Hidden Lies (MAJOR EDITING)
you're always late.
Tiffany’s P.O.V
“Wake up!” I heard a voice say as a pillow hit me in the head.
I moaned. “Go away Steph!”
“We have class in 10 minutes!” She replied.
I jolted up. “What?! Why didn’t you wake me earlier?” I yelled.
“I tried, you reacted the same, except you’d groan and whine ‘5 more minutes...’!” She laughed at me.
I groaned and rolled out of bed in a daze.
This is how most of my morning’s started. My dorm partner would wake me up, most of the time 10 minutes before class started, and I would rush around and get ready, but still be late for my class. There’d also be a bonus! I’d look like crap…
I’d moved here, to the College of Cambridge, England from Shelby, Indiana, which is actually in the United States 2 years ago. I moved on campus straight away, and that’s where I met Steph.
“You better hurry.” Steph said, leaning on the door frame impatiently as I slipped on my crinkled uniform and ran to the bathroom to do my hair.
I pulled my hair up into a messy bun and ruggedly brushed my teeth. "How are you able to get ready so fast?!" I questioned her.
"It's a small thing called organisation Tiff." Steph laughed at me. "You should use it sometime, I think it'd help you out a lot."
“Shut up.” I said bluntly, my mouth half full of toothpaste. I spat, rinsed my mouth, and came back into our bedroom, grabbing my school bag on the way.
“That's a bit rude.” She laughed.
"You're a bit rude."
"Sometimes I don't understand why I don't just leave without you in the mornings..."
"Because you love me, and you don't want me to get in to trouble." I smiled really big and cheesy at her, which made me giggle.
"You know me so well."
We headed out the door in a rush, and down the corridor, out of the campus building, and towards the school blocks.
Being out in the cold air of England really was a way to wake up in the morning. We trudged down the gravel road towards the school blocks.
"Excited to see your boyfriend?" Steph mocked as we balanced on the gutters lining the road.
"At least I have one!"
"HEY! I could have a boyfriend, I just choose not too..."
Even though she was stunning, Steph was one of those goodie-goodies. Always nice, always in before curfew, always has complete homework, always organised. Not many boys around here go for that unless they're in chess club and have the nickname 'four-eyes'.
Me on the other hand... I was a scruffy looking girl, never on time and always getting C grades. We were a mismatch, but we were best friends. We complimented each other, one of us had something the other didn't, and that's how we worked.
We came to the doors of the school blocks and I took a heavy sigh. "Yet another day at hell." I over dramatically groaned and heaved on the door as if it was 10 tonnes heavier than it really was.
"Oh get over yourself." Steph pounded me, pulling the door open with one hand.
Liam’s P.O.V
It was silent in the room. Mr Grevstock was sitting on the side, watching the click-view he’d put up on the smart board. The room was dark; the lights were out, and that's when Steph and Tiff burst into the room.
“Sorry I’m late Sir.” Steph puffed when they burst in the room. "I was waiting for Tiffany."
Everyone turned to face the door.
Tiff nudged Steph violently in the arm.
“Sorry WE’RE late.” Steph corrected herself, rubbing her arm. "WE were getting ready."
“Don’t bother with apologizes, Stephanie. I can accept yours, but on the other hand Mrs Tiffany. You’re late every-day. I would think you'd treat a friend kinder than that, and at least let her be on time to class."
"Yeah Sir. Totally, my mistake. It will NEVER happen again." Tiffany rolled her eyes.
I laughed under my breath. That's my girl...
Just sit down.” He said directly, anger in his voice.
Steph and Tiffany walked in, Tiffany sitting next to me, Steph beside her.
“Hey beautiful.” I whispered.
She smiled and blished slightly. “Hey babes.”
I leaned in, and she pecked me on the lips gently.
She slid her hand under the desk and gripped my hand, sliding her fingers through mine gently. I squeezed her hand and she squeezed mine back.
“You two are so adorable.” Steph awed.
“Oh shut up Steph.” Tiff nudged her. "You're always so gooey."
I leaned over the desk, lifting Tiff and my hand up and resting it on the table top. I kissed her hand romantically, making Tiffany giggle.
“You three. SHOOSH.” Mr Grevstock yelled suddenly in our direction. "And Liam and Tiffany, hands off in the classroom. You know that nonsense is not allowed."
Tiff and I quickly pulled each-others hand away and I gave her a sheepish look. We knew that Mr Grevstock would make sexual harrassment reports if we didn't leave each other alone, all because he was a lonely old bastard who knew nothing about love.
Tiffany’s P.O.V
I pulled my hand from Liam’s and stuck it in my pocket. It was a bit sweaty, but it went cold and clammy once it was separate from his.
Instead of talking, we sat back and watched the click-view. I knew Mr Grevstock would be watching us all like a hawk.
Finally, after watching tons of irrelevant scientific things I didn't understand, the bell rang. Steph, Liam and I got up from our chairs and rushed out of the classroom before we recieved yet another lecture from the teacher.
“Mr Grevstock can suck me right off.” Liam said when we got out, sighing from relief.
“He needs it.” Steph said, then covered her mouth. "Oops, sorry."
Steph had a massive respect issue and always had a sudden rush of guilt when she'd even slightly offended somebody.
I laughed as we headed out of the block, and into another.
“I go this way.” Liam said, turning to face me.
“I go this way.” I replied, pointing in the other direction.
“See you later then.” He smiled, than leaned in.
I grabbed his perfect face and planted a large kiss on his lips.
“Love you.” I smiled, inches from his face.
“Love you more.” He grinned back.
I laughed as Steph and I turned away, and she grabbed my hand playfully. "You guys are so so cute!"
It seemed true, Liam and I were a power couple. Had been, and hopefully always will be...
