I was listening to the song 'Iris' By the GooGoo Dolls. I thought this song explained me perfectly. I looked over at Lilly who was sleeping soundly, with her mouth slightly open making soft snores. I looked around the plane. I must say, there are some interesting people in this world.
"2 hours until Los Angeles" I sighed. Why does London have to be so far away from the US. As my song ended, I realized I only had a few songs left. I had a few songs on my iPod which reminded me of my mom, and those last three songs were exactly them. I honestly didn't want to hear them, but whenever I thought of her it made me happy. As the tracks played, I fell asleep
A deep, deep sleep.

I can't quite remember how my dream went. All it was were crystal green eyes. Like my moms. They were blinking every few seconds. Then I heard a
electrocardiogram go flat, and whenever I heard that I bursted out of my sleep thinking of that night..

( FlashBack: 5 years ago.. )

My dad and I were sitting on the couch watching the news. My newborn baby brother was sitting on my fathers lap laying there asleep, while Lilly was upstairs playing with her barbies.

ring ring

The phone rang, catching my Dad and I's attention. My mom was at work a little late tonight. I wondered why..
My dad picked up the phone saying hello in a cheery tone with a big smile plastered on his face, which quickly faded as he went on with the call. "Yes, We'll be there shortly. Goodbye"

I stood there with my brother in my arms. "Daddy? What's wrong?" I asked. "Sweetie, go get your sister and get in the car. I'll be out there in a second".

I did as I was told, not asking a another question. My dad got in the car shaking like a mad man. I could tell he was worried about something, he couldn't even put the keys in the ignition.

I realized where we were going.. The hospital..

I stood there with one single tear running down my cheek. My mom was there laying down in the bed. Lifeless. She had some heart problems a few years ago, and I thought they would go away as time went on, but I was wrong. My dad was on the floor, kneeling on the bed holding her hand. Then I heard the beeping stop and go flat.

I ran. As fast as I could, never stopping never looking back. I just broke, I was never the same.

Ever.
