Chapter 2 - Ellie Edwards
14 years later
“Ellie, I am not going to shout for you again. Next time I will come with a glass of water” I shoot up getting out of bed
“I’M UP, I’M UP” I shout running into the kitchen where my mum was cooking breakfast
“Good, now get out of your pyjamas and get dressed” my mum says cooking some bacon
“Fine” I say annoyed. I walk into my wardrobe and look at my selection of clothes
Wait, sorry I forgot to introduce myself. I am Ellie Edwards, 14 years old and daughter of Perrie Edwards. I don’t have a dad; I mean I do have a dad but I don’t know him. My mum told me he died when I was born and that is all I know
I finally pick my outfit then get changed putting on some mascara and lip gloss. I grab my phone then walk back into the kitchen
“What are we doing today” I ask mum taking a bite of my toast
“I am going to work while you are going to Uncle Louis and Aunt Eleanor’s house” mum says washing the dishes
“Why are you going to work” I ask
“Because me and Aunt Jade have a meeting about boring things. Anyway Harriet is there”
“Fine, I will put some things in my bag” I leave the table and go back to my room. I grab my bag then put my headphones, IPod, my favourite book; City of Bones and my kindle
I zip it up and put the rucksack on my shoulders
“Are you ready” mum asks in the living room
“Yeah” we walk out of the apartment complex then to our car. We get in and mum starts the engine. We drive off to Uncle Louis and Aunt Eleanor’s house
We arrive at the house and get out. I open the door into the hallway and suddenly Hannah comes in walking while holding the staircase. I pick her up smiling
“Hey Hannah” I say bobbing her up and down
“Ellie” she replies smiling
“Hey Ellie” I look up and see Uncle Louis by the living room door
“Hey Uncle Louis” I say smiling
“Thanks for looking after her Lou” mum says
“It’s OK. Ellie, Harriet is upstairs” I slowly put Hannah on the floor; she walks over to Uncle Louis who picks up. I run up the stairs and to Harriet’s room
As I walk in I see Harriet on her bed on her phone
“Hey Hare” that is my nickname for her
“Hey El” ditto “Did you see John Frankson’s new photoshoot. He has a v line, I thought I was going to die” I smile sitting on her bed
“Same but Sam Weston was so cute as well” I say squealing
“I wish I had a boyfriend like that” Harriet flops onto her bed sighing
“Never in your wildest dreams” I say laughing. Harriet grabs her pillow and chucks it at me. I fall off the bed and onto the floor
“Thanks” I say sitting up
“You deserved it” Harriet says propping her pillow onto her bed. I sit on my bed laughing
“GIRLS, DINNER” Aunt Eleanor shouts
“COMING MUM” Harriet shouts back. We walk out of Harriet’s room, downstairs and into the kitchen
“Hey Aunt Eleanor” I say walking into the kitchen with Harriet
“Hey Ellie, sit down at the island” we do so and then Allie comes in. Allie is Harriet’s 10 year old sister
“Hey Allie” I say smiling. Harry smiles back and sits next to me
“Hey El” Allie replies. Aunt Eleanor brings three plates with ham salad sandwiches and crisps on each one. I take a bite then suddenly I hear the door open and close
“Louis, where are you mate” I hear a stranger’s voice. Eleanor looks shocked as I hear footsteps coming to the kitchen. I look at the door and see a man come in. He is in his 30s, has tanned skin and a short beard
“Hey El, where is Louis and who is this” he asks smiling
“She is...”
“I’m Ellie Edwards. My mum Perrie is friends with the family” I say smiling at him
“Perrie Edwards...you are Perrie Edward’s daughter” he asks shocked
“Yeah, who are you” I ask
“Zayn Malik, I know your mum before you were born”
