Falling For The Stranger
Chapter One
I'm on the plane and I am going to back to London. I was born in Portland, Oregon USA, but
I moved to London for college soccer. I went to America to go visit my family for the week.
Today was my boyfriend Terri's birthday. I was starting to think of a plan so I could go
surprise him. He would be so thrilled to see me! It's an 18 hour flight to London and I've
already been on the plan for 5 hours. I decide to go to sleep I don't get jetlag. As I fall asleep,
I imagine how it will all play out. My mind goes completely blank for the time I am asleep, no
dreams. Nothing at all. "We will be landing in ten minutes" I hear the intercom say. As I wake
up, I feel well rested. As the plane lands, I finish figuring out hot to surprise Terri. After I
leave the airport, I will go get the guitar I was going to get him from my house than I will walk
to his house and surprise him with it. On the way home, I can't help but smiling at the plan.
Terri will love me forever! I reach home and pay the taxi driver. I walk into the house quickly
drop off my bags and pick up the wrapped guitar. I leave the house with the guitar in my
arms. I am about a block away from Terri's house when it starts to rain. I walk down his
neighborhood until I get to his house. All the lights are off, except for his room light. I go to
the window of his room and look in. He is laying in bed, but somebody is there with him. I
look closer and Terri has his arms around another girl! At first I though I got the wrong
addressee and it was just somebody that looked like Terri. But than he looks out the window
and sees me. He jumps out of bed and runs out of the room. I hear the front door open and
Terri comes out. "It's not what it looks like Renee!" Terri says calmly. I say back to him trying
to say calm but with a slight tone "We're over." The rain starts to get heavier. I turn around
and start running as fast as I can away from his house. I still have the wrapped guitar in my
hand. I forgot to bring a jacket so I look down as I am running to avoid my face getting wet.
The rain is cold and keeps coming down harder every second. The next thing I know is I slip
on the slip concrete. I embrace my self for the impact of the fall. But I never hit the ground.
Instead, I fall into the arms of a stranger. I don't bother looking up because I know my
mascara is all down my face from my tears. "Are you ok?" a sweet Irish accent says softly
