Remember Those Days?
Big Mistake
(Back to Abigail's POV)
I sat in my little concrete basement, fumbling with the torn bed sheet. Master hadn't come on the screen for two hours like he usually does. "Good afternoon, Abigail." I jumped up, startled. "Oops, didn't mean to scare you. Oh wait - yes I did." He cackled, spitting on the screen. I rolled my eyes in disgust.
"What will it take to get out of here?" I asked. He just laughed even harder.
"Oh, you poor little thing, you think you're getting out!! Haha! Not on my watch, sweetheart." He grinned, leaning in close to the screen.
I noticed something about the eyes... Was that.. mascara? And the way one eye is a deeper brown than the other...
"Eve!" I growled, making me even more mad. "How... what..... Why?!" I pondered, feeling tears gathering at my waterline.
"Oh, come on! You don't see it?" She asked, as if I didn't know the sky was blue. "Take a wild guess." I did, and nothing came to mind. Wait....
"It's because of Drew.. isn't it?" I guessed. "You think he likes me, don't you?" Eve hissed.
"Think? THINK!?! For God's sake, Abigail, you haven't seen it in him? The way he looks at you?! You must be blind!" She screeched, the voice editor thingy now gone. "After all these years, I finally have him all to myself, now that you're gone."
The monitor clicked off, leaving me speechless. It was about Drew? God, Abigail, you're so damn stupid! I picked up a metal bar I found on the ground, and tossed it at the wall. "YOU'RE SO STUPID!" I yelled at myself, sliding down the hard gray wall.
Just as I thought it was all over, I heard the sound of yelling, and doors slamming above me. I jumped onto the bed, and pounded on the ceiling with the metal bar. "HELP!! ANYBODY!!" I screamed. My arm eventually got tired, and I sat down. There's no hope, it's completely useless.
There was a fuzzy noise as the screen clicked on. "Hello again, my dear." Eve smirked. She had no hockey mas on, and there was a long, 5-inch scratch from her temple her jaw. "Look who I found."
She yanked something from off screen, and pulled it onscreen. "LOUIS!" I screamed, wanting to be out there. "Abigail!" He exclaimed, his eyes widening. His nose was running with blood, and there was a large gash on his shoulder. I yelled his name several times, crying and pounding on the wall.
In less than a minute, sirens were heard not far off, from where Eve and Louis were. Eve's head turned around. "Shit..." She muttered. A door burst open somewhere, and deep, male voices were screaming threats. Eve let go of Louis, who pressed a button, which opened a hidden door in the wall. I raced out of it, leading into a cellar-like room. Cops were everywhere, and Louis was nowhere to be seen.
"Abigail..." I heard a groan come from behind me. "Louis!" I squealed, rushing over to him. He was leaning against the wall, holding his shoulder.
"Abigail, I need you to get out of here..." He said between winces. I shook my head.
"Nonono, I'm not leaving without you." I said, taking off my jacket and putting it on the wound.
"Abigail... don't save me, just go. The cops will help me.." He insisted, starting to cry.
"No.. No! I'm staying right here! I'm not leaving you!" I cried, caressing his face. He grimaced in pain, but eventually calmed down.
"ALL CLEAR!" Somebody called. I smiled, a tear dropping to the floor.
"I would hug you right now, but I don't want to hurt - " Louis interrupted me by doing exactly what I thought he wouldn't do because of the wound. He hugged me.
"It's worth it." He laughed. I laughed too. I was safe. We were safe. And best of all?
We were back together.
