Everyone had piled into the van, and Niall was carrying a sleeping Lux.
I climb into the van and Louis sits beside me, hand on my leg.

“What’s this?” My mother looks at us questioningly.

“Um, Louis and I, we um…” I try to explain to my mother that I’m dating one of her ‘clients’.
Louis helps me out. “Lou, I think your daughter is a wonderful girl and I love spending time with her. We’re just exploring, seeing where things are going because we both like each other.”

My mother nods, slowly taking it in. “Well, as long as it doesn’t come between work.”

I roll my eyes. Of course that’s all she thinks about.
With everyone loaded into the van, we head off back to the hotel.

Safely indoors without another attack from fans, I sigh as I wait for the lift, Niall beside me with Lux in his arms.

“She really is beautiful.” Niall says as he brushes her face gently.
“She is.” I smile at him.

All the others have decided to take a night-time swim in the hotel pool, but I declined, knowing I needed to take Lux to bed, and Niall offered to take Lux up, then go back down for a swim.

“So you and Louis, huh?”
“Yeah.”
“I’m happy for you both.”
“Thanks.”

The lift comes and the conversation ends there.
We walk to my apartment in an awkward drone of silence until we reach my door.

“Well, here you go.” Niall places Lux in my arms as best he could.
“Thank you for everything tonight.”
“My pleasure.” He pulls me into a soft hug, making sure not to wake Lux.
“Well, have fun.” I poke as I open my door.
Niall laughs. “Sure will.”

I enter my room and strip Lux to her surprisingly still fresh nappy.
I pull her pj’s over her head as she stirs restlessly.

“Shhh.” I pat her bottom.

She rolls over onto her tummy, making herself comfortable but making it harder for me to dress her.
When I finally have her pj’s on, I lift her into her crib with ease and snuggle her into her blanket.
She’s out like a light in a matter of seconds.

I sigh.

I didn’t think these guys had a nice bone in their body, but tonight I came to realise that they actually have a fair few.

Liam and Niall, especially Niall just then, were boys I’ve never seen before.
I slide out of my dress and curl up in bed in my undies and bra, having all the lights turned out.

Am I now really Louis’ girl?
