Remember Those Days?
Old Friends
I stared at the blank ceiling, laying in my panda bear pajamas. My blankets were in a messy pile at the end of my bed. Drew had already gotten up, and was watching the news downstairs. I don't know how long I was laying there, but I decided to get up. Drew was laying on the couch, his hair messed up. He looked over at me. "Where have you been?" He asked, trying to look mad. I looked down. "In bed.." I said quietly. Drew laughed. "You don't know how wrong that sounds - " "Yes, I do." I smiled as I crossed my arms.
"Aren't you gonna eat breakfast?" Drew asked as I sat down. "Nope. Not hungry." "Come onnnn," Drew protested. "You never eat!" "Never say never." I retorted. Drew rolled his eyes. "Eve and I are going shopping today. Wanna come?" He asked, not taking his eyes off of the screen. "Sure." I replied. "Great! She'll be here in 15 minutes." He said. My eyes widened. "DREW!!" I yelled, as I scampered out of the room.
I came back downstairs in a white camisole with a navy blue cardigan and jean capris, with studded ballet flats. My hair was brushed, and I don't wear makeup. I sighed. "3 minutes to spare." Drew stated, looking at me from the kitchen table. "I swear, that's a new record for me." I said, taking a seat at the table.
"So what are we gonna shop for?" I asked. Drew shrugged. "Stuff." I looked at him. "What kind of stuff?" I said, raising one eyebrow. He shrugged again. "Just stuff." I chuckled, and rolled my eyes. Drew's phone buzzed. He picked it up. "Eve says she'll be here in fifteen minutes.." He murmured. I stared at him. "You mean.. I just got dressed in 10 minutes for NOTHING!?!?" I shouted, looking shocked.
I couldn't help but smile. Drew threw his hands up in surrender. I laughed, and went upstairs to my room, and listened to music.
I woke up to the sound of a doorbell. That must be Eve, I thought. But it had only been 5 minutes... Huh. Cars today are so quick. I shut off my iPod, and got up. "HOLY SHIT, ABIGAIL GET DOWN HERE!" Drew exclaimed. I swung open my door and went down the stairs. I saw Drew, his jaw wide open. "What is it?" I turned to face the doorway. I froze.
One direction was standing at my front door.
"Ello, love." They greeted me. I noticed Louis stood perfectly still. Wait a minute...
"Abigail?" Louis asked. I nodded, slowly. Harry turned towards Louis. "Lou, do you know her?" He asked, looking confused.
Louis shook his head, and laughed. "I knew a girl in first grade who looked exactly like you, and the same name. Crazy, eh?" He smiled at me.
"Was her last name Ridgeford?" I asked. His grin turned to a flat line.
"You are Abigail, aren't you?"
There was a long pause. I made up an excuse to leave. "I have to go to the loo," I said, and walked away as quickly as I could.
