RAI’S P.O.V-


Louis is sitting in a cushioned chair not far from me. He smiles, getting up from the seat, and begins wheeling me back to my room. I hated being in a wheelchair, I wanted to just stand up once again and walk. Once Louis got me to my room, he began to wheel me towards my bed.

“No. Stop.” I demand.

Louis halts the wheelchair to a stop. I swirl my finger in a circular motion, telling him to turn me around. He seemed confused at first, but then he got the idea. I wasn’t really in a mood to talk, so I just planned on making motions. Louis wheeled me back out of the room and stopped.

“Where do you want to go Rai?” He asks.

I point towards the Starbucks at the front of the hospital. He nods and chuckles, beginning to wheel me to the coffee shop. He pushes me inside and seats me in one of the chairs near the glass, looking out at the depressing hospital hall. After a few minutes, Louis comes back with a coffee and strawberry and cream smoothie. I smile, Louis knowing exactly what I wanted. I wasn’t much of a coffee drinker, so I usually got a smoothie. I could stand Iced Coffee, but just barely. Louis sat down next to me and handed me my drink. I used my good hand to hold the drink, and took slow sips. I wanted to savor the drink as much as possible. I know I said I wasn’t going to talk, but right at that moment a question I had been dying to ask Louis popped into my head.

“Louis, why did you stay with me and Niall? I know management wasn’t okay with you staying, they wouldn’t be since you have an album now coming out later than planned, your fans are going to be upset, and the boys are probably getting anxious….”

Louis looked up at me, surprised I had asked that question. He acted as if he had been trying to avoid that question, but now he had to answer it. He thought for a couple minutes, probably trying to word everything out perfectly.

“I know Niall could perfectly well take care of himself, but I wanted to stay, because I wanted to be with you.” Louis mutters. Bingo that was the answer I was waiting for.

I took a deep breath and looked at Louis. Easily, I could tell he regretted what he admitted.

“You know that Niall and I are married. I know Emily left and you guys broke up, but why did you have to come to me exactly? I don’t mean to sound rude, but I can’t go through any more drama Louis. I seriously can’t.” I respond.

Louis nods and looks down. I tried to make this not as sad as it would sound, but I couldn’t. I tried to cheer Louis up, but he didn’t seem to cheer up at all.

“If you don’t want me here anymore, I’ll just go back to London. Goodbye Rai.” Louis stands up without another word and walks out of the Starbucks. I watch him approach the hospital doors and leave. I screwed up big time I know I did, but I wasn’t going to risk losing Niall again. And I definitely wasn’t going to risk going through more drama. I was tired of it. I decided to stay in the Starbucks and take it easy for the rest of the day. The TV in the coffee shop was on, and it was channeled on some drama show. A lady on the show talked about me being in the hospital. She also added that One Direction’s album was falling behind schedule due to Louis staying with me and Niall.

After another two days of visits to Niall, trying to call Louis, and doctors raining over me, I was finally released from the hospital. My left arm was still in a cast, along with my right leg, so sadly I was still in the wheelchair for another two to three months. Rose, Danielle, Alyssa, and Demi all came to pick me up. They had kept on track by going on some of the tours while I was in the hospital. They went on tour without me, but at least the fans weren’t upset. Niall remained in the hospital for another week after me before he was finally released. He went back to London to help finish up the recording. I made sure I said goodbye to him, along with a big old kiss.

The girls helped me take it easy, so I wasn’t allowed to go to any of the concerts for another two weeks. Adam and the group were supposed to be with us for the whole rest of the year, but were cut off short with an important album to record. I was a little disappointed by that, but it is what it is.

“You know you’re all over the news and online right Rai? Don’t think of this as a negative, it’s totally positive. You’re everywhere!” Demi exclaims.

Demi had agreed to stay home with me for the first concert that I was missing. She was trying to cheer me up about missing it, by telling me that I was everywhere. She had a point, but I didn’t want to agree with it. We were sitting on the couch, watching some show that was yet again for the second time this week, talking about me. My phone started ringing, and Demi grabbed the remote, muting it so I could answer.

“Hello, this is Rai. Who am I speaking with?” I ask, acting like a mature office woman.

Demi bursts into laughter and I put my finger to my lip, making her laugh even more. I crack a smile and finally she cools down.

“This is Niall, who am I speaking with again?” Niall mimics my office woman voice.

I start bursting into laughter, and Demi crawls over me, getting her ear near the phone. She starts rocking me back and forth, screaming at me to tell her what he said. I couldn’t stop laughing, but once I calmed down, I told her and she burst into laughter, which made me laugh even more. I could now see Demi’s point about this being partially positive. I was already starting to cheer up, even if I was missing the concert. I put Niall on speaker phone, and the three of us ended up talking for a whole hour.

Once I hung up, me and Demi both had another laugh. I could totally see now why she took this so positively. I finally kind of felt like not all of the spotlight was directed on me. It felt nice. It felt free.

HAPPY LUCCESS DAY! Oh my gosh I am so excited! So I messaged Bri, and I don't know when she is going to be on, but if she doesn't come on within the next half hour to the next hour or so, I will update again! We will be updating back and forth once she comes on so yeah! Thank you all so much, this day would not be possible without you! I love you all!

I also have some bad news......

After this Luccess day, there will be a story final and then the story will sadly be over. It's time to sum up the story. But, there is some good news to this as well.
