Louis leads me onto the dance floor, and when he comes to a halt, he plants his hand around my waist and pulls me into him.
I position my hands around his neck and let him sway me back and forth gently.

“Why are you so hidden?’ He asks me, our faces close.
I look down and laugh slightly. “I don’t know what you mean.”
“Why don’t you want to associate with us? I mean, other than Harry, were good guys.”
“I know. I just feel like the band has stolen Lux’s mom. I mean, I don’t mind taking care of her, I love her to death, but she needs a proper mother.”

Louis pushes a stray hair behind my ear and smiles. “She’s just trying to do her job. I know she’s not being a good mother, and I know that’s wrong, but I think she’s just trying to impress. I mean, you’re doing the best that you can, and even if your mother isn’t, at least you give a shit about that little girl. And she’s always going to be grateful to you for that. It really doesn’t matter if your mother is who she is, all that matters is that you raise that beautiful baby to be a strong, wonderful girl. Someone like you, Shelby.”

I’m stand in Louis’ arms, unsure of what to say. I’m completely gobsmacked. But now I know, I can’t hide my feelings anymore. I can’t hide my emotions away.

I kiss Louis.
I know that Louis is kissing me back when he doesn’t pull away. He tightens his grip around my waist and pulls my closer.
I pull away and brush my lips against his, a smile growing on my face.
“I can help you.” He whispers.

“I can’t thank you enough. You’ve lifted my soul from a dark place I don’t want to go to ever again.” I say as I nestle my head into his neck.
I breathe in his cologne as he kisses me on the head.
We sway in time to the music and it feels so right being in Louis’ arms.

The song comes to a slow halt, and Louis and I let go of each other and applaud the band.
“I should check on Lux.” I smiles and walk over to our table.
Louis walks beside me and slips his hand in mine.
“What if they see?” I ask him.
“It doesn’t matter. Does it?”
“I’m happy for them to see.” I grin.

Lux is chewing on a laughing Niall’s finger.
“How are things?” Liam queries, glancing down at our hands.
“Great.” Louis beams.
“Well, I’m glad.”He winks at Louis like he knows what’s been going on.

Do guys talk about girls? Has Louis been talking to his mates about his feelings for me?

“Yeah, good job!” Niall says.
“We haven’t spoken much, but we’re happy for you. I hope we can get to know each other more now.” Liam smiles, as Niall agrees. “Zayn would agree too, but he’s off with someone.”
I nod and smile. “Thanks.”
Louis squeezes my hand and lets out a cheery laugh.
