I looked in the mirror, and cried. I hated the way I looked. I had a massive nose, thin lips and ugly brown eyes. My knees weakened and I sank to the floor. I'm so done with...life. Hesitantly, I walked into the bathroom. I pulled open a draw that contained a blade. I dragged it across my thighs numerous times. The blood poured out of my fresh wounds, bringing a sick smile to my face.
I heard the door close down stairs. "Shit!" I thought cleaning up the bloody floor. I locked the bathroom door and quickly dressed the cuts. "Babe?!" Liam's low accent called from the stairs. "I'll be down in a sec." My weak nasal voice shouted back. I diligently wiped my eyes and put a fake smile on my face
. I walked down stairs and ran into Liam's arms. "I missed you so much." he whispered. "I missed you too, Li" I responded. Liam broke the hug and held up a box, "I have a gift for you!" I smiled as he lead me over to the couch. He handed me the box, "Open it." I carefully opened the box and pulled out a lovely pink dress. "Oh Liam! it's beautiful!" I said running my hand over the delicate lace.
"I made reservations at Swiss. I was hoping to take you out on a date?" Liam said eagerly.
"Of course! Let me go change!" I said running up the stairs. I ran back into the bathroom and tried on the dress. It was magnificent; although a few wounds escaped the hem of the dress. I put a thick layer of foundation over the cuts. 'It'll have to do' I thought. I grabbed my favorite pair if black heels and ran down stairs.
Liam was relaxing on the couch scrolling through his phone. He jumped of the couch when he heard heels clicking on the hardwood floors. "You look amazing." He said, snaking his hands around my waist. "Thank you!" I blushed, tenderly kissing him.
*at swiss*
"How was the tour?" I asked eagerly.
"It was amazing! But I hated being away from you." He said placing his hand on top of mine.
"I love you, Liam." I said gazing into his warm brown eyes.
"Here's your dinner." the snobby blonde waitress said placing a salad in front if me and a bowl of pasta in front of Liam.
"Thanks." I smiled. She nodded walking off.
"I love you, too." He said swirling spaghetti around his fork.
"How are the lads?" I asked.
"Um, they're good." He replied, "Niall got a lot of hate at one of our concerts, it really diminished his confidence."
"Poor Niall." I sighed, "He such a great guy. He doesn't deserve all this hate."
"I know!" Liam agreed, "How have you been?"
"I've been...okay." I said nervously.
"Just okay?" He replied sensing something was wrong.
"Uh, we can discuss this later, okay?" He nodded continuing small talk through out dinner.
When we arrived home I quickly showered and changed into my pjs. I walked to Liam sadly. I figured I should tell him. I loved Liam, and I wanted to pull myself out of this hole and I was confident he could help me. "Uh, Liam?" "Yeah?" He said flicking the TV off. "I have to tell you something." I said breaking down in tears.
"What's wrong love?" he replied concerned. I pushed my sweatpants down, revealing numerous wounds. he ran to my side and fell to the ground. "Why?" he cried.
"The hate." I whispered through sobs.
"It's all my fault." he said pulling me closer.
"No it's not! I-I just didn't know how to deal with it. Its my fault. I made a stupid mistake." I said wiping the tears off his face, "Do you still love me?"
"Of course I do!" He responded, "I love you more than you'll ever know. I promise you we will get through this...together."
