oh shit.

Today is my birthday ! I totally forgot!

I replied to her message and got up. I opened the door and creeped out into the hallway to make sure "Sandra" wasn't home.

I peeked through her slightly opened door and she wasn't there.

Good.

That means she's out and probably wouldn't be home until later tonight. I jumped in joy.

Most kids would be sad that their parents aren't home to wish them a happy birthday, but me? I'm over excited. She would have made this day miserable for me.

I walked to the bathroom and cut the shower on. Before I stripped out my clothes, I just looked at myself in the mirror.


I looked hideous.

My nose was basically black and blue. I had scraps on the side of my face and I felt my skin breaking out.

I stripped out my clothes and headed in the shower.

The burning hot water felt so good on my body. The burning sensation sent waves through my body. It just felt so good. I can't explain it. I washed my body then started to wash my hair.

I jumped at the sound of Maya's voice. I peeked only my head out the shower Curtain.

"Don't you knock before entering someone's house?" "Bitch! Your not just someone! You my bitch!"

I went back into the shower to wash the soap out my hair. I grabbed my towel and exited out the shower. "Close your eyes Maya!"

She just laughed.

I started lotioning my body when Maya just sat on the toilet scrolling Through her phone. I finished and Walked into my room.

Maya followed I went into my draw.

"Great no panties or bras." I sat on the bed getting sad.

* I was coloring a picture I drew of me, my dad and mom. I had the best family. I dropped the blue crayon and picked up the red one. "I love my mommy , I love my daddy. "I know you been waiting to be a big girl and get a bedroom set, so I went out and bought you this tiny dresser." "Yay!!!" He took my hand. "Let's go put it together shall we?" We shall. We got upstairs and he started to put the pieces together. On the other hand ,I had to add the finishing touches to my drawing. "And.......... Done." I brought my work up for I could see it full view. "Daddy daddy look what I finished." He took it and stared intensively. "It's beautiful Lia! I love our family and you especially. Ill always be here for you. I promise." He kisses my forehead and I kiss his cheek. "I love you daddy." "I love you too sweetie."*

I tear rolled down my eye as I get lost in that wonderful memory.

Everything was so great.... So simple.

My mom never drank , did drugs. She actually loved me.



I miss those good times.



I see Maya walk out of the bathroom and I quickly wipe away the tear that rolled down my face.

"You okay li?" "Yeah I'm fine. Lemme get dressed."

She runs too me before I could open my closet.

"Uh uh. I need you too wear the dress we bought at the mall just a few days ago."

I was hesitant. "But don't you think that dress was just a little... You know...... Too much?"

She grabbed the bag with the dress and handed it too me.

"no! Nothing's too much for my bitches birthday!"


I walk into the bathroom and start to change. Maya peeked her head in the bathroom.

"And don't look at yourself in the Mirror until I'm done with all of your makeup and hair!"

I finish putting my outfit on and close my eyes while I walk pass the mirror to leave the bathroom.

I walked into my room where I find Maya on the phone with someone.

"Yeah okay..ill tell her." "Who was that?" "Oh just the person who's house this party later is gonna be at."

Oh.

Maya looked up from her phone and saw me. Standing there. I guess she tried to hide her expression. But she didn't do a good job at it.

"Alright now lets go to the bathroom to do your makeup and hair." She pulls me into the bathroom an makes me sit on the stool.

~1 hour later


"Are you done yet? It's been like a fucking hour!"

"We'll sorry for me having to hide that big ass bruise on your face!"

"Oh yeah.. Thanks..!"

"And......................... Done! Go look!"
