Chapter 39
~ Capri's POV ~
My eyes fluttered open and I suddenly realized I was going home today. I looked to my left and saw my little Darcy sleeping so soundly in her little crib.
The door creeped open, and my fiancé came into view.
"Hey, your awake. How are you feeling?" He sat down on the chair next to the bed and kissed my hand.
"Fine. Happy." He smiled.
"There.... there's one more person here to see you and the baby." I nodded and He got up and opened the door for someone to come in. I gasped the person stepped into the room.
"Jade." I whispered. She smiled at me and stepped forward.
"Get out." I demanded. She stepped back and put her hands up in surrender.
"I am only here to talk. I need to apologize." I scoffed and gave her an angry look.
"Go ahead. But your not touching my daughter." I snap. She nods.
"Fair enough." She sat in the seat by the bed and Harry waves me bye before stepping out.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. I just got jealous I guess..." I cocked an eyebrow.
"You were jealous? So you accused me of trapping Harry with a baby, because you were jealous." She nods her head.
"You and Harry have such a strong relationship. And I should have never of been a bitch to you. I know I don't deserve it. But would you forgive me?"
"Duuhh. Your my best friend, and people make mistakes. So why shouldn't I give you another chance right?" She let out a sigh relief and pulled me into a hug.
"I love you, your amazing! I can't believe you just forgave me!" She said.
"I love you too" I smiled. It was good to have her back.
I heard Darcy shuffle around, then she began to whale.
"Aww, bubba come here." I say. I get out of bed, and no longer have thy burning in my lower half. I actually feel normal.
I scoop up my baby, and place a kiss on her little forehead.
"Oh, my god. She's a tiny little Capri!" Jade exclaims. I smile and take my seat back on the bed.
"She both of us. She's amazing." I smile just looking at her.
"What's her name?" She asks stroking the pad of hair on her head.
"Darcy Anne Styles" I reply. She smiles and I can tell she is overwhelmed.
"Is everything okay in here?" Harry asks walking through the door with two cups of coffee. God bless him.
"Yes, look, bubba's awake." He sets the coffee down on the table and takes her from my arms.
"Is that coffee for me?" I ask pointing to it.
"Well, since you haven't had some in 9 months, I figured you would really like a cup" I smiled and took one off the table.
I sipped it slowly, enjoying the taste of coffee. It was awesome.
"so, you two good?" He asks. I nod and kiss his cheek.
"Can I hold her?" Jade, whispers in my ear. I nod and tap Harry on the arm.
"Jade would like to hold Darcy. Is that okay." He nods and hands the child to her. She starts playing with her fingers and talks to my little baby when Harry sits next to me on the bed.
"So, how long do You stay for?" I ask. He sighs and kisses my cheek.
"A day. And the doctor said you can leave whenever." I nod and hold his hand.
"Then lets leave right now."
"Bub, will you please stop crying for mommy?" I plead as I hold Darcy in my arms. She begins to calm down at my words. Thank god. I lay her down in her crib and dim the lights in the nursery. I close the door and walk into the room with Harry.
"Love, I think you need some sleep." He says as he lays in bed.
"I know." I remove my clothes and replace them with one of Harrys t-shirts. I slip under the blankets and snuggle Harry.
"I love you." He whispers.
"I love you too" with that I doze off into a much needed sleep.
I wake up to Darcy crying. Uugghh. I can't get up. She needs to learn to solve her own problems. Even though she is only three days old.
"I got her." Harry says while stepping out of bed. I grab his wrist.
"Babe, she'll never learn." I say. He sighs and starts walking again.
"Harry, no."
"I'm only using the bathroom. I nod and fall back on my stomach. The baby monitor goes silent and I smile. Soon after I hear Harry softly singing to her.
"isn't she lovely? Isn't she wonderful? Isn't she precious, less than one minute old. I never thought the love we be, make one as lovely as she. Isn't she lovely Made from love?"
I sigh, then smile to myself. What a softie. He comes back into the room and climbs into bed.
"You, know I have the baby monitor right?" I ask.
"Oh. well I can't stand to see her sad. I'm sorry baby." He apologizes.
"Hun, it's two in the morning. I don't have time to argue. And yes that was beautiful. You are a wonderful father." I say kissing his cheek.
"You are a wonderful mother"
