Hope

Kasey's POV

I stood there, looking at myself in the mirror. I could do it you know. My trembling hand reached for the razor.Maybe it could help me, maybe it would take away my pain. I closed my eyes and grimaced, preparing for the pain that would come.
"GET UP EVERYONE! BREAKFAST!" Janet's voice alarmed me. I dropped the razor and looked at myself in the mirror with disgust. What was I thinking? I couldn't do that to myself, I just couldn't, there had to be another way.
I trailed out of the bathroom, passing Sally bitch on the way.

Sally's POV

I barged into weirdo Kasey as I passed her. She gave me the silent treatment, well she never talks, what did I expect?
As I entered the bathroom, I noticed a razor in the middle of the bathroom floor. I froze. Picking it up, I caught my reflection in the mirror. Fake, all fake I thought to myself. Everything was fake, the hair, the makeup, the lashes. But if I ever took it off, what would they see, the scars, the -
Before I knew what I was doing, the razor cut into my skin, leaving a red line across my wrist.
Dropping the razor, I ran to the tap cleaning out my wound.
As if it was going to stop the blood...

Kasey's POV

I made my way silently to the kitchen. I hated how no one acknowledged me, no one even turned their heads at my presence. I sat down and helped myself to some toast. At least today was going to be different. Today I was going to run away.
